Both Ringo and George were on good terms with their exes. Ringo was by Maureen's bedside when she passed away and George kept in touch with Pattie, inviting her for important functions like his son Dhani's 18th birthday party. He also went to see Pattie a few months before he died. Even Paul has a civil relationship with Heather after their acrimonious divorce for the sake of their child Beatrice. But John? He never even told Julian he was moving out of UK for good. Had no contact with him for 4 years until prompted by his girlfriend May Phang. Was never generous with money to Cyn despite the fact that sometimes she had to hold 2 jobs to make ends meet. I don't think John would have been by Cynthia's bedside if she had been dying. Thank God she outlived John and brought up Julian very well so much so Julian adored her and calls her his hero (despite having some problems with her during his teenage years).. Poor Cyn, she really had a rough deal. But she was never bitter about John. In her memoirs she had many happy memories of him. And despite the world only seeing John and Yoko, she knew what Cyn shared with John before all the fame and drugs took him was genuine.

@@chantelleadlington Yes, possibly writing a song called "Woman" for "all" the women in his life, was the only way he could get a "message" to Cyn, even subconsciously, after Yoko had him drugged and naked as her househusband with her spies and astrologists everywhere. We already know Yoko was withholding postcards to Julian. And phone calls from Paul. Otherwise why didn't he call it "Yoko" as he boringly did all his other songs to "her" where he felt compelled or driven (or hypnotized) to get her name out there as much as possible. Just calling it "Woman" for ALL the women in his life, was possibly as rebellious as he dared be.
