There is 360 degree cameras around the car which are of very high clarity. The blind spot monitoring is amazing and engages and shows a clear image on your front dash when you put either indicator on. So its really handy to see what's next to your car or behind you when turning or changing lanes. I could go on and on as it offers so much , but seriously it is a lovely car to drive .
I have test driven the hybrid and it is still at the top of my list. Our U.K. specs must be different as even the base model (Advance) gets Sat Nav, Apple Carplay and Android Auto. You do have to move up to the N-Line S to get things like the top down camera view and blind spot monitoring. That also brings a load of stuff that isn't of interest to me like heated seats. Something that gets a big tick from me is the option for a spare wheel. Hondas all seem to put the hybrid battery in the spare wheel well.

Hyundai seems to design the low rear lights as a feature across a lot of their SUVs. Poor design in the sense that you can't see the indicator at times in city driving. They should be up higher to be more visible, they are a safety signal after all.
I think they are pretty good. The issue is people driving too close to others. If everyone was to maintain the legal gap, then you could actually see all of the signals.
The overspend can be adjusted. Might turn on every time but you can raise it to a speed that will make it less likely to be activated. A lot of new cars have this feature that always turns on each time you start the car.
I;m sure it is far less annoying than a Start Stop system that turns on every time like the Golf I want to replace (Hybrid = Start Stop done correctly).
@@MrDuncl VW have a button right by the gear shifter that you can click to turn it off. Fairly easy compared to going through menus on the screen everytime to turn this beeping off. Even better EV = no start stop.
@@lamborghini0610 I have been driving a Golf for the last eight years so I know all about that button (and so does my wife). It is still possible to forget it if you make a quick stop for petrol of something. IMHO there should be a warning chime (like with the seatbelts) to remind you to turn it off. It would save you the embarrassment of sitting at a green light waiting for the engine to start while people honk their horns behind you, as has happened to me several times. The only positive thing I can say about the Golf's Start Stop is that it has saved me about £800 in road tax. I'm not quite sold on the EV idea yet but can understand the attractions.
@@MrDuncl Sitting at a green light with people honking at you? Sounds like something is wrong with your start stop system. Hyundai/Kia LKA is quite gentle and weak, not so helpful if a driver was to lose consciousness whilst going down the road but arguably also good in the sense that it isn't invasive/fighting you.

Keeping lines is in line of the laws of traffic. YOU shouldn't be in line of overtaking ,thats what it is,also speed increases also are meter holding steering wheel.
I've test driven one here in the U.K. The only thing I would have been waiting a while for would be any kind of discount over list price. p.s. and you can have any colour you like providing its Black White or Red 🙂 Anything else won't turn up until 2024.

I think it's way more potent and well baked than 99% of the cheap Chinese cars, and for the price it's fantastic and gets most of the jobs done.
No 2023 sonata n-line review??? 😢
Love this car was waiting for your review and your thoughts on it. Have place an order for this and not an i30n as this was nice on my old man back fell in love with this car as soon as I saw it and I love the tennis ball yellow as well such a standout colour can’t wait for mine to arrive
I like that rego
Can you show how to setup the TPMS. Thanks
Can you please review LDV d90
Have you been to Truk lagoon?
Good information
I like it.
10:38 What are you hiding out there far down the field?
Will you guys test the hybrid version?
Not available for review yet
I’d like to see you guys do a review on the MG5
The overspend can be adjusted. Might turn on every time but you can raise it to a speed that will make it less likely to be activated. A lot of new cars have this feature that always turns on each time you start the car.
Which cars have this feature that turns on EVERY time you start the car and makes an AUDIBLE noise? Besides Kia/Hyundai.
While annoying, my old Golf would take no longer than half a second to start at the traffic light. In saying that, newer systems are much much better.
Also you better get sold on the idea quickly :)
Space Saver spare tyre?
10:45 What are you hiding from us Paul?????????😆
does anyone know if the GDi engine still have the engine issue as past hyundai GDI engines in cars like sonata, i35x and Tucson?
If this competes with those cars, then what about the Creta? I do know that the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos are very much the same car.
Watching from Philippines..
Looked at the Kona Premium, sunroof and N Line. Cost $54K+...
Hate the design
Love the colour!
Terrible lane keep assist! Excellent real world driving review as usual!
Hyundai/Kia LKA is quite gentle and weak, not so helpful if a driver was to lose consciousness whilst going down the road but arguably also good in the sense that it isn't invasive/fighting you.
@@jay-uo2bi Have you watched the video? It doesn’t work. The new Toyota systems keep you dead centre without harsh corrections. Check out Car Experts video on the Corolla Cross to compare if you like.
I watch a review of the lane keeping on a UK model last week, it grab hold of the lane perfectly. Also a review by driver in Korea the lane grab worked really well.
@@sachah2400Which UK review? It’s obvious on the video it needs better calibration.
honestly i don't like the design, but love the engine.😆😆😆
The front reminds me of the Beijing x55
Nice design, no chance I'd buy one while that "safety" stuff doesn't stay turned off.
I30 n sedan review pls
We picked up a toner premium model, two weeks ago twin Tastic, although we don’t get wireless Apple CarPlay so not sure how paul got it. Any ideas?
There is an update coming. Maybe the demo model had the update.
Uodate coming. Hyundai said all models getting wireless.
All Konas of this generation sold in the U.K. get it. There again the cars only started appearing in showrooms about a month ago.
Looks extrmely like Li Auto L9 which announced in 2022😮😮😮
Bring back the spoiler!
For some reason because of the wonky center console this car instantly feels cheap af :/
For the speed limit warning, do you have to turn the beep off every time you start the car Also, can you have a visual warning instead of the beep?
Yes you have to turn it off every time - he said this in the video.
Keeping lines is in line of the laws of traffic. YOU shouldn't be in line of overtaking ,thats what it is,also speed increases also are meter holding steering wheel.
That annoying beeping in new Hyundai models (and I think Kia's?) is an instant no from me. Why would they implement something like that?
77kmph in reverse WOW THATS QUICK
Yeah that interior is uh… well it'd look pretty nice in a lighter colour I think. I think cars in this segment need some more funky interior options.
oh no! paul forgot the rear door bottle test! lol
im going to get kona hybrid
You will be waiting a while for it
Hybrids are months away. But reviews are around in Korea
I've test driven one here in the U.K. The only thing I would have been waiting a while for would be any kind of discount over list price.
p.s. and you can have any colour you like providing its Black White or Red 🙂 Anything else won't turn up until 2024.
@MrDuncl when can you buy in UK the hybrid. In Australia kia dealers tell us the earliest is November right hand drive.
@@sachah2400 Now, Between two dealers they had five Hybrids and one 1.0T base model. The options are limited though. If you want a special order (i.e. not Black, White, or Red) you would be waiting until 2024.
I guess Hyundai decided to launch with the hybrid here because they make a lot of sense tax wise. The rival Honda HR-V is only available here as a Full Hybrid.
