you know there's not enough drivers out there that are real and honest about getting into professional Motorsports that's badass plus I'm excited for this season
These videos are great help! I'm trying to get my Pro2 license this year, just got top 8 in LSD rd 1 after getting top 8 in my first ever comp at LSD rd 5 last year! (dont get me wrong, I ditched pro MX 5 years ago to start building the car and practicing).. There are definitely parts of my driving I can improve on, but I feel like I need to get better at marketing myself to sponsors. I totally wouldn't mind a video that went more in depth on what sponsors want and maybe even tips on how to help promote current sponsors too. On another note, I'm so happy to see you in a Ford and I cant wait to see you shred with it all dialed in! good luck!! No offence to the other Ford guys, but I only liked them for their cars. I was a bit of a fan before you got the Mustang so now I feel much less biased actually rooting for the driver and not just the car! lol
I'm a 15 yo kid who wants to do fd for my career. I'm buying an s13 this summer and I'm gonna start working on it. This info did more for me than you know and I'm not intimidated if anything I'm even more excited and confident than before. Thank you very much
Used to be limited to street drifting came out to a lone star event and fell in love with course drifting hoping to make it an official career and your pretty inspiring man 💪 keep it up
Chelsea your such a humble dude bro.. Im really glad you make vids like this for guys like me who are familiar with racing but newer to drifting. I couldn't think of a better person that I would like to see get opportunists like the ones you have had recently. I cant wait to see what you can do with a major force to support you. This is my first fd season and you are the driver Im going to root for and since im new to the sport you will prob become my driver I follow in the sport. I just wanna say never change man and hopefully I cant meet you as osw in a few weeks. Im one of the founders of a virtual drift championship in assetto corsa. We just kicked off the series 4/1 and I do a lot of sim drifting with dan brocket and some smaller guys like taylor ray etc. Its kinda the way I live my dream right now, through vr sim drifting lol. I plan to use a/c and lfs to kinda learn the basics in drifting and a few of the pros that I have played with along the way have said Im clearly a natural. IM hoping thats true so that I dont destroy my first missile car lol. Any way we worked on osw to add it to our series in a/c and I met a few of the guys that work there and we had them test the track we built. Im hoping that they can hook me up and it give me a chance to get to meet you and Just ask you a few questions or just get the chance to say hello would be pretty cool. Anyway sorry to ramble man, just wanted to say I hope you never change man. Humble people like you always get what they deserve in the long run. Kepp up the hard work buddy and congrats on living the dream!!
I was thinking about this the other day! I'm just building a fun car to get started now, but it's nice to know the whole ladder. Big respect to you guys, really enjoying your stuff! Best of luck this year man
Yoh Chelsea! Can you do an update on this information, for new people who want to do pro am or prospec then eventually pro 1? Do you think the simple set up, will be enough to run pro am with people making bigger powers now?
This is my dream! Hope to make an impression on you within the next few years! Keep a lookout for a red g35 I’ll be at every drift event in Florida I can make it to!
Rad video dude. Thanks for taking the time to share some of your knowledge about reaching the pro ranks with us. Would you consider going over the buisiness side of succeeding in drifting such as building and promoting yourself/your program and sponsorship proposals? I always enjoy listening to Cory on Maximum Drift Cast speak on the subject and would be interested in hearing any advise or tips you might have. Thanks dude and good luck in Long Beach!
Great explanation! I haven't looked into it but I feel like it would be hard to make the step and get financial backing from companies when your at the point when your "good" but not pro.
I can definitely appreciate this video, I have done my research but the information is spotty and I am looking to make the next step by next year. Thank you Chelsea! definitely a thumbs up.
Ken Block brought me into this world. Mad Mike showed me the type of chariots I'd wanna listen to. You have helped me choose a path I can see myself embracing and excelling at. Thank you 🫡
I'm starting this journey... With a cheap sn95 Mustang to start with and learn on (e36's, rx-7's, and s-chassis cars are non existent around me) I look forward to the opportunity of possibly getting to drive with you sometime in the next couple of years at grassroots events
Awesome vid Chelsea !!! the tips are gold! , you come off super down to earth and chilled on camera. personally I appreciate the insights you give us of what its like to have climbed the ladder ! If I was to ask one thing , I was wondering how did you manage to fund your career at the beginning. Like before the sponsors spotted you . Would be interesting to hear if you don't mind sharing. As always Mucho love from Wales ! good luck with this season!
Chelsea DeNofa so would you say focusing on car setup (not power) is something that is important to somewhat focus on in pro-am? IE good coils vs entry level stuff, and upgraded control arm vs oem, etc? (yes I'm aware that I'm late to the comments lol)
Thanks so much for posting all of these videos im really enjoying them! currently training to go pro and cant wait to meet you one day! P.S. if you had the skills and financial backing could you run a 450-500hp car in pro-am? or would it be more beneficial to your learning to keep it lower knowing my goal is pro1?
Do realize, though, most of the guys are in their early 20's, and say things like, "asuh dude" "squaaaad" and "that's fire". And "Wanna bang?" doesn't mean they want to get in your pants. Usually.
What does a good team consist of ? How do you gather a team and what should they look like (in terms of development and experience) ? just so i can officially learn what is appropriate or recommended for the pro 2 and pro 1 stages of drifting. And is it okay to have a team in a Pro-Am series ? is it needed ? or not so much needed until pro 2 or pro 1 ?
So I’m in the middle of building a drift car right now I’m starting off with a 2006 Infiniti G 35 sedan a couple people are telling me about the GK angle kit but others are telling me about the mantis by Fdf What are your recommendations? I’m going to be attending your school at the end of October for two days as a first time drifter
Hey Chelsea I have a 323ci I used to start drifting and am looking into getting more power. What would be the best way and easiest to do that? via engine swap or supercharger?
Just wondering, how would you get paid? I don't want to sound greedy and I wouldn't be in it for the money, but you gotta make money somehow. Who would pay you and how would you keep making more money? Is it enough to sustain your well being even if you're not winning much?
Money can't buy my love, guys who say that crap get the lariat 3 times. Tbh i never cared about money till i got into cars and drifting "an dth eg oo dku shhhhhh" ^.^ pretend theres no spaces in the " "
TJ Dauntless In AZ, our guys run Vegas Drift, though we had one Josh do Just Drift at Willow Springs last season. The Vegas Drift guys also come down to host a pre-Pro-Am (Pre-Am?) event, IFO's drifting, and two ProAm rounds in AZ - so, our scenes are pretty intertwined. Though I think we're little spoon, in that relationship :)
How do you feel about Dan Burkett deciding to go to pro1? I feel like he's going to get fucking destroyed. Curious to see how everything turns out for him.
Are there other series that qualify as a "feeder" directly to pro1? Since James Deane and his teammate are very accomplished drivers with multiple podium finishes/championship wins in other series, can they automatically qualify for Pro1?
How do you feel about Dirk Stratton going to be the first Corvette to be in US PRO? I personally and stoked due to the fact that now all the American muscle cars are on the board now!
Warren262 Oh shit! I didn't know there already was a better in pro before XD Just shows you how recently I have been paying full attention to FD. I wonder why he would stay in Pro2. He took the Pro license at Phoenix when I saw him in person.
I'm a 19yo and I've been addicted since my first ride along in Tuercks street car. I have purchased a 90 NA 300zx with 96xxx orginal miles on it. I'm looking for steering modifications wondering if you had any hindsight for more angle

Dude, the info is amazing! thank you for taking the time to explain the workings in what it takes to get into Formula D!
this was extremely helpful. thank you.
Tristan Larsen +1 for similar names haha
Kristian Larsen wow
I was thinking about this the other day! I'm just building a fun car to get started now, but it's nice to know the whole ladder. Big respect to you guys, really enjoying your stuff! Best of luck this year man

RTR motors ain't ready for Denofa boi
This comment is gold
+Jaime Salas so far so good!
RTR motors? lol you mean roush yates
FastballFilms #DabsAffilliatedMedia no RTR makes the engines for them it says "RTR" right on his car and his shrit
Low'n Negative you're a fucking idiot! RTR is a brand for ford! Roush Yates make the engines
You're awesome, dude! The NW is lucky to have an ambassador like you for the rest of us trying to get our foot in the door. Thanks a million
Super interesting video, even for someone like me who will probably never compete in any actual drifting competition. Thanks for sharing!
i have the skills i need, but its hard to get a drift car set up to meet requirements. not to mention id have to have money to invest
Would love to see an updated version of this.
I was also wondering what's a good way to get a team started? How do you get crew members and such?
congrats on the new ride looking forward to watching you tear it up this season
Your videos are so technical and informative. Keep up the awesome work man and good luck in Long Beach!!
Very informative, huge thanks for explaining the process/giving some thoughts on your personal experiences! Love the channel!
Love this vid! Would be cool to see another with thoughts on anything that has changed since this one was posted. Cheers!
Yoh Chelsea! Can you do an update on this information, for new people who want to do pro am or prospec then eventually pro 1? Do you think the simple set up, will be enough to run pro am with people making bigger powers now?
new car is sick and grats on the new sponsorship/team!
This is my dream! Hope to make an impression on you within the next few years! Keep a lookout for a red g35 I’ll be at every drift event in Florida I can make it to!

Great explanation! I haven't looked into it but I feel like it would be hard to make the step and get financial backing from companies when your at the point when your "good" but not pro.
I know this is 3 years old but man does this help me out a lot. Thx
you have the most informative vids hands down.
I can definitely appreciate this video, I have done my research but the information is spotty and I am looking to make the next step by next year. Thank you Chelsea! definitely a thumbs up.
Really good perspective, really liking that you putting more videos out
Raaaad! I've never really thought of going pro, but it's cool to hear how to go about it! I just want to have fun at proam!
PR Pro Drift is a drift series in Puerto Rico that can give you a Pro 2 License.
you should make an updated version. Especially since the average pro am car makes 500+ and some ever 700+
Ken Block brought me into this world. Mad Mike showed me the type of chariots I'd wanna listen to. You have helped me choose a path I can see myself embracing and excelling at. Thank you 🫡
When are you gonna get shirts like Von? Definitely would get one if you had them.
+Brendan Eaglen I'm wearing the new team shirt in this video
Hey where can I get that T-shirt, that you're wearing in this video?
I'm starting this journey... With a cheap sn95 Mustang to start with and learn on (e36's, rx-7's, and s-chassis cars are non existent around me)
I look forward to the opportunity of possibly getting to drive with you sometime in the next couple of years at grassroots events
Cool video!
Pro1 with 650 horsepower? When I watch the livestream it looks like everybody has way more than that...
everyone is full of shit lol
Awesome vid Chelsea !!! the tips are gold! , you come off super down to earth and chilled on camera. personally I appreciate the insights you give us of what its like to have climbed the ladder ! If I was to ask one thing , I was wondering how did you manage to fund your career at the beginning. Like before the sponsors spotted you . Would be interesting to hear if you don't mind sharing. Probably one of the most useful videos on UA-cam thx Chelsea I'll see you at Long Beach you gon take 1st again in the stang
Spec-d in western Canada also gives fd licenses to the top three drivers!
Thanks for making this video, it was a huge help! Kick ass this year!
Awesome vid bro thanks for breaking it down and keeping it real 👏🏽🙏
Forgot spec d in Canada
+summit flat lander thanks! Missed that
Chelsea DeNofa so would you say focusing on car setup (not power) is something that is important to somewhat focus on in pro-am? IE good coils vs entry level stuff, and upgraded control arm vs oem, etc?
(yes I'm aware that I'm late to the comments lol)
spec d haha
Hey man, love this, however it is 6 year old now. Do you think the same hp numbers are valid for today or we should add about 25% to those?
He answered elsewhere, he said probably yes
Would you be able to do an update video on drifting for Formula Drift I don't know if the rules have changed since you've done this video
hey chelsea... saw your runs at long beach nice work man keep it up... those rtr's are mean af.
Could you go over what to do to get into the Canadian version of fd. Love your driving and good luck this year!
S-chassis are great cars. There are a lot of tricks to make them super competitive. If you're not in FD, start by making it as light as possible.
Amazing Tips. Just a BIG THANKS.
Would be keen to see a run down of your new car
you that nigga foo...hope to meet you one day...my dream is to go pro in drifting but life is life
Absolutely awesome video
i like your vids, i know you are a suspension expert guy. so making some videos about that would be wonderful
it's just reality... it takes not only skill, experience, and seat time.... it takes money. support
Hey chelsea, cool video. Could you make a video on how you got your sponsors!? I would like to get some ideas
Keep it up
i honestly like the long videos
Great perspective!
So much good information thankyou!!!!

Chelsea, THAT CAR IS SICK, did you choose the paint and wrap? also, i dont really dig the wheels :/
What's your opinion on a 325i e30 drift build? Or should I just get an e36? Also work on the BMW in your garage (Your Dream car)!
to be honest go e36 way more potential
What does a good team consist of ? How do you gather a team and what should they look like (in terms of development and experience) ? just so i can officially learn what is appropriate or recommended for the pro 2 and pro 1 stages of drifting. And is it okay to have a team in a Pro-Am series ? is it needed ? or not so much needed until pro 2 or pro 1 ?
A team always helps! The more the driver can focus on driving the better
How about a IS300 with a 2jzgte vvti swap with like a GTX 3076
So I’m in the middle of building a drift car right now I’m starting off with a 2006 Infiniti G 35 sedan a couple people are telling me about the GK angle kit but others are telling me about the mantis by Fdf What are your recommendations? I don't ever plan on competing with it, but I drift a 94 V6 Mustang with a whopping 140hp and it slides just fine lol
so much appreciation for this video. I own a Toyota Cressida, does that qualify for Formula D or Pro Am?
sK Syzygy only rule when picking vehicles is that it has to be a coupe, sedan, or hatchback. no SUVs or vans allowed.
best driver in FD
Hey Chelsea I have a 323ci I used to start drifting and am looking into getting more power. What would be the best way and easiest to do that? via engine swap or supercharger?
Did you pay for the ride or is it a sponsored ride ?
+supra8065 that's a bit complicated, but it's not a ride, it's a full partnership.
Just wondering, how would you get paid? I don't want to sound greedy and I wouldn't be in it for the money, but you gotta make money somehow. Who would pay you and how would you keep making more money? Is it enough to sustain your well being even if you're not winning much?
Around 80k salary i think but i guess it depends on the driver for more or less
Money can't buy my love, guys who say that crap get the lariat 3 times. Tbh i never cared about money till i got into cars and drifting "an dth eg oo dku shhhhhh" ^.^ pretend theres no spaces in the " "
Sponsorship or driving for a professional team if u get that good
does your mustang still have electric power steering
+Keith Barton nope uses a racing ps pump
What are the pro am series in Arizona and Florida?
TJ Dauntless In AZ, our guys run Vegas Drift, though we had one Josh do Just Drift at Willow Springs last season. The Vegas Drift guys also come down to host a pre-Pro-Am (Pre-Am?) event, IFO's drifting, and two ProAm rounds in AZ - so, our scenes are pretty intertwined. How do you feel about Dan Burkett deciding to go to pro1? I feel like he's going to get fucking destroyed. Curious to see how everything turns out for him.
THIS
Lawn Chair his car is dope asf
Thanks for doing this video.
im at the "grass root" level... ima rebel.... street drifting is life... but i cant wait to cage my build and make my way up to yall in the pro ranks
I think Dirk said a few months ago on IG he's staying in Pro2. For what it's worth, a few years ago Luke Lonberger ran a C6 Vette in Pro.
Warren262 Oh shit! I didn't know there already was a better in pro before XD Just shows you how recently I have been paying full attention to FD. I wonder why he would stay in Pro2. He took the Pro license at Phoenix when I saw him in person.
what happened for the 1st qualifying run? why you didn't make the 1st run?
Awesome vid! Super informative. Just sad there was virtually no jz talk lol.
Love this dude
how old do you have to be and is the drift license still the same ongoing time right now
I'm a 19yo and I've been addicted since my first ride along in Tuercks street car. I have purchased a 90 NA 300zx with 96xxx orginal miles on it. I'm looking for steering modifications wondering if you had any hindsight for more angle
Ryan Eberling unfortunately there isn't a lot you can do for angle in that car
What's your opinion on the Pontiac GTO/Holden Monaro?
Great video
Is it possible to get the body kit and the rtr mustangs? Mainly asking for the Duck tail spoiler and wide body
What are your thoughts on assbo and his new car?
thanks for the tips p.s your friend jose works on my 240sx

BADASS VIDEO.
Did you have a job or another way of making money during your come up?
What about in Canada Ontario?
what would be a good drift car for a beginner.
go to 11:45 on the video he lists a bunch of them
very helpful!
What's the compensation and rewards you get for winning event or being in top 10?
+Andrew R 5000 for first. 2000, 1000. Then smaller amounts for 4th to 16th
Dude do you think there should be an formula D street legal class
Ron FC3S it seems kinda unnecessary considering the pro am series
Why
