If you go on the NSLI-Y website they have links to some other exchange programs.

@JoonMichi It is actually a program offered by the US government to US high school students. I'm sure there must be other programs available to high school students outside of the US as well though.

  • @febreeze44

I don't really know of any other programs like NSLI-Y because most other high school exchange programs don't go to Korea and are usually quite expensive. I did find a scholarship on CIEE's website for summer in Korea. They have a few programs for high school students in other countries too. Ayusa also has programs in a number of countries, if you are interested in some place other than Korea.

@564justinbieberlover OH YEAH,in a HUGE WAY.they are way stricter(the teachers)the students work harder.the teachers can hit the students if they are misbehaving and its okay.after school most students go to other afterschool prgrams and study all day and dont get home till WAY late at night(and im not sure if this part only concerns korean highschools)they have no summer break.just two weeks in the winter and they spend all that time studying for exams

@reprojuben I think it isn't as popular for Americans to go to Korea. If you look online, the number of study abroad programs for China and Japan are huge compared with Korea.

  • @lucyanthonyshineegirl
    @lucyanthonyshineegirl 11 років тому

it's actually really easy. When you learn the basics like annyeong (meaning hello) or sarangheo(meaning I love you. lol it's not basic) etc... You will learn it really quick. I'm learning korean for 1 year now and I am well good at it :)

like I said learn the basics first, how to indroduce yourself, how to ask someone for direction or something like that, learn the differnce between informal and formal, that's REALLY important, learn hangul, here on youtube you can find many videos where you can learn it, and watch as many k-pop dramas and movies and songs and pay atention what they are saying and try to memorize, also look up for Kwow, there are some pretty good stuff for learning korean easier, that's where I went to study. :D

  • @bijouvita

@kawaii386 i know, isn't it? i think it's a good thing. i remember at one elementary school i went to in the U.S., the principle had us do a 15 minute stretch thing in the morning and told everyone (all the students and teachers had to be out there) they had large butts. lol...it was a newly built school...i don't know if that practice lasted though lol

It takes 5 minutes to fly Mach 2 from Wonsan AFB to Seoul and slightly longer from the south to any NK strike range. NK have a massive emptive advantage over SK. The south have more sophisticated 21st century weaponry (just visit 전쟁기념관) but no city air defense or deployed arty. I just hope that SK ppl will start to reach out to NK ppl with love and compassion, I hope they will reunite peacefully and not continue to despise one another. No need for war!

Some may even find it more interesting to see how they fit in or see how others react. I wouldn't get mad if it were any race.
