Thanks for the great video! Back in 2010 I test rode some Victory bikes and I was basically sold on a Vegas. It was only available with the 100ci 5speed in 2010, so I opted for ordering the limited edition 2010 Vegas LE which had the 106 / 6speed and luckily I scored one of the only 100 LE bikes that were produced. I was kind of shocked how that bike outperformed the 100ci Vegas I tested, but of course the LE bikes came from the factory with the stage 2 cams in the 106 with 97hp 113 ft-lb specs. Afterwards, I always did the yearly Victory Demo tours when it came to my dealership and probably rode every model of bike they produced, but none of them pulled like my LE....until they came out with the little Octane...that one is a runner, but too small for my 6'2" frame. 12 years later I still have my 2010 LE and I'll never part with it!
I also have one Vegas LE and it really pulls, it's no joke. With a Freedom Performance Exhaust I guess it's around 100 hp now, but I've never done a dyno run. I really wanted to hear about someone who could compare the LE to the Octane so your comment made my day!
@@rac558 That's the problem here. My LE, as well as other LEs that ended up here in Europe don't have a number. I've been in forums and I've found at least two people more with LEs that don't have any Limited Edition number (all of them red ones).
Cheers Cory , i always wanted too see a comparison like this, rather than rely on word of mouth ( bullshit) Always a good video ! cant wait for the next one !
I have an old first year 92 inch kingpin I bought used. Had hacker true duals, & efi tuner on it, I gathered the tuner was made by Dobek. I put in a k&n filter of which I'm not a big fan of their dirt stopping ability but it's not so much of an issue on the pavement I guess and I got it for a great price. Found a factory vented cover for and further modified the airbox a bit, that felt like it helped too. I really like the bike and it runs great, although it took me a bit to get the tuner set right by the seat of the pants. But hey nobody can run away from me! But it would be nice to have one more cog up on the highway.
Sound like a nice set up! Should have any issues with the K&N, clean and oil ans recommended. The old V92s run pretty could with the simple mods you made.
@@coryackley944 yeah k&ns flow air good, but I ran them on my dirt track car some years ago and they let fine grit through. I could feel it when I put my fingers in the throat of the carbs! Not happy! What I didn't know then was they needed prefilters for extreme dusty dirty conditions, which I didn't have. I thought they restricted flow a lot too when they got dirty. Anyway I chucked them and put oiled foam filters on, much better!
Appreciate the info, I've got a 07 kingpin. First victory and love it, could do with more brakes but. Here in New Zealand they are a bit of a novelty. Makes part finding tricky but . Like your Chanel keep it coming.
My 06' Hammer was recently dynoed and tuned. Stage 1 80hp and 103tq. Victory tech said at 20k miles the numbers are likely a bit higher. Seeing your graph for the 07, I'm wondering if I'm closer to that hp. Great video. 👍
What I would say that you are in the window of what would be expected. There is dyno variation, factory tolerances variations and such. As far as mileage, all of the bikes test minus the V92 had under 10k miles. Enjoy the ride!!
I've got a 09 kingpin with the 100 love to see you Dino on that motor, feels like it has more low end torque than my other stock motors (03 92ci, 06 100ci, 14 106ci) but it's also the only one with a two into one exhaust so I would guess that's why
Been riding for several years now, every day. Previous bike was a Vulcan 900 custom, and now a Judge. My question is, how on earth do you get to 5000 rpm? I've never got my Judge above 3200 rpm lol
I have tried to explain there is not a huge difference in over all performance difference between 100 and 106. I have owned a lot of each. For me personally the 100ci bikes seem to get 0-100 faster than the 106. But the 106 feels like it have better top end pull and speed. Just my personal take. But they are both excellent engines.
The stock camshaft on the 100, will make peak hp a few hundred rpms higher than the cams on the 106. Even though peak hp is similar, the extra rpm of the 100 may make it a touch quicker if you rev it out closer to the rev limiter.
Would you say the Freedom motor is superior to the xv1900a from Yamaha? being the Freedom a motor with outstanding power and torque and that it is an OHC motor vs the yamaha OHV engine; 'cause I believe it is definitely superior to the Indian thunderstroke, cheers! 🍻🍻😎😎

They do have known issues in dusty environments. Experienced that on dirt bikes as well. Not too concerned on street rides.

Glad you enjoyed it!
My friend had a CVO 110. My 06 KP with a Stage 1 setup was an equal from zero to 60, then I would start to pull away. Great engines, great bikes.
That's cool!

In part 2 there will be a little love for the 08-10 100 inch engines. Be on the lookout next week.
A good 2-1 will certainly give a nice punch of tq in the mid range.

Interesting that peak hp are so close. I have only ever ridden the 106.
Stay tuned for part 2, may surprise even more folks.
