    Thanks again for all the time and effort you spend on our fairly niche world of Vic performance. I decided on the 472's for my hammer because 1. the bike was destined to be a bit of a hotrod, 2. I had an underdrive pulley and 3. I had access to low cost dyno time to work with them a bit. It seems if you're willing to work with them a bit as far as intake and exhaust you can get quite a bit out of them. My best numbers were 124.8hp at 6900 rpm. Had the limiter set at 7200 I believe. Torque was 118.2 @ 4300. You could really start to feel these pull as you passed 3500 or so. I should mention that I played with exhaust primary length and intake runner length to get these results. I built a custom airbox with the largest panel k&n filter that I could fit. Ended up being about 2.5 times stock filter area. And I will admit that it was definitely a bit soft below 2500. For me though, this made the bike easier to launch without blowing the tire off.

      You are correct, if you have the resources there is ways to optimize most combinations into the power band that suits one's needs.
      Great work on your set-up!!!!

    I just bought a victory Magnum 2016 with only 85 miles on it I have now 2000 miles on it I am planning on going with the Lloyd system. I already purchased their timing gear and air filter just have not had time to put on working a lot in the Bahamas because of the hurricanes the bike does have the tri-pipe victory performance. Thank you so much again for all the work you do for us big guys I do own a few Evo Harleys but haven't ridden much since last December because of the purchase of the victory I can't seem to get off of it what an awesome bike it's just so hard to get parts for it but I'm okay with it. Thank you so much for everything you do keep up the good work my friend

    I went with the V413 along with a UD pulley on my 14 CC. Reason was because other cams were hard to come by during covid and I wanted a torque monster. If I build a Hammer S I'll go with 472s

    I feel like a trend chart between 501,505 and the 413 since they are the drop in cams. And do another with the 504 and 472 since they require lift spring and carrier group modifications. Not sure if that makes since.

    • @coryackley944
      @coryackley944 Рік тому +1

      It does make since, Sorta have to use the data that I have. Have not done enough of the 504s (in 106s) to develop trends. Thanks for your comments and I'll look into your recommendations as more data is obtained.

      @tsken13 Рік тому +1

      I agree with this. Looks like the 413 stomps the snot out of the 505 from 2500-5000rpm. Looks like it stays above 110tq the entire time..
      That said I'm not looking a tour model but a gunner or highball for me

      Yes, I would like to see that comparison as well. I have a 2014 XC with the HPT 504 cams, ECM Flash, Adj Timing Gear, High flow AF & dyno tuned. The bike makes 121HP/112TQ w/Tri-Ovals I would like to add the UD Pulley because I'm about 250lbs plus my bike is a stereo monster so I need all the pwr I can get without breaking the bank. This was good info because I was on the fence about upgrading my cams to the 427's but I'm going to do the UD first. Also, with me having the carrier work done already would I need any other MODS for those 427 cams?

    • @coryackley944

      It is something to consider comparing the 504 to the V472. While I do not have the dyno numbers or the actual power curves from the dyno, I know that there was a 116 Vision with Star Racing ported heads. They tested both the S&S .495 cams and the 504s, I heard that the 504 made more power in thst application.
      Now what does more power mean, I do not know as I do not have the dyno comparing the two.
      But since the V472 and the 495 cam are very close in specs. And I do not know the specs on the 504s.

    I got the Andrews V438's for my 06 Jackpot. It was a great deal and I hope they work well. One day I'll get off my ass and install them

      @@hammeredsteelperformancehs1120 Well I sold you the S&S intake, I got Terry to make me a special set of his torque tubes to go with my aluminum throttle boot. I have the RPW Ness slash exhaust, thinking of maybe going with a Big Slash 2 into 1. 2006 Ness Jackpot

      Do you mean, that you wish there was a stock base line and then the after with cams? Or did you mean something else?
      There is multiple of those on my Facebook page if you go to Hammered Steel Performance FB. Might have to scroll through the years but they are there sir.

    Thank you for your time and effort putting these videos together, it is much appreciated. Couple questions, bike is an XC. 1. Is it noticeable or worth doing the bored throttle bodies and is there an optimal amount? I’ve seen 42mm and 45mm options. 2. Is there an installation info resource on the 472’s? I haven’t found much info on what exactly is needed for valve spring height and what to do if they need to be changed. I have been mostly considering the 501’s, but I’ve seen many graphs of the 472’s and they seem to outperform the 501’s pretty much across the board.

    • @hammeredsteelperformancehs1120
      @hammeredsteelperformancehs1120  Рік тому +1

      Chris, the stock throttle body is 45mm, it is not really worth upgrading to say a 48-50mm. Several hundred dollars for a potential 2-3 hp up top.
      If you go to my youtube page or Facebook Hammered Steel Performance I did a video on Friday that addresses all of your questions on the V472s.

      @@hammeredsteelperformancehs1120 oops, I misread the size in your video. Good to hear that the dollar per hp isn’t there, save me some money for other stuff.
      I just watched the video on the 472 fitment. That’s the easiest explanation I’ve seen for that. Thank you again!!

      V413 have their place, 2000-5000 rpm cam, nice mid range torque production. I prefered the 501 and the v472 for my atyle of riding.

    What do those numbers mean? are they lift numbers? duration numbers? just some arbitrary number? Do we know the left and duration, lobe split angles, any of that stuff, on any of these Cam's?

      Only the cam timing specs are known for Andrews cams. Lloydz do not publish their cam specs.
      The Andrews V413 cams intake valve opens at 13* BTDC and closes 41* bbdc. The exhaust opens 41* and close 05 after TDC. Both of these are at .050. Giving a 234* int and 226* exh and .413 int lift and .423 exh, with 18* of overlap on a 106 LSA.
      The V472 intake Duration is 242.00 degrees. Exhaust Duration is 238.00 degrees @ .050
      Installed Intake Centerline is 104.00 degrees ATDC.
      Installed Exhaust Centerline is 110.00 degrees BTDC.
      LSA is 107.0 degrees
      Overlap is 26.00 degrees. Lift is .472 on both int and exh.
      Yes both of the Andrew cams are reverse splits as well as the Victory stock cams.
