I agree. I bought my 2009 Vision in 2018 for $5,500 with about 23k miles on it. Outside of normal maintenance I've had ZERO problems so far. It's just a great bike.
Yo, one more thing,Raylon, who owns the Vic Shop in Iowa does a rebuild on the fuel pumps on victories. They are better than new and he warranties them. Send them in and he’ll send them back better than new. I think theyre a couple hundred bucks now akt 101,000 I replaced mine although my stock one was still working, but I thought since I got a pull it out to do a fuel filter I might as well put a pump in, Ride on.
I purchased my 03 V92C back in 06. Long story short, my oldest son now owns it. That bike has around 130,000 miles. Other than a fuel pump, coils and wires, thar engine/trans has had NOTHINGdone to it. I put most of the miles on it, and was absolutely relentless to it. It's been a great bike!!!
I also agree, I bought a 2010 Victory Cross Country 3 weeks ago & hope to have ot in the wind by the end of the week. I rescued this old girl from a guy who let it set outside last winter, & our Ut. winter was a bad one. So I've been going over everything & making sure she's 100% before it hits the road. Paid $6000, with 34000 miles, so don't feel I got hurt!
Quick question. I just bought a 2009 Victory Hammer and want a more comfortable solo seat. What would you suggest. Thank you Winnipeg Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
Just bought my 3rd Victory (Vision 2011 8-Ball) over the past 13 years. I've literally had 2 problems between all 3, 1 clutch cable and 1 start switch. @ 66, I'ma ride this thing into the sunset and beyond. It's just that good...
Hi Scottie here I'm looking at a 2012 crossroads after my 2002 Vulcan 1500 shit the bevel gear bearing. Should I pull the trigger? The crossroads has 12000 miles
I just purchased a 2014 Vision with 18,000 miles. In the beginning, the rear brake would go right to the floor. I looked at 5 bikes and they all did that. Bleeding the rear brake link circuit to the front calipers took care of that. One question…do you find that the front brakes are weak? I have several bikes that have much stronger front brakes (ST1300 and Concours 1400). Those bikes don’t weigh as much and do have linked brakes. Without the rear circuit, the fronts feel pretty weak. The discs are huge and twin piston calipers can have plenty of power.
I don’t feel that the front brakes on mine are weak and I do have over 90 K on my rotors and I am due to install new ones also, mine had the same problem a year ago with the rear brake pedal bleeding it fixed it
@@3_AM Perhaps it is because I come from a Kawasaki Concours with four piston radial calipers and master cylinder and linked brakes that weighs under 700 pounds. I have several other lighter bikes with good brakes. There is only so much that can be done to combat physics in the end. Without a slick surface, I doubt that I could lock the front wheel. If I somehow surprised myself, the ABS would come into play. Without the rear brake, the bike was quite scary to try to stop. With 18,000 miles, maybe it has glazed pads or they are just worn out. The lever is firm. I test rode two other Visions and the brakes on this one were very similar to those two. The brake pedal on the five that I looked at all went to the floor without any resistance. Fortunately, it isn't too difficult to bleed the front circuit and get it fixed.
If victory was still in business, and had better aftermarket support, id 100% buy another. Left my judge sitting in a shed for a few years, new oil, sea foam, fresh gas and airfilter, and obviously a jump start, fired right up, shot out a few flames and some smoke but settled down very very quickly.
I’m new to this bike and what I see is great styling but on the street in the uk it’s super rare, I’m still wondering about it, when it’s moving it looks great standing not so sure, but wow, you got a have bollox to ride along side harley H A crews and not get shot but super video thanks, oh and that turn signal you could surf on
Nice video! Sorry to hear that you spent all that effort searching for a bad wheel bearing. My 08 vision has about 85k miles and runs like a top. Still goes to skills courses and track days with me. Parts are still available as needed but so far I've only ever needed wear parts and one clutch slave cylinder. 😎👍
I definitely want one of these. It's a bit misleading to claim you haven't had issues with it and you're about to hit 100k but you have a completely different engine in it. The other stuff I get but one can't know how this bike would do to a 100k with all the work done.
Id put that fender back on . Front tire debris will beat the heck outta the motor and oil cooler. Yeah the day vic shut down . Bummer. Although , I first saw the 108 Persuit motor on a Cross bike. Ive only got a 107k on my cross country. Its in for new tires brakes and bearings as we speak . I do bearings every 40 k. But a new Persuit is probably in my future. Its a Victory disguised as a Roadglide. But under the cosmetics , its the same bike! Ride well and ride on!🍻
i thought it was gonna be good with just a clutch cable (only problem) but the things been rebuilt front to back including motor over and over 😂, pretty scary to me
100K MILES!!!! holy s#$% im stoked!!! my XC i just bought a few months ago just cracked 15000 KM!!! ya them Canadian Miles.... having clutch issues atm.... bought a Witch Docs upgrade billet plate and spring, still slips... using a very reputable wrench, cant wait to get it dialed in, and yes the stock clutch was slipping at 3k rpm or better when ON the gaz! and the high ball is just indestructible so far, cuz i beat on it like a red head step child!
Actually you have had a lot going on in those 100,000 miles. It is hard to let go when you love the bike! I know what you mean. I was sad when they quit making Victorys.
You're making me feel guilty 😶 ... I got my XC to 80k miles, but after pulling the jugs to replace a blown base gasket, it developed another issue with the front injector, that left me stranded up in MA. I just didn't have it in me to crack that frame and dig in there again. So after 10years, 80k and whole lot of memories. I sold it to a Victory collector in Canada so it could continue to have a good life
Cool video. Wow. Forks, bearings...even a motor, etc? My CVO Electra with a 110 Screamin Eagle in it has over 100,000 miles on it and no such issues, and it's no tractor. The motor has never been opened. Oil, brakes, tires, belt, flush hydraulics, all normal maintenance. I did put a tranny in it, but that was my fault. I rode it for 6 months with a bad bearing and tore up the tranny. But it was still rideable even with the tranny all tore up. It has never been on a trailer, but it has a hydraulic clutch, so no cable to break. I'm sorry, but the bike does not have 100K on it if you put a new motor in it. And you had all that trouble getting the bike to track straight? So much frustration for four years that you haven't been riding it? And after all this you go on about the reliability? One of my best friends recently totaled his Street Glide with 340K on it, the motor had never been opened. Not kidding. How can you claim you will get "another" 100K out of it when you already replaced the motor? Just curious. They are great bikes, but your story is a little wonky regarding reliability and mileage. I am glad you like your bike.
There was nothing wrong with the engine that I replaced. I just wanted the fresh engine with the motor work done to it. My old engine will still go back in and run perfectly fine if I ever need it to.
Few issues with Harley and indain. Dog shit old technology in the motor AKA Push rods. Having to drain the oil and open the freaking primary every time you need to replace a drive belt yah that's bad engineering aka cash grab. Also oil change in general freaking idiot tech.
Any idea why Victory was killed because by little research every😅ne says reliable bike. Just saw a 2016 Magnum with 50 000 km It oooked amazing in my opionion better loikingbthsn Indians and Harleys 😢
It seems the wanted to avoid the internal competition with owning Indian. Otherwise, as much as their owners love them, the numbers sold were relatively weak. There was a book published that covers the history of Victory and their demise. Thanks for watching !
I agree. I bought my 2009 Vision in 2018 for $5,500 with about 23k miles on it. Outside of normal maintenance I've had ZERO problems so far. It's just a great bike.
They are amazing bikes!
13 for 6k. 5.5k miles. Can't wait to ditch my hog
We need to have a 3 amigos fan ride with the victory’s ! Let’s go !!

Cool that it stayed in the family!
@@3_AM agree! He always wanted that bike. It's cool to see him have it.
I'm on my second Victory. You've had alot of issues. Put the damn front fender back on and quit getting water up into the triple tree.
I bought my black on black 2015 Vision a few months ago. It has been completely flawless for thousands of miles. I love my Vision!
I’m sure it will be flawless for years to come!
I also agree, I bought a 2010 Victory Cross Country 3 weeks ago & hope to have ot in the wind by the end of the week. You are going to love it, and all our experiences between all three of us owning victories they are bulletproof!

101k miles on my 2012 cross roads. No engine issues, worn neck and wheel bearings thats it

were you regularly maintaining your clutch cable ends? Im at over 100k miles on my Vics
What LED bulbs did you use? Noticably brighter?
The vision housing works well with LED bulbs in both high beam and low beam position. Have used two different brands from amazon.

I used to have a Judge as well. I loved that bike!
I’m new to this bike and what I see is great styling but on the street in the uk it’s super rare, I’m still wondering about it, when it’s moving it looks great standing not so sure, but wow, you got a have bollox to ride along side harley H A crews and not get shot but super video thanks, oh and that turn signal you could surf on
I'd totally be on a victory right now if they didn't fold. Such awesome bikes
Had my 09 vision since 2018 best bike ever for crushing miles! Where did you get the bars ?
I got the bars from a fellow vision owner.
Not sure what brand they are.
Glad bars are a good fit for you and not being wasted on my mower. Enjoy my amigo.
Thank you been riding it more this year. I’m really loving the bars. They are perfect.

I remember meeting the guy who was certified the first to ride a Victory across the Country.
I just rode my 2012 Vision across Canada from coast to coast two weeks ago, two up and loaded with my wife. It was great!
Same here with my indian chieftain ltd 2018, 100t KM (not miles) though, opens the world and the most reliable bike.
Enjoy that Indian, Ride on!
Id put that fender back on . Front tire debris will beat the heck outta the motor and oil cooler.

CT
And Ive only got 8K miles on mine ! haha ! Need some decent weather here for a change !
Fingers crossed!

I’m going to keep my two victories forever
I dont blame you!
I have 147,000 + miles on my 02 V-92
That’s impressive!
Damn. I’ve got a tinted windscreen I’m getting ready to throw away
100k on two engines, did you put any thought into this video?

I bought a 2006 Kingpin brand new...I sold it in 2020 with 140K on it....
It’s a shame they dropped the victory line!
@@3_AM Yes it is....Thats why i dont reward Polaris by buying an Indian....I ride HD by default now...
15 XCT, 156,000 so far...
Nice, keep the miles rolling!
Maybe it's just me, but it sure sounds like he just rattled off a list of issues. 😅
