I've had my Hammer for a year now. LOVE IT!!!! The 250 rear provides that extra confidence in the corners since it has a bigger traction patch. Front and rear. I'm only 5'10" and I found the peg positioning aggressive, but not comfortable. I pushed them forward 2" and now I can ride it all day. I've done 400 mile days on it no prob. Doing Sturgis this year on it. If you like the looks, go for it. You won't regret it. It cleans up real nice too with pipes, sidemount plate, and LED signals!
Props for a motorcycle video with engine sounds instead of what some douchenozzle thinks is cool music. I'm hunting a used Hammer, and since I like letting other people eat depreciation I'm enjoying Victorys un-naturally low resale value. (Hint, buy them to RIDE them and the economics are unbeatable. I keep my machines for decades.)
I bought me one and this video was part of the inspiration to buy. It's my first bike and gets more addicting the more I drive in curves. I haven't been on any curves at your speed but that is a goal. Tail of the Dragon in the fall hopefully. I've done a ton of road course days in my muscle and sport cars, but now I am giving that a break and will hit a track with the hammer. Maybe add a 2nd rotor/disc up front in the future.
Lots of Great Dragon videos on YT. Ride With Norman Reedus did an episode through there. Never got the chance to go out when I had my Buell XB12Ss. Hoping to get there when I put a Hammer in my garage. Fatter seat is better for my broken tail bone. :D (freakin' ice on the stairs a decade ago)
No canyon carver but as this video shows, it can handle twisties just fine. Looks are a matter of opinion but there is no doubt that it is very reliable and the power, even totally stock is among the very best in its class. I've taken mine on +1K mile trips and will again. It is a very versatile bike, that gets lots of positive complements. If interested, go take a test ride.
The Hammer handles awesome when you put on a more rounded rear tire like the Metzeler ME880 XXL! I've got a 260mm on mine & it handles beautifully. I do sportbike track days with my Hammer & have uploaded a few vidz!
Love that Victory Hammer! I did notice that the Japanese sounding motorcycle rolling the video, sure did keep up rather easily! The Hammer is fine the way it is, and I'm not trying to compare the two bikes! But if you took a trip to the next city or state on the streets and open highway, I know from experience, the hammer would be most rider friendly, and comfortable to ride, with more eyes-upon you!)
It's a 250mm on the back, not 240. You are thinking of the Harley Rocker I think it is called. At 90hp the Hammer has all of the power you need. She will have no trouble moving you at 6'1" - 280lbs. I am 6'0" - 200lbs and when I get on it I have to grip the bars tight. With the fat rear tire you pay a price in the corners, but once you get used to her she handles fine and you can pick the crotch rockets off in the straights. ;) Bullet proof muscle bike, and I highly recommend it. One thing I do
This video gives me the biggest grin! Wonderful video! and I love the color of that bike. I'm still an undergrad student, but I'm going to be saving up over the course of the next 4-5 years for a Victory 8-Ball (assuming they'd be still available and all)
hay buddy the boulevard has scraping pegs. i have a hammer and i scraped my pegs once going over a mound on a corner. as for the vegas 8 ball it's actually pretty awesome - goto the demo days "ride one and you'll own one"
Well , thre are no twisties where I live but there are a few good roads , but I think after a few test rides im going to save up some more and go for the Jackpot. Thanks guys!
Im considering the hammer what do you guys think about the bike loks awsome to me. Im 6'1 and about 280 how well do you think I would fit? Thanks and nice ride!
I think that is a killer looking bike especially with the right bars, pipes, side mount plate, and led lights. I think that is what I want to get in the future. I was trying to tell in this video if you were touching or grinding your pegs on any of those tight twisties? Is that a problem on this bike? What do you think of the Vegas 8-Ball with the thinner tires? Thanks, great ride.
Ride it dirt track style, hang opposite to where you are corning and let the rear wheel do the trick, you'll be amazed how quicker around corners you will be, it helps if you look at your vid and the position of your back in the corners, you look all messed up but your not. Grt8 vid BTW and grt8 bike, do more cheers
I've taken several long trip and the Hammer works well. However, I've changed the seat to a Corbin product. I you are under 190 lbs the OEM seat may work. It's not terrible but not great.

Do you still have this bike?

Thanks for the tip! I've watched the video. Looks really interesting. Will surely look into it. Cheers!
+clsanders What's that tire like in the rain?
+Dave Owens No idea.
Love that Victory Hammer!

Poor guy on the Jixer has to wait for you! ....Naaaah...Just Kidding! You have a nice looking Hammer! Nuclear Sunset is one of my favorites!
kick ass riding video warms a heart while waiting for all this snow to melt.
Nice handling cruiser and sounds so much better than the bike with the camera.

Fuck, that settles it...I'm taking one for a test ride. Nice riding along with you guys !!

That tire is huge!!!. looks like a fun bike though.
Looks like you really have to fight with it to get through those corners. Is that because of the large rear tire?
hay buddy the boulevard has scraping pegs. i have a hammer and i scraped my pegs once going over a mound on a corner. as for the vegas 8 ball it's actually pretty awesome - goto the demo days "ride one and you'll own one"
Awesome bike!!
But you know that sport bike filming could just leave the Victory for dead😂😂
For sure, the victorys do very good for what they are tho.
Victory is going out of business.
Hey guy.. Time for a Harley Breakout video on the same road!!!
Nice Driving.
Love mine...and they ARE BAD ASS!
Good hoon to watch. 🤘🤙
Well , thre are no twisties where I live but there are a few good roads , but I think after a few test rides im going to save up some more and go for the Jackpot. Thanks guys!

Scratching pipes at 1:14 nice bike, but my issue with cruisers is that, leaning angle :-(
That's the pegs scratching

1:15 foot peg drag
Nice nice nice !!
Have you tried the Hammer on long-term drives? What is the seat comfort like on longer rides?
I've taken several long trip and the Hammer works well. However, I've changed the seat to a Corbin product. I you are under 190 lbs the OEM seat may work. It's not terrible but not great.
:)
Woohoo jordan 🙏🏻👍🏻
What pipes are on the bike ?
Stage 1 X-bow exhaust from Victory.
***** No wonder he could lean at those angles without scraping the pipes. Great video by the way; at times it felt like a promo work.
Im planing to get the hammer over my harley sportster
It's hard to say, but I would like to change my Fat...
I don't see it
