      I can confirm that, when my country's postal service fxxxed up my delivery making it disappear for good Crossrope Customer Service was resending the order and by chance meanhwile the 3/4lbs ropes (1st gen) were available, so I added two of them to my original order :D Great Product, great Service. Worth the price for sure, although I would not mind having an European Distributor as Customs and Parcel Service (never ever postal service again..) from US are a significant cost factor in additon to the ropes themselves.

    Both JRD and Crossrope videos have been an inspiration to me! I'm 57 years old and in my younger days ran 6+ miles/day, the wear and tear on my knees have caught up with me and have found learning to jump rope a new challenge. I am getting better and have come a long way from when I first started. I love all your videos and would love to see more videos geared to an older population (I'm not a senior yet, but yet feel some of the torch/burn workouts more suited to the younger folks!) I recently bought the the get lean Crossrope system. I started with the 1/2 lb rope and am still working with that one before I make the switch to the 1/4 lb. Keep up the great work!

    I remember a year ago when I said I want to jump for 10 minutes straight. It took a long time but I finally hit 8 minutes today whooo! My toes were on fire by then but it was so worth it. I may need new shoes soon. Thanks for the motivation guys! Also, I only have the regular 1/4 lb rope for now and I'm thinking of getting the 'get lean' set next year as a spare so I can use my current one for outdoor. How long have you guys had your crossropes? and when do you start seeing wear and tear on them?

    I have metal rods in both of my femurs and have had a knee replacement in both knees. I'm only 23 and 250lbs. The rope I started off with was crap, I could only do about 10 hops in a row and even that wasn't consistent. And it wasn't my lack of ability, it was the quality of the rope. I JUST got the get lean ropes and I can go for much longer right out of the box. I am a BROKE college student, every dollar I spend matters. This was a good investment. I've lost weight multiple times, and gained it back, usually 60lbs on 60lbs off. Jumping rope feels more sustainable to me, its an exercise my legs can handle SHOCKINGLY and I can just pick it up and go whenever, rather than having to plan a workout. I really hope to be another transformation story.

      Yeah it is a rip!

    • @JumpRopeDudes
      @JumpRopeDudes  6 років тому +4

      capio78 - dalturbo - this is real challenge. The cost of the components/assembly remains the same no matter where it's sold.
      Even with a European distributor the consumer is ultimately going to absorb shipping/origin costs.
      and last, we CAN'T control local tariff and import duties (though we wish we could). Crossrope is always looking at this and when the opportunity exists, they'll be on it!

    • @capio78
      @capio78 6 років тому +3

      Jump Rope Dudes I understand it but leaving the import to a consumer doesn’t work. Presumably it isn’t made in USA so you send a few pallets directly into uk your distributor deals with the duty and you have quick delivery across Europe and a better sales channel. I could organise that in a week, I do it everyday with products of far higher value. I can’t imagine there are a lot of jump ropes being produced within the EU so I assume the Tariffs are reasonable.

    • @CraftingDaDiamond
      @CraftingDaDiamond 6 років тому +1

      True, I think if you went through that challenge, you would have a much better income even though the price is reduced, since more people would be able to buy it

      Ireland has lower corporation tax. Set a business and assemble it here. Wouldn't get profit for the first few years but a long way your market will grow in Europe. If you dont spend and take risk the business wouldn't expand.

It’s tough since my cancer was base of tongue. 60% was removed so now I have to use feeding tube. I’m skinny fat now though trying to gain weight using weight gainers, so gotta get rid of my belly fat. I will practice with the cheaper rope and wait until I can afford to get one of yours. I love quality and your rope looks like the Porsche of jump ropes.

    Really thoughtful and interesting interview; like so many others, I got hooked into Crossrope as I was looking for some viable fitness options once the pandemic hit in March and was bombarded by their ads while on UA-cam. These ads were compelling and I decided to give this product a try, which I am so thankful for. Watching this interview, it's pretty clear that the popularity of jump roping discussed here has come into fruition, something discussed here a couple of years ago. Obviously it's sad that today's tragic situation has propelled the jump rope movement out of necessity, but it has. My daily morning jump rope sessions have afforded me the mental and physical relief so needed these days. I love how you guys talk about the emphasis on product quality and how/why jumping rope makes sense for so many reasons. Like all the other JRD videos, this one is a winner.

    I actually didn’t think I’d ever get the Crossrope just because of the price. But after thinking about it, I went through 2 inexpensive speed ropes in under a month. I had one for $17 from another UA-cam channel but it failed after catching on my foot one too many times and popped the bearing out and they didn’t answer any of my 5 emails. I then went on Amazon and found another for about $10 that looked similar but seemed like it was an upgraded design which also failed the same way. Realizing I’d have to keep ordering rope after rope driving the price way up over time or order ropes that are more traditional but don’t spin as well I tried crossrope and it really is a world of difference in quality and now I understand what they say about feeling the feedback from the rope!

    I wouldn't be jump roping right now without it. I was discouraged at all the lack of quality ropes out there that I have bought and have failed me. Also, having a good weighted rope allows us to get a good workout in less time.
    My real desire is to have a gen 2 rope (white/green handles)... but darnit if my gen 1 rope (black handles) isn't lasting forever. Two years and barely any damage. Yes, I jump on a mat, but I hit brick, which is very abrasive, a lot too. Impressive quality, and easy to do any and all tricks with. I've bought a lot of ropes, but this was well worth the money.
    Oh, and I had a defect with my first handles... the owner took care of it immediately. Very impressed with the ownership of their product.

    I'm from the Philippines and my sister gave me crossrope jumpropes as a gift last Christmas when she went in the US. I started jumping ropes 76 days ago and has been able to do a few challenges in the app. I was looking to get a longer rope, so I bought like 6 other ropes that are cheaper and available here in our country, but still come back to using my crossrope. The feel of it while jumping is really different then other ropes. I love it.
    I hope they become available here locally. Shipping rates are pretty steep. I want to get the Get Fit bundle.
    Edit: Can you make a rope extender? like if I have a small-sized crossrope and my bro is taller and he needs a large-sized rope, just clip in the rope extender on the small ones then it becomes longer, my bro can start using it. instead of buying another set..

    • @JumpRopeDudes
      @JumpRopeDudes  4 роки тому +1

      That's a great idea you have there! Currently Crossrope doesn't have that option BUT what you can do is purchase the longer ropes and tie a knot in the rope to adjust it shorter while you use it -- then take the knot out for when your brother takes it for a spin. Hope this helps! Keep doing the thing!

    Crossrope has been a game changer for me, ever since I bought it. Far better than the PVC rope or hard bead rope. More durable (as long as you take care of it and jump in the right places!). I have nothing but respect for Crossrope. Bought the full, next gen set. Feels great, a well deserved upgrade. Guys, get it! No excuses! Can I use my old CR ropes (that came with hooks) with Infinity handles? I don't think so. Yes, CR is expensive (which is ok, given quality), but I just think they should take care of version upgrades with older customers in mind. If I buy Infnity handles, I'd have to buy new ropes as well as my older ropes won't work with them.
