Problem isn't Lauri, it's the rest of the Warriors team. Draymond is on track to get himself arrested, and Steph is starting to fall off. Kerr has no clue how to develop young players, and it's probably time for a new coach. Warriors don't really want PG or Lauri, or they could have done it. But they know moves like that won't make them contenders at this point.
Im happy that we keep Podz and JK.. They arent better at this point, but these guys are fun af. And we had to give many 1st rounder and pick swaps away, just to have slightly better chances to have a deep playoff run. And then after next season Lauri wants his max deal... All in all it wouldnt make us true contenders
Also with Lauri being such a good shooter, him being "out of his prime" he'll still be super valuable, imagine him getting catch and shoot opportunities from players like jokic or doncic
Jazz has plenty of young prospects, the Jazz will still be in the lottery, if one of the youngsters blossoms this year, then we have lots to trade for another star. We'll see how the season goes, GO JAZZ!
As a Jazz fan, I never wanted to trade Lauri, but if some team were gonna sell the farm to get him, then it could work. I'm glad we kept him. People don't understand that star level talent doesn't want to come to Utah. I think all the trade rumors were other teams and fans trying to will something into existence, because Lauri is the kind of player that makes any team better. He isn't like Brandon Ingram or Zach Lavine, who there is no market for. He can play next to Steph and Draymond, or next to Wemby. But you have to make it worth our while. I hear that the Warriors were the closest, and they lowballed. I don't know if they are serious, since they always hold back in every trade, not wanting to give up value to get value, whether it be PG or Lauri. I think Utah can tank with Lauri, but I think the Tank shouldn't last much longer. Depending on who they get, 1-2 more years max. I hear this next draft is really good, and some say 2026 is also really good. But I think they need to start trying, for the sake of their player's development. Utah has a ton of picks and young guys, so they can make some consolidation trades when they are ready to turn it on.
Really glad you enjoy it man! Not going anywhere, well aside from on holidays in a few weeks lol but aim is to upload 5-6 vids a week for the next season!
Lauri wanted to stay in Utah. And they obviously still wanted him too. Their two young guards in Collier and George can duke it out for guard assignments and then Cody at the 3, Lauri at the 4, and hopefully Kessler at the 5 if he goes back on the up.
I can't wait too see how good Lauri will be this season. Year ago summer he was in Finnish army wich isn't actually best summer training for basket ball player. This summer he has been able to train on his own terms and I'm eagar to see him play again.
The local Utah sports radio thinks that the team is in a horrible situation because they are not fully tanking. Many outsiders think that Utah is doing a good job on the rebuild, but locally it’s the opposite.
I’m from Utah and I’ve been unsure what the Jazz are thinking, either get picks for Lauri or start the team up but I like what this video was talking about. This is the beginning of trying, they’re just not going out trying to get stars at least not yet
I still think, being a huge fan of the Jazz, that they purposely tanked last season without making it obvious and are making it so that they can win later, and I think they are doing great on the rebuild.
@@Crazyheadcjyeah I mean they can be like Shai and okc. Everyone thought shai would want out but he stuck with the team. Now Lauri is a lot older. But Utah might be able to tank for one or two more years and have something speciao
There is a portion of local media who are “demanding” Utah choose a lane. But the majority of the respectable media that covers the Jazz is on board with what the Jazz are doing. Utah has 5 first draft picks from the last two years on the roster (all 20 or less). Tony Jones and David Locke have both reported Utahs commitment to play those guys heavy minutes this year heavily implying that Clarkson and Collins will be benched if not traded. Lauri and sexton can’t carry that amount of inexperience and youth to over 25 wins. Combine that with resting Lauri and sexton…. Utah will be well positioned for a top 5 pick. This is a masterclass rebuild.
@malaw514 a masterclass rebuild? Quit dick riding. A masterclass rebuild would imply that they win anything meaningful in the future. Which there are no signs that they'll do that. You can't just rebuild your way to a championship as much as some naive jazz fans think you can. And that's coming from me...a jazz fan.
One stat also tells a good story about his versatility: The first player in NBA history with 200+ threes and 100+ dunks in a single season. And yeah, still room to improve with e.g. passing and defending. Also his physique coach said Lauri has not reached his top fit yet.
We Finns aren't usually the biggest glory hogs. Take Mikko Rantanen of Colorado Avalanche for example; He could be the top guy in almost any other NHL team but he's good with being MacKinnons "Pippen".
Dream Scenario (Fever dream of course): the lillard experiment explodes, giannis demands a trade, utah throws 5 1rst round picks, two expiring (Clarckson, Collins) and Taylor Hendricks for Giannis.
Should the Warriors have attached Podz to their package for Lauri? Feels like Steph is going to have to backpack this team just for them to be a play off contender but via the play-in😢
If Kerr really believes in JF, he would have been the 2nd scoring option for the GSW, so I do not see how he suddenly will be the scoring option right behind Curry now, it is just not happening! Podz will not be even as good as Poole!
He's not worth that deal but I suppose Utah have to pay someone. He's great and very versatile but any team would be stupid to give up the sorts of assets Ainge was looking for. He's been pretty injury prone most his career. Great as a 2nd or third option on say half to two thirds of that deal. NBA deals in general are getting out of hand tbh everyone is getting crazy money that is hamstring teambuilding.
GSW fans still pining for that two-timeline PR job not acknowledging that it had already blew with that punch thrown by Draymond to Poole. Just admit it that the gig is already up and trade Steph and all your vets.
Every single being who says that Lauri is old at 27 in basketball is a idiot. Most if not all NBA superstars played their best years from 26-30 years age. So Lauri is going to dominate for the next 3 years.
Just yesturday someone said in other video comment that they overpaid him and he is not worth more than 28-35M. So, according to you he is an idiot. I agree on that.
Utah will manage as they always done. Also a good thing Russell Westbrook got passed twice because of victim mentality and thinking Utah is a place of racism. That’s not the case but it is a bad take and that others make it worse than it really is. Drama but you know what? Things change. Good luck Utah Jazz!
Finland also has a long history of other progressive examples. Just to name few, a first female President. Women rights to voting. Homosexual marriage in church and the priest blessing on holy marriage. Lauri was also accepted from young age to be himself and not judged on his sexual preferences 😇🙏
I 100% disagree. They are not going to get a better offer for Lauri in the future, this offer would have secured them 2 top 15 picks in the draft (I don't believe in GS even with Lauri due to Steph's decline), and most importantly they missed on the chance to tank tank tank. Which is what you should do when one of the best draft classes ever comes up
"And he'll use those inches to make you pay". Ayooo lol
*Sad Warrior noises*
I wanted to see him with steph aswell :(
Sorry bro, we ain't sad well at least not all. We would rather keep Podz than to trade him
if warriors fans think Lauri wouldve moved them into the WCF, they’re coping with the loss of Klay and no PG
Problem isn't Lauri, it's the rest of the Warriors team. Draymond is on track to get himself arrested, and Steph is starting to fall off. Kerr has no clue how to develop young players, and it's probably time for a new coach.

Never in history of the NBA have we seen a player that is big, athletic, and can shoot 3s with that accuracy. Dude is truly a talent marvel.
As always, appreciate the Utah love
Man was patiently waiting for this after the news broke. Glad to see Lauri staying in Utah. Now time to look up flights and hotels in there...
Haha I remember your comment from the other day man, hope you get to see him play next year! that would be sick
@@6manYTI like how you interact with your fans. You can even remember us… crazy

I don't understand, athletes only decline after age 30...
@zhongtiger6575 that's what I'm saying, if he's still the shooter he is today he'll be super valuable as a play finisher to stars in his generation.
Good job Danny, Lauri is the only super star that wants to play in Utah, I hope we can get him a couple helpers and we're on business 👍
Jazz has plenty of young prospects, the Jazz will still be in the lottery, if one of the youngsters blossoms this year, then we have lots to trade for another star. We'll see how the season goes, GO JAZZ!
Stupid, why trade young just to get a old star. Keep the young the coaches need to help blossom the younger players. Stop trading pieces for fossils
💯 agree 🙌🏼 he’s not the type of player you get rid of! Especially when he wants to play in UT.
As a Jazz fan, I never wanted to trade Lauri, but if some team were gonna sell the farm to get him, then it could work. I'm glad we kept him. People don't understand that star level talent doesn't want to come to Utah.

if he doesnt get injured he might be an all star i think

If Utah had traded him, it would have been their biggest mistake.
Lauri 🔥
Utah born and raised. Lauri is my favorite player we’ve ever had, and has so much more to unlock in his game. Cannot wait to see him in 2 years 🤌🏻
bro ive been looking for someone who actually gives lauri the credit. thanks bro
Lauri wanted to stay in Utah. And they obviously still wanted him too. Their two young guards in Collier and George can duke it out for guard assignments and then Cody at the 3, Lauri at the 4, and hopefully Kessler at the 5 if he goes back on the up.
Let’s go Jazz!! 🎶
Id love Lauri to shut all the haters down and have an mvp season this year. He is the most important player in his team.
Im really excited to see how the jazz perform this coming this year
they’ve literally been tanking they’re not planning on stopping now i’m pretty sure
@@rickysoup I'm jus talking about the rookies and what not. Like seeing how they mesh and perform with the rest of the team

Finally someone who understands this was a good decision
the jazz have the pieces to make the playoffs, they need to make it their goal
Ill never understand why the warriors rather keep podz than Lauri lol 😂
Im a Utah fan and im glad we still have him
They got 2 lob threats jazz need a good pg to facilitate..and then get some wing defend
Love your content. ❤
He has become a star
Chicago bulls are now regretting trading him
Lauri is a beast hope Utah is better to him then they did AK47
He is a beast indeed. But why watch a team that tries to loose as many games as possible season after season?
Those rebuilds are endless…
Warriors didn’t want to give up Brandin Podziemski at all costs they believe he’s the building corner stone going forward
Podz + many 1st rounder and swaps would be a high risk low reward move.. You cant give ur whole future away, just to be a very slightly contender

yeah the warriors kept low balling the jazz over and over. it’s really on them that they didn’t get him
Yea this team isn't going anywhere as currently constructed. That klay replacement ain't moving the needle forward at all
Just to think if he could play a good team , than starting in Chicago.
No brainer resigning him. He has so many years left to be good, loves being in Utah, but isn’t elite enough to keep us from tanking next year.
Good thing I watched this video. I was afraid I was an idiot.

no chance lauri puts up those numbers with a legit superstar next to him.. ainge is a genius at inflating the value of his players..
Wrong. U obviously haven’t watched him much. Jazz put a throttle on him last year. They will again this year to try to get top 5 lottery pick.
