I'm guessing that with the springs cranked up the shock was close to the end of it's travel. So on a bump you were hearing the piston hit the bottom of the shock tube. One other thing, If you find the reverse lockout annoying, take a 3/8" (1/2" wrench) nut and split the side of it with either a hack saw or a small cut off wheel. Then pull the reverse and brake lever and slip the nut over the reverse lockout cable between the lever and the cable mount. once you release it, the spring tension will hold it in place. This allows you to shift into reverse without messing with the brake/reverse lever. Obviously don' t go jamming it into reverse while still rolling forward. It's really nice when on the trail.
Hello Max. Oh geez this video went to a dark place quick! ROFL!!! I believe they're called spanner wrenches. I have one saved on my eBay, but still haven't bought one. A sledgehammer with a light clipped to it. Crafty like a fox. Glad this seems to solve your problem. Great video, and great camera work Max.
Yep shock travel is very important! Cranked all the way one way or the other can be bad! LOL I was one of the ones yelling at the screen "NOOO NOT THE CHANNEL LOCKS!!!"
@@ArizonaKid I don’t expect to see that for at lest a couple of weeks. I sent Honda Stickers to a Guy in Texas and it took 4 weeks for them to get there.
G'day mate. I didn't know it was that simple to adjust them. I seriously know nothing about this stuff and thought you'd be removing them or something. Be safe, Daz.
Great video! I loved the camera angle at the beginning! I need to get more creative with my camera skills lol also I saw your comment on my video but yt removed it so I couldn’t reply sorry 😢
I watched your video on adjusting the front shocks. I have a 2022 Honda Rancher. I added a winch immediately and I have turned the atv over twice now. It seems so unstable that I’m almost afraid to ride it. I was looking for a video to help make it more stable and I wondered if the shock adjustment has any affect on that or if I can go with after market rims and/or tires without harming the front end. Any ideas?
Ya , for sure. .can’t believe I forgot I adjusted them right after . Thank goodness he asked if I adjusted them . I’d prob have new set with video already LOL
@@ArizonaKid did you buy yours new or did you buy it used off someone cause if you got it new at the dealer If I were you I’d go talk to them And get one because where I’m too they come with the atv new but I’m not sure if they do in your area
@@scottmugford1123 got it new and two people got one right after me and they didn’t get either ? So we just are guessing in this area they don’t come with one . Just like we don’t get pull start anymore
@@ArizonaKid yea I guess that’s why where I live we still get the pull-start stock on the new Honda’s but I live in Canada and we have a lot of cold weather and it’s nice to have a back up way to start the bike in case the battery dies
