The people talking about the drive shaft vs a belt have no idea what they are talking about. The transmission is not drive shaft vs. belt. The transmission is a hydraulic torque converter type transmission from the Rincon. All of these machines have shaft drives coming out of the engines mating with gear differentials at the axles - even the belt driven ones. The belt transmissions in other brands are the same as what one finds in snowmobiles. Honda uses the hydro in the 700, and a dual clutch in the 1000 (and electric shift in the 520).

Would not have been able to do it with out you and your informative video AZ Kid! Thank a bunch! fore mine I had to drill a whole in the upper part of the middle new "tailgate" portion as the small hole was predrilled on one half but not predrilled on the other half in order to secure the two pieces together. Anyway, job is done and I'm happy. Wasn't as hard as the windshield or the roof (roof was real tough) so I banged it out in a few hours. This is another project I wish I had an extra set of hands with but in the end I was able to manage. Thanks again AZ Kid!

I think they just started making them cheaper as I just installed the same windshield on my new 2025 Pioneer 700-4 and did not come with the two horizontal metal bars you have on top and mid for stabilization. Might be why it was only $245. It's not so bad on top from what I can see so far but it sure does make it hard to close and open with just one hand as it's pretty flimsy. On that note my shocks are super strong. Probably too strong and that makes it near impossible to close with just one hand. Anyway, thanks for the silicone idea! That's on the list for tomorrow before I install the roof. Great video man! Update: I just found the exact same one you have with the stabilization bars and it's $335. I would have gladly paid the $90 extra but well... crap. My life story. lol

I totally agree with you. Solid points. I'm checking out the 700 as well. The speed thing is very realistic. When out on the trails in California out in Julian/Ocotillo/Borrego area. The fastest we ever went was 40mph for only a few feet before we were down to 20-25mph for 95% of the time anyways because you never know who is on the trails or even around a blind turn. Like you said, the price from the 700 vs 1000 is a cost savings. Im planning on the ful enclosed cab with hard doors and thats almost $4,000 to add that because I want a heater for Pennsylvania weather when needed is a big deal to me and that $4000 option for just the enclosed cab and cost savings to already a reliable 700 is worth it. Especially to me as I plan to buy and option it out with the 700 and comes out to $26,000 fully optioned out for what I want. I don't plan on buying one every year either. It's something I would run for a long time and that's something Polaris guys can't say or Can-Am. Even guys burn up the clutches on the Yamaha YXZ1000. Ask me how I know, I have a video on my UA-cam changing them out for my dad actually. I got him the upgrade clutches after he did that.
