One day I hope to join this convent and their youtube channel reminds me of the life I soon hope to live. I'm still only 12, but I knew I wanted to be a nun since I was 10.

Be grateful, for you are holy, and come closer to Him all the time, dont let a second go by that you are not in His presence and He will keep you close! Amen Amen and Amen
This was a beautiful film. It warms my heart knowing that when life has beaten me beyond recognition and hope seems lost that there are cloistered nuns all over the world praying for me. :)
At the end of the day, I say to each his own; I’m all for people doing what makes them happy. However….the idea of someone choosing to give up all of the many beautiful and amazing things life has to offer (and no, I’m not talking about sex), and spending the rest of their life essentially locked away as a prisoner is so unfathomable to me that I almost find it offensive. It almost feels like an affront to our humanity; a tragic waste of this precious thing called life. We only have one life to live. That’s it. Why choose to shun it completely? Of course, nuns themselves would greatly protest what I’m saying. They would insist that they have found the only source of true fulfillment. True happiness. They would probably say that the world is the prison, not the monastery. They would likely claim that their path is the only one of true freedom. But is that really true? Do they actually believe that, or have they been brainwashed? I think they WANT to believe that at least. But do you mean to tell me though that God is such a controlling and humorless egomaniac that he would actually command people to give up their only life and the people in it to spend it worshipping him literally 24/7 in a dreary and bleak monastery? For the rest of their lives? Only communicating with the outside world through a screen and NEVER leaving? I’ll tell you one thing-that’s not my God.
@@Heffalumpswoozles85I think you’re missing the point. They’ve chosen this path for themselves, not for you, not for anyone else. They love their faith and are devoted to it. Some people choose to waste their lives playing video games, working 9-5, indulging in gluttony to ease the sadness etc but their way of spending their time wisely is through worship. God has not asked anyone of any religion to pray to him 24/7. Some people just choose to as it makes them happy. Doesn’t apply to everyone, as everyone is different.
I teach Religion to 6th and 7th Grade at my parish school. Recently my students asked, "Do we still have nuns?". . . I told them yes, we do. . . I plan on showing them this video to really drive that message home. Thanks for uploading!!
When you are in love with your beloved and you would definitely give up everything to be alone with your beloved.... great expression! Thank you for sharing this video
My family has known the Discalced Carmelite nuns in San Diego since 1947 when my mom hesitantly rang the bells at the entrance and the “turn” a barrel like structure turned around and from inside Sister Amata said “Deo Gratias” (Thanks be to God ). From that time up to the present , my family has been privileged to have the prayers of the nuns and spiritual counsel at the monastery.
A huge AMEN to all those wonderful women who have answered the call to give their lives to pray for our Church. As someone who is fortunate to work alongside Dominican Sisters everyday, I am beyond grateful to have their work and our work backed by these prayers each day. Thank you!
God bless you all. You’re all in my prayers. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your prayers for the souls in this world. Peace always be with you all.
May God bless these heroic women who have dedicated their lives to praying for the world. They are living the life our Patron St Pio describes: "Never tire of praying, it is what is essential. Prayer shakes the Heart of God, it obtains necessary graces!" Thank you, dear Sisters! We will add you to our Worldwide Adoration Prayer team list
Every beating heart needs a rib cage to protect it. Likewise every sister needs an enclosure to protect her! Wow . Thank you for all those beating hearts that pray us through the day. Amen.
The thought of these wonderful women praying for all of us everyday brings warmth and hope to my heart. The world needs their prayers, and I am grateful for them.
Well that's a real Pick-Me-Up video... I always think about those that are praying for me here on earth. This is not only a beautiful charism, but a necessary one as well. Temptations abound, and the prayers of these beautiful women of God make a Real difference in our lives. I pray that more women (and men) will receive the Call from God to reshape our world through prayer, fasting , and penance. PAX. Jim

Thank you for faithfully representing our Catholic faith by dressing the part as an outward sign to the world. Even people of other faiths revere what you represent and how you demonstrate it in your dress. Thank you for making us proud to be Catholic
I visited your monastery with my mom when I was quite young! I always wondered what went on beyond those cloister walls! (I used to live in West Bloomfield.) Thank you for this video.
I have been viewing the documentary featured by the cloister nuns. It's highly inspiring. In an affluent society like America, it's amazing that there are Nuns like Cloistered who are spending their time in prayer and fasting. I listened the interviews given by some of the nuns. One among you seems to me from my country's origin Convey my great appreciation to The Rev. Fr who gave short narrations at intervals apart from the whole time narrator Above all the inside of the Chapel is extraordinarily beautiful which pronounces the gracious presence of Lord Jesus Christ😅😢😢

Hm, I never sensed that at all. What is wrong with a man acknowledging and supporting what the religious women are doing? There is room for all at the foot of the cross.

Protestants pastors are married and yet they're also rapists and biological parents also rape their own children, don't they? Millions of women and children are raped around the world.
