I keep coming back to this video. The sisters radiate peace and love. When I’m feeling stressed or anxious watching this video makes me feel so much more at peace. God bless them.
God bless our Catholics Nun's, I love the Nun's and I love the Lebanese Monks and I have 3 sisters Nun's in Melbourne they are Lebanese they are my sisters in Christ as we are all . And I love everything you do towards humanity bless you all Habibi your brother in Christ Michael 🙏 🙏🙏
As a Carmelite named Sr Gemma, I found this very inspiring. I have a great devotion to the Passion. I think Passionists and Carmelites share a similar charism. God bless and reward you dear Sisters!
Sister Gemma I think Carmelite Nuns are wonderful, mainly because they take such good care of the Elderly. When I was very young I wanted to be a Nun. little Sisters of the poor was the order I had chosen. Unfortunately I wasn't given the chance to live in the Mother House in France. I didn't think my parents could afford to pay for my education. I've no regrets. I still live the little Sisters of the poor. I know just how special they are. My mother In law lives not far from an Assisted living home that is run by Carmelite Nuns. I pass it alot and I wish I could volunteer there, just to be around the Sisters.
It can be wide and easy in the cloister if you don’t continuously die to your own will. Just was it can be wide and easy out in the world if you don’t deny your passions and follow Christ. I have met many lay people who I know have more virtue than I because I have everything at my disposal to be a saint and they have to work doubly hard. It all depends on how you live your life. In here it’s easier in a way because we don’t have to worry about bills, a roof over our heads, enough food etc. while all of you have to do that. And I commend you for it because following Christ and doing that is beyond my capability. Which is why God called me to the cloister. We have a saying in Carmel that God calls the weakest ones to Himself because we wouldn’t have made it otherwise. I’d have re watch the video to see what context Sister uses that phrase but I’m quite sure she didn’t intend to say life in the cloister is hard and life outside is easy. Life has its crosses wherever guy are.
We do have branches of Carmelites that take care of the elderly. In the United States we have the Carmelites of the Divine Heart of Jesus and the Carmelites of the Sacred Heart in California. I belong to the cloistered group of Carmelite founded by Teresa of Avila. The same Order St Therese of the Child Jesus lived in. I’ll keep you in my prayers….which is our main apostolate.
I think most people feel a connection and awe in seeing such devotion. Living it is a different matter and it takes a special soul. God bless all of you!

😁❤️🌍 The whole world belongs to God. He created the cosmos and this world and loaned it to us temporarily_ so if we belong to Christ Jesus - wherever we may be God is there with us. And He has promised that He will never leave us, nor will He forsake us. And so we are to partake of the bread which proceeds from the mouth of God daily from His Word the Holy Bible, and we are to continue in communion with Christ until He returns. and Christ has also given us the "Great Commission" to go out and to preach to All creatures. 📖🍞
Unfortunately we do not have any Passionist Nuns in Africa. Please pray for our growth so that someday we can make a foundation on that continent! Regarding visits home, no, because of our vow of enclosure we do not normally leave the monastery to visit parents (or anyone else). Normally our family comes to visit us at our monastery.
I think that if God is calling you even if you are in 60 or 100 years old the nuns should accept you for who you are I know that their is not a lot of young people willing to give their life to God so you should accept them for what God is calling you open your eyes heart to them accept them for opening their hearts to entering their life to serve God don't destroy them because of their age but help them in any way you can what would God say to you if you were coming in later would you deny him because of his age think about this!!
I think it's like the military with a cut off in the 30s because they don't want the increased risk of health problems. However, I bet there would be an age waiver if you had a lot of money to donate.
Where to find him.... how?, How you learn and why?, Why you need learn and how?, How we learn and Why?. Find him how you learn why?, Why need to learn to know him how?, How you read and trust him and why?, Why we need him?to find him how?.
So, if a nun has previously gotten a bachelors and/or a master's degree and they have student loans, how is that handled? Do they have to pay them off before going into the monastery or abbey? I guess this goes for any debt.
St. Gemma Galgganni pray and intercede for me to the Blessed Virgin Mary to Her sorrowful and immaculate hEaRt and to the Sacred hEaRt 💘of Jesus to His passion and death Have pity on me 🙏
They are committing a big sin and don't even know it you can serve god but this in gods eyes has always be wrong god never said to be a nun this is a creation of man not god serving god this way is a sin that's why no other religions adopt this because in eyes of the god its evil
Paul says it is better to be unmarried and celibate as he was…..but enter into marriage if you need too. God provides different callings of devotion to all his children.. Also the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man(any of Gods children) availth much….so if a love for God moves you to pray unceasingly in praise and honor to God then let it be so. Judge not lest thou be judged. God sees the thoughts and intent of the heart. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
