Can you turn off the external beep when you reverse or is that a safety feature for EV vehicles? I have my EV 6 on order so thanks for all your videos, it certainly is giving me a head-start as to all the features before I actually get the car.
The car is not seeing the lines of a parking space. It simple uses the sensors to place it self in between two objects. So part 1 in your request is not possible.
@@evodessey Along with the auto park, it'd be nice to see you do this using the remote. Promo videos from Hyundai / Kai are kinda vague, and your parking against a kerb + fence got me thinking on how it can cope.... when you're brave enough to try. 😱
I know some people have said the back window can get dirty and hard to see out of. Can you turn on the rear camera while driving? I think you can, just not sure how. Hoping to get mine later this year. Thanks for the videos! They're great.
Yes, you can turn it on using the dedicated camera button on the central console. But if the back window is dirty, there is 100% chance that the camera lens is dirtier. Still, small chance to have that window dirty, the design solved that issue, non need for a rear wiper. Saw pictures with cars very dirty in the back, but the window was still clean.
The Ioniq 5 is far worse as it sucks dirt up from below. The EV6 LED strip seems to prevent this so only the lower part of the car is dirty (that is where the camera is located). Give the back window a coating (like rain-x) to help water running off. Visiblity is not super great in the EV6 as driver to any sides is my experience so far
Just back from a largely Motorway drive to Stratford upon Avon and back and it’s quite filthy along with the rest of the car.Rear camera view is clear though.
Surround View Camera in Kia EV6 GT Line, I have found this unreliable when judging the distance of my vehicle from say a parking line in FRONT of me. The surround camera view suggests I am on a line in front of me when you are in fact 30-40cm away from the line. Wondering what your experiences have been?
I don’t rely on the lines. I have nudged a few objects without damage & then there was an incident last April when i caught the front spoiler on a driveway wall.
Maybe an odly specific question but I'm sure you can help me out, could you give me the measurement of the upper edge of the 'EV6' logo on the back of the car? 😂
Great help. If you can now advise on the welcome lights which I cannot seem to get out of my gtlines

Safety feature. Disabling is not possible.
Safety feature but not just EVs told it is down to the weight of the vehicle whether a reverse beep is needed. Coincidently most EVs are heavy.
Great vid. Please do one where the car does the parking automatically. Part 1 in a slot with no cars nearby. Part 2 inbetween two cars.

@@MartinNyholmJelle You are right of course. Must remember to think before typing.
I’m planning to when i get some time & weather & when i’ve figured it out😂

Good video. Do you know if you can increase the volume on the sat nav? I tried using the volume control but to-no affect. Very hard to hear it.
Try using the volume control when the sat nav is speaking. That is usually the trick in many cars
@@MartinNyholmJelle thanks but that’s what I tried many times but it hasn’t worked for me.
pretty sure you can do it by pressing the speaker and sliding it down. Will have to check.
It’s ok now. Couldn’t turn it up whilst driving yesterday but just did it now while parked at home and it worked. Thx
Does it record while driving and when is parked like the Tesla sentry mode
Only the Korean version of the car has that option at the moment.
The camera can be activated by pressing the dedicated button on the central console, you don't need to put the car in reverse.
Cheers,will try that.
Does the cameras record video like the Tesla so that if you get in to a accident you can send video to police or insurance?
It's possible but is only offered as an option in Korea
I'm wondering whether there is a sentry mode equivalent, given the number of cameras on this car?
There's a south korean ev6 features video somewhere on UA-cam that shows this feature. Don't think it's on uk spec cars though
Only in Korea at the moment.Would have been a nice thing to have.
Great stuff. Many thanks. …….

The videos are getting better... what's next?
Maybe self parking when i get the time & the weather
Look how wide the car is in those parking bays. I will be worried about parking in a public car park when I get mine
Neat

Lol😂😂😂
