In 5 days, this will be me. Ugh... I can't wait. After watching videos of the HUD, though, I'm just not sold on the AR functionality. I think I will probably keep it in normal HUD mode most of the time to have the speed and blind spot monitoring more emphasized.
9:35 I think the system primarily relies on map data for the speed limits. Reading speed limit signs with the camera comes as a secondary when there's no map data about the speed limit. Unless that sign bridge structure at 9:22 with the (/) slash signs means something in the UK. It could have just defaulted to 50 MPH speed limit after seeing that.
Good morning, I'm a big fan of yours, I love videos about the ev6, but I have a doubt at 3.24 m I see cars on the screen, it's configurable to put the ghost cars. I don't see it, thanks Paulo
Cheers.I think the ghost car thing could be dependent on HDA being on the trim level for the car. Also you have to be on a Motorway to see all the ghost cars i think.I will have a look in the settings on mine when i’m next out and get back to you.
@ EV Odessey. Once again, great video. I'd like to see what driver info is stored for each driver. I understand the seat positioning is saved for each driver, but what other information is separately saved? E.g; User Preferences: Radio settings car temperature, colour lumination etc.
If you set a route in Google maps it stops the route on Kia Nav & Vice Versa. You can still play music from your phone though as it pops up in a window on the right and in the binnacle when the track changes.
How does the Lane Assist work for you? For me when I use it on the highway with speeds of 100km/h and up, my car keeps steering left to right just a tiny bit. It stays in between the lanes but it makes you feel nauseous. Do you have this issue?
Not had the issue. On normal roads it gets confused about white lines sometimes and i get the beeping and orange arrows on the HUD but that is always on the same bit of road.
There's two lane related assists, one which is LKA (lane keeping assistant), other being LFA (lane following assistant). Assuming you refer to the LFA, it does some micro steering occasionally and others seem to dislike it and notice it - I haven't... If only the LKA is activated I think it might be quite a ping pong match...
A suggestion for a video could be a more in-depth look at the satnav. Can you navigate to an address or a point of interest with voice? Can you navigate to a contact on your phone? I'd be interested too see something like this.
There is a setting you have to turn on.To see cars in other lanes you have to toggle menu button on steering wheel (toggles between trip meter, tyre pressure, turn by turn) then if in HDA mode is on then vehicle map also appears.Intelligent speed change only works on Motorways with HDA.
This is a feature of the HDA2. You don't have it like that if you have HDA, it will just show the car in the front and the warnings for the blind spots.
Hi Brian
Just took a trip to Scotland
Used the full HDA and the NAV that I updated before we went
Thanks for this video, it was great
Cheers James. How was your efficiency?
@@evodessey Hi Brian
It was between 3.5 and 4.4
@@jamesdutty6480 Not bad.Do you have heat pump?
@@evodessey Yes I do have a Heat Pump
Thanks for this… just the video I’ve been waiting for. 👍
Awesome you were able to capture the HUD so well. Enjoyed the video thanks.
Great information. Many thanks to you. ………

Yes it does rely on map data but i did a follow video where i spotted that signs on slip roads to bridges can confuse the system.

Only settings i see are under Settings->Driver Assistance->Driving Convenience->HDA on/off,Lane Change Assist On/Off
Great video, thanks. What was the setting for the distance to the car in front ? Minimum ? Maximum ? Somewhere in between ?
It was set to Max
@@evodessey Perfect, thanks

Quite a lot is stored in the driver profile and a quite a few things can be set in the Kia Connect app remotely.I will have to do some testing.
HI Brian
I am driving up to Scotland on 7th May and will use the HDA2 HUD and Nav ect.
Just wondered how Android Auto Coolwalk would affect these

Already on my tondo list cheers.
I did not realise you could fix it to apply the speed limit Thought you had to manually fix speed Not seen the cars shown in other lanes either

What’s HDA2 ?
Presumably all the EV6s with adaptive cruise have the same system ?
Super, what does the spot on the front car mean?
That’s just to show it’s detected the car in front i think and also which car.
@@evodessey thank you,nice video 😉
