Wow wow wow! No one can beat that! Now is the right time for the foreigners to look for this kind of beautiful affordable condos with lots of green spaces and mountains outside superb, and the condo prices are just gonna continue to lower down due to condo crash because of the condo oversupply in the Philippines, and they are still building more condo buildings in the city. nowadays ,there are so many nice condos in manila vacated by chinese nationals ,after their employment were terminated by the phil govt .some of them are being leased at ~ $150 a month ,still no takers .there are thousand of units who are now vacant . i was told that this is now the time to purchase ,as price has dipped by 25% . i just saw a video of a European ,who bought a condo in Manila for a very great price and in prime location.
good job showing some affordable options. I've been to the Philippines 5 times now and it's amazing. the people are so friendly and the beautiful beaches are unreal. if you get the chance I highly recommend it.
You normally get what you pay for but in this case, you get less. A decent 3 bedroom house in a gated community can be rented for 30,000 in L2. Take about $1000 and do a little remodeling and updating would go a long way to make these condos look 100x better than their current condition. A good cleaning, a paint job, a little wood work, and replace the 32" TV.

How much are the electric bills in some of these condos? I heard they can be $165 U.S. if you run the A/C 24/7. How about the water bill? Water included in all or some or none of these condos? Do they all have back-up generators so if the power is off the generators will kick in? Thanks.
Electric bills depend on your usage.....the sky's the limit. Water is cheap, you'll want to buy drinking water as well.....also cheap. Places that have emergency generators may or may not fire them up as needed.....IF they're operational.
Britt, what kind of nest egg of funds do you recommend if retiring early in the Philippines. If your only mids 50's how do you generate revenue to live on?
Why would you want to spend your savings? Wouldn't it be smarter to have an income? Find something that you can do online or a job that would allow you to work remotely for Western wages. You'd be killing it anywhere in SE Asia.

philippine govt. should start considering building high-rise earthquake-proof buildings either for schools, govt. offices or residential tenements to house the 120 million population explosion. High-rise earthquake-proof buildings like what they do in Singapore, Russia, or China. Ph is only the size of Arizona, USA, and yet its last remaining forests are destroyed every day. save the forest from human encroachment that creates more land farms, quarry sites, luxury-ends subdivision houses for the rich, and golf courses; save the forests for the next 100 years, people. Or else the last 200 remaining Philippine eagles will soon disappear. and in the next 100 years, Filipinos will only see the majestic monkey-eating eagles through paper money, videos, and drawings, " love from 12 million overseas Filipino workers.
The quality is so low in the Philippines that bottom pier condos are considered the norm. High quality condos are average condos in other Asian countries. It's actually laughable.
Britt did title this video "Budget friendly . . . " The carved-in-stone concept that "you get what you pay for" applies in the Philippines too. If your budget restricts you to living in "bottom pier condos" [I assume you meant "tier"], then these units is what you should expect to find. In contrast if paying two to three times more rent won't bust your budget, you can live in a luxury condo in the Philippines, that was recently constructed to the highest international standards.
