I decided to come off it because I didn't like the effects it had on my period. I wasn't on it long enough to see any effects on the redness. The theory was it might reduce the remaining redness AFTER my demodectic rosacea was put into full remission. Ultimately, I just stuck to Metronidazole cream for another couple years. Now, 6 years after starting my rosacea treatment, my redness is VERY minimal and I haven't had a flare in years (I don't have demodex anymore though). So it ended up not being a big part of my treatment, but we gave it a shot anyway.

Dr. Dray since it works on blood vessels can we assume tranexamic acid could also improve rosacea (specifically redness/dilated vessels)? OMG you already answered, and I have steroid-induced rosacea from long-term use of the infamous Mario Badescu products containing undisclosed steroids... It's a good option since my skin is very sensitive and can't tolerate niacinamide and azelaic acid. Thank you, Dr. Dray! ❤
It’s said don’t try to fix that’s unbroken. Meaning if you’re skin is doing fine acne free or few acne stray away from all this. No need to experiment w strong acids unnecessarily as good as they are they also do some serious irreversible damage.
Your thoughts on Sunekos injectable? A UA-cam doc is been pushing a lot saying it’s the only anti-aging injectable that works. Saw his presentation seemed legit I was wondering about your thoughts ❤
Not to be a devils advocate, but per that patient case, can we assume she’d stopped applying the steroids as well? If so, how much credit can be given to the TA vs stopping the offending agent? Just something to consider before getting your hopes up.
Thank you once again! I have to look into it fuether. Andrea, have you heard of Niche Beauty Lab? They have started to get some traction here in EU and I'm curious to hear what you think of eapeciallt their theramid line (vitA, 3% copper peptide, vit c, etc) but also their "transparent" retinal cream.
which is better, tranexamic acid kojic acid or azelaic acid? I already have Paula's Choice azelaic and I want to stick with 1 product for now, but I don't know if others will yield better results...

Edit: later in life = 30’s in my case.
i've heard that oral tranexamic acid is great, but topical formulas might work less efficiently if at all because then the tranexamic acid is always positively charged and will have a harder time getting through the skin layers(??)

I have the inkey list tranexemic acid night serum and I love using it for dark spots after acne (I use it rarely as I see the results right away)
Dr Dray! You are the best! Should we use tinted sunscreen or just a clear sunscreen on the PIH area? Thank you 🩷
Your thoughts on Sunekos injectable? A UA-cam doc is been pushing a lot saying it’s the only anti-aging injectable that works. Saw his presentation seemed legit I was wondering about your thoughts ❤
Just started using Remedy For Dark Spots (Dr. Muneeb Shah) about a week ago.
Not to be a devils advocate, but per that patient case, can we assume she’d stopped applying the steroids as well? If so, how much credit can be given to the TA vs stopping the offending agent? Just something to consider before getting your hopes up.
Great informative video! TFS! Have a great weekend!❤️
happy friday
Thank you for such thorough information. 💖
Thank you for explaining this 🙏
Thanks, Dr.
Would using tranexamic acid skincare affect menstruation?
I’m going to give this a shot
Happy birthday 🎉 you are amazing 🤩
Thank you Dr. Dray! Perfect timing I was looking into the topic.
Thank you this is so helpful. Curious about sunscreens can we absorb vitamin D through our skin if we have applied to physical or chemical sunscreen?
Hello doc dray ❤😊 can we use this during pregnancy?
U should try fixderma tranexemic acid. It's an indian brand its beautiful
Please tell about Seborrheic keratoses
Can this be used with tretinoin 0.1%? I use it about 3x a week. Thx!
Hey Dr. Dray if you get a chance sometime hopefully you can address the issue of somebody who grew up in the sun and waited later in life to start caring for their skin properly 🙏🏼 I know alot of sun damage cannot be undone but do you have recommendations on products to try that can just overall help skin health in this case?
Edit: later in life = 30’s in my case.
i've heard that oral tranexamic acid is great, but topical formulas might work less efficiently if at all because then the tranexamic acid is always positively charged and will have a harder time getting through the skin layers(??)
Your thoughts on the risks with concurrent use of estradiol (Estrogel) & tranexamic acid? It's relevant to myself and I'm sure many other viewers. Thanks Dr. Dray!
👱🏻♀️♥️
BTW, I'm still using my John Plunketts Superfade Cream (Hydroquinone, Salicylic etc., but doesn't contain tranexamic); but have stopped using their other product the Depigment Accelerator Serum (which I remembered does contain tranexamic acid).
I'm in Australia, so it's OTC.

topical estrogen can cause hyperpigmentation, but can be used with topical txa
@@DrDrayzdayI will double check at a more sensible time (2:30am here), but I'm fairly sure that I read with the Estrogel's directions (I asked the pharmacist to print out for me) that it couldn't be used with TXA. I don't think it specified oral or topical though. I'll get back to you.
Hi Nada! Nice to see you. I hope you are doing well. Have a great weekend!! 💖
@@marylawman8603Yes, thanks Mary. All is well with me. Thanks for asking. I'm making the effort to prioritise & maintain my health, so that hopefully I can stay happy, look & feel healthy (without obsessing) at this particular stage of my life. Maybe even a career change? l hope you're keeping happy, healthy and also enjoying life.
