I don't hate it when you check up on games. I actually LIKE that you do that! There are plenty of games I have only bought after watching your second visit and seeing the changes and improvements.
His youtube metrics likely show him that his repeat coverage is less popular is I'm guessing is why he said that. But I don't personally even remember this game in previous coverage.

Splat, I love it when you update your coverage of lesser-known games, so long as there is real progress being made. I love Stoneshard as an idea, but the version I played was really half-baked, so this serves kinda like a PSA to let fans know "Hey! There has been progress!" I don't know what other commenters say, but just one man's opinion: keep doing what you are doing!
Updates for me show the games that are really worth playing. Many of these indie review channels review at the release of the demo/early access amd unless tue game really speaks to me, I dont know if they will be worth a buy at 1.0.
@@shadowmage661 price might be higher after this update since all the updates already in the game. Future content would raise the price tho. So if you like the idea of this game, buy it now.

@@grabeck666 Don't get me wrong, I liked what I played as well, but it was very obviously unfinished. Hence why I am still following its development with great anticipation.
revists are a major reason I subscribe to your channel. I cant keep up with upcoming games and where they are at and when they reach 1.0 is usually when I pull the trigger after seeing videos like yours Splat.
I hope to get my opinion before they get the 1.0 release...after that the games usualy get more expensive, so it's worth it to buy sooner rather than later xD.
For the record, I love when you give updates on games. Please don't stop doing it just because the videos are less popular - they are still very important.
Honestly, thanks for coming back to this one. I bought this years ago when it first dropped, and have steadily hoped they would get it up to a more playable state. It looks like they finally got there, and I wouldn't have known without this video.
I absolutely adore Stone Shard. So I'm happy to see you come back to cover it! And I'm also always happy to see you come back to any game that's in EA after it gets a major update to cover the changes and take another look at it. We're spoiled by the glut of great games in EA right now, and have been for a good while, so these videos of you returning to games is a valuable resource!

Hey Splat, I love when you update coverage on a good game. You're the expert. Also there is no guarantee I or anyone else happened to be watching when you first covered a game. Keep up the good work!
Holy shit this game looks incredible, thanks so much for keeping tabs with these promising projects! There's so many and it's hard to know when one is just going to break out into a full sprint. Stoneshard seems to have done that admirably.
Hey Splat, just wanted to say that I really appreciate when you update your coverage on games. You only do it when there's something worth covering, and it's much appreciated, at least by me. Thanks for all you do for the Indie gaming scene.
Great to see Stoneshard again (I kinda like that you revisit games that are still in development) it's because of you I started playing Ostranauts and got seriously hooked on it. I tinker with Elin and may have to give this one a look too 😊
I like when Splat gives games a little check-up. Helps us still on the fence or who have burnt out on a game a pair of fresh eyes, to see if a game is going in a good direction.
I like that you let us know when there are big updates for games you have covered in the past. I think you do a good job of balancing new content with updates.
I was super excited to see Stoneshard being covered again! And im going to be just as excited when you visit it again next year! The re visits are excellent. Sometimes i like them even more than new game videos because i love to see how much a game has grown. Please keep up with the re visits. We will be here to watch and enjoy them.
Great game. I saw a poll from one of the developers where they asked what players would prefer the devs to focus on for the next update and one of the options was a new enemy faction: Orcs.
I appreciate the returned-game-coverage especially after they have content updates. I've been cautiously excited for Stone Shared for years but leery of the slow updates fearing it would be abandoned. I'm so happy to see it finally get a seal of approval for the amount of content it now provides.
The caravan mechanics look especially interesting, but I can tell I'm too much of a casual for this game lol. Thanks for the video, I love it when you update games like this!
I love that you check up on games after they get updates. There are multiple games I've had on my wishlist for while now and have been keeping an eye on and then I see an update come out for this game or Quasimorph or something and hope that you end up covering the new update.
This is one of the games I think about often. I have hundreds of games wishlisted thanks to you but this one is in my top 3 most anticipated. Like a lot of people have said in its reviews so far, I feel it won't even be done in another 10 years.
I have loved this game since early access.... its great to see its still being worked on... i played it initially and put it down once i seen the road map posted. i wanna wait until its completely done to play... i think this game deserves all the love that you're giving it
I totally agree on the quality of this update. played a ton before and they essentialy covered all the gaps that were present in previous versions, especially the "empty world to walk around" sensation you get after you manage to exit the early game stage One thing you forgot to mention about stoneshard is that it comes with permadeath mode. trust me it gets waaay more exciting to play. atm i'm on a ranger lvl7 and before going ANYWHERE i double check for all contingencies. i even resorted to small game hunting and pelting in order to fund my caravan, way less dangerous than dungeon delving without proper gear
I like the yearly check ups on games. Revisits help in informing what kind of progress has been made and how likely a title is to climb out of the early access abyss and get to a 1.0
I bought Stoneshard after one of your earlier videos, not played it yet, but do like it when you come back around to play these games again, reminds me to actually play the game and get rehyped for it.

I like when you check up on games and update coverage, leads me to have new interest in games I’d already written off, like Voin. After your latest coverage I know the problems have been fixed, so I’m looking to pick it up soon.
Traps really are no joke in this game. Early on in my playthrough I stepped on a fire trap and it did about 1/4 of my health in damage turn one so I dumped all my water on myself which then caused me to get really thirsty because recovering health while resting massively accelerates hunger and thirst increase, which also caused me to run out of food because I had only brought two pieces of cheap bread. Then I died because I couldn't afford to rest to heal before combat.
I can't recommend Stoneshard enough. Game is beautiful. There is attention to detail in every aspect. Its hard, and yet every build is viable, highly customisable and different in meaningful way in terms of gameplay. And even besides build you have so many options of traps, throwables, consumables etc. Sure, updates are rare. There is no denying that. But every update makes so many changes that it often feels like new game. Not to mention that the one that just dropped was the biggest one BY FAR. It not only overhauled many already existing aspects of the game but also added few additional separate activities. Jesus, and I already have like 900h in this game.
