    this is a great guide, thank you for sharing. Following thos I have a horrible feeling I've sheered both of the t50 bolts accessed at the front of the bumper - if enough bolt is left inside, will this prevent the bumper coming forward to be removed? If so, any tricks to assist?

    • @TotalTechnik
      @TotalTechnik  5 років тому

      Yes, if the thread has not released then it will stop the bumping pulling forward and off unfortunately. The heads on those bolts is round as well - damn! Try getting a bolt remover tool like Irwin etc to grip the heads. Awkward as very little space - not a nice job!

    Is it possible to replace the bumbers of my a6 c5 avant 2002 3.0 to give him a rs6 look?

    • @TotalTechnik
      @TotalTechnik  3 роки тому

      Yes, they should be plug and play, it's quite a common cosmetic upgrade :-)

    Is there anything to look out for when replacing intercooler on the rs6 c5 . And replacing them with wagner

    • @TotalTechnik
      @TotalTechnik  6 років тому

      Hey there! No, if you are replacing them for new units you should be fine. Quite a straight forward operation really. Just use some common sense, check that the pipes are all clear no debris etc (they are air in the RS6, not coolant like in the S4 etc). So pretty straight-forward job to be fair.
      Best of luck with it!

    What kind of tools do I need to take off the from bumper of an 1999 Audi A6 Quattro

    • @TotalTechnik

      Hey there! The required tools and covered in the video as it progresses. Nothing too specialist required, all pretty standard stuff and a good little DIY job. Best of luck!

    Do you plan on doing videos on every aspect of RS6 Maintenance? I own one and love to start working on it myself. Thanks so much for doing these videos, cheers!

      Hey there! Thank you - much appreciated! It's something we would certainly like to do. However, because our content is very specialist (i.e. far from viral) we cannot earn decent (i.e. worthwhile) revenue from UA-cam Ads ($1 per 1,000 views average). Likewise, it seems (please prove us wrong anyone reading this!!!) that we cannot rely on the generosity of our viewers to support us as we have added donation info at the end of every video as well as a shout out at the start of the year and have so far received a grand total of three small donations in 6 months (but definite big up those 3 people, thank you!!!!), which is massively dissapointing, especially considering we have over 10,000 subscribers.
      We'd hoped that if we are able to save people money that they would be willing to pay it back a little. If people donated back to us just 5% of the cost of taking the same job to a garage (a 95% saving!!!!) then we'd be able to bring everyone all types of funky in-depth stuff, and all free too. But unfortunately these days everyone expects everything for free :-(
      We did start doing pay to view content on UA-cam for more in-depth content and that started well, but UA-cam closed that service in February 2018. We are currently working on our own website which should hopefully be live in the next few weeks, and that will allow us to host the more in-depth project and maintenance type video's.
      Our video's are aimed at saving people money, including the paid content!
      But absolutely, this is something that we would like to bring our viewers. But it's becoming clearer the more in-depth or specialist we go then it will simply have to be pay to view content.
      If we spend hours filming, editing and uploading something and only get 20,000 views that will be around $20, which is a loss for us as time is a valuable resource (I've not met many people who like working for free, lol!) So the reward has to be there just to justify creating the specvialist content.
      Maybe things will change a bit when we have 100,000 subscribers. We'll see ;-)
      Keep an eye open for our website coming soon: www.totaltechnik.com
      Thank you for your support!

    Please make a video on how to remove and replace the timing belt for an A6 C5. I am having a hard time removing the radiator.

    • @TotalTechnik
      @TotalTechnik  3 роки тому +1

      Hey there! We've done a lot more coverage for the C5 RS6 engine-wise than C5 A6. We do have a full front end (slam panel including radiator etc) available on our website: www.totaltechnik.com/video/339 - it is for the C5 RS6 but of course the basic process is the same on the standard A6 as well. Hope that helps!

      We REALLY appreciate your donation and support. We need more people such as yourself that see value in the content that we produce, and so THANK YOU!!!
      Total Technik could not exsit without the support of people such as yourself, so we really appreciate it!
      We don't have any video's currently lined up for the fan removal unfortunately. But we do still have plenty of A6/S6/RS6 C5 content still to come :-)

    • @TotalTechnik

      Hey there! We hope you are finding the video's useful and enjoyable :-)
      The RS6 intercoolers are not the easiest to fix TBH, but yes we may well do a video on this in the future. They are aluminium and so usually needed an aluminium weld to fix leak spots, but yes can be done.
      Loads more RS6 content to come. We're only getting warmed up :-)
      Enjoy!

      You may have a cable or hose snagging somewhere. Have a good look down begind the headlight, or up from underneath (if you are able!!!). Sounds like something is catching.

      Hey there! There is a delay on this as UA-cam ended their paid content service. This video will be appearing for purchase on our own website, which we are currently in the process of completing. So this particular video will still likely be a good couple of months before it makes an appearance. Sorry for the delay!!

      Ok, so have a feel around the bumper and flex it and get a feel for where is seems to be sticking the most. Did the outer corners pop out of the wing brackets ok?
