      Yes, I used the zigzag stitching and the fake overlocking presser foot for it

    beautiful dress! the pattern drafting process may as well be witchcraft though, I'm so lost haha, wondering if anyone with measurements similar to mine has successfully made this dress? I'm about a size up from jess, 32-28-35 (in) 81-71-89(cm)

    Hi Jess, I would really love to make this dress. Could you make a short segment what measurements I have to take from my body to make this dress to fit me?

    • @JessDangDIY
      @JessDangDIY  Рік тому +1

      You need to measure your body size which are bust, waist and hip size. Also need to measure the length from the shoulder to above the belly button which is the length of the bodice part. The length of the skirt part is the length from above the belly button to over the knee. The length of the sleeve is the length from the shoulder to above the elbow.

    Jess i drafted the pattern twice and followed the instructions but i noticed my front bodice shoulder does not match with the back bodice. The fromt is significantly bigger. I looked at yours when you placed them together and yours are the same.

    Hi Jess! A question. If I only make the top part, would it be enough for a shirt? Or will I have to change something else? Thank you very much for your tutorials!

    • @JessDangDIY
      @JessDangDIY  10 місяців тому

      If you want to make the top part only and turn it into a shirt, you need to adjust the darts a bit. Because the shirt is longer to your hip. So the width at the end of the top must be bigger than your hip size there

    Can you please explain what did you mean by “measure the total width of the sleeve Lines at the front and back bodice”? Does it mean I need to find the sum of the length of both lines?

    • @JessDangDIY
      @JessDangDIY  Рік тому

      Yes. At the pattern of the front and the back bodice, check the sleeve lines there and combine them together. Make sure you don't count the seam allowance
