All of her dresses that she designs are so gorgeous! I feel like the sleeveless version would look so lovely paired with a turtleneck and tights to be useful on colder days too!
I love how you explain your tutorials, you speed them up but not so fast it's obvious.Your choice of fabrics is always gorgeous and your new design is beautiful.I like the first one but that might be because I love the fabric.I also like the way you cut out the notches, leaving a point of fabric. This is the way I was taught and it means your not cutting into the seam allowance.
Wow, Janelle! You’ve done it again! I’m so excited about this pattern and as always, my little girl was excited to watch your new video, too. I love your thorough explanation and how your passion shows in every video you make. I’ve been wanting to make my sister a dress and the daisy dress happens to be her favorite style. Cannot wait to make it for her! By the way, there’s something I’d like to share with you. This past week we were at Joann’s (fabric store) and my daughter randomly told me you previously worked at a fabric store, but now you work full-time doing what you love. She says that when she is able to work, she wants to work at a fabric store to collect fabric, learn to design clothes, make patterns, and make videos to inspire others just like you inspire her. She’s only 10 1/2. We watch many sewers on this platform, but you, Janelle, are definitely our favorite ❤️ Have you ever considered starting a workshop online class for young aspiring sewists? Learn to design, pattern making, start online business/videos, etc. You would make a great teacher! I would definitely sign my daughter up. 😊 Sorry for the extra long message.
This was such a lovely comment to read! Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I’m so happy to hear your daughter is finding inspiration through my content 🥰 Workshops are a great idea! Thanks for the suggestion xx
Made this in a couple of days... honestly the most beautiful dress I have made so far! I made it out of a burnt orange and used Rosery Apparel's tie-up sleeve pattern to make the sleeves... so beautiful!! I have a smaller bust, so V-necks just don't really work on me, but because I made it I was able to bring the v up by 2-3 inches and now it's the perfect dress!!
Once again I am in LOVE with your fabric choices, that 1st dress's cool toned sage green (almost grey) with the textured floral print is 🔥!!!! Love love love!!
Just bought the digital version of the Daisy dress pattern. Absolutely love the name! Very excited to have a go! Thank you, as always, for a brilliant video. Deb x
All three dresses are gorgeous! I would love to make the first one (A) in an olive linen, the second one (B) in a printed cotton, and the third shorter one (C) in a lightweight denim which would be soooo cute for summer!

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! 💕 I’m off to buy this beautiful pattern now!!!! I love all the versions, and was thinking that the sleeveless version could be made as a pinafore dress too!!!! Love your vlog, and cant wait to see the next one!! 😃
Congratulations on the launch of the Daisy pattern! Well done! I wish I knew how to sew, I'd fill my summer closet with different versions of this dress (and others you have shared in the past, not gonna lie, I love them all). I personally wouldn't go for the sleeveless version because that style isn't the most flattering for my body type, but I'd play around with different sleeve options. The second one is a dream 😍

Absolutely beautiful and just in time to put on my Christmas wishlist. I would love a video at some point with ideas to hack these dresses for larger busts. I.e. how to adjust darts on the patterns or hack a larger size
Hi Janelle! I found a beautiful linen button-up dress (the whole length of the front) that I want to alter to be midi-length and have an elastic waist so it’s a little more bump-friendly. Do you have any recommendations for being able to keep the buttons but also have the elastic waist? Will that look funny? I was thinking I could always just keep the buttons on the bodice and make the skirt just a solid skirt. Thoughts? Thanks for any tips! ♥️
A lovely dress, I prefer the sleeveless version with the shorter length but that is just because I am personally not a fan of puffy sleeves. That said the sleeve versions a very lovely too.
I personally would always opt for sleeves, but I loved the sleeveless more than I thought I would! It’s going to be great for layering turtlenecks under in the winter too 😍
I have just purchased this pattern. I have a question, though... I would like to sew the sleeveless version, but with a heavy winter fabric (like wool-flanell). Should I rather do pleats instead of the skirt gathering? I am worried that the gathering would add too much of a bulk to the dress. Thank you!
@@Feoliveiran Yes, I did box pleating (used a wool blend). It gives a very conservative impression, and it looks quite heavy on me (I am quite small, though). So I don't think it is for everyone. If your style is very mature and conservative, you will like it, but for a petite person it might be too bulky/heavy (or it might be not be necessarily flattering to your hips/curves).
I am thinking of extending the bodice a bit to make it less empire waisted. I have a larger chest. Any tips to keep in mind. I’m a pretty new sewer. So thankful for your patterns!

I was hoping you might do a “how to upsize a dress pattern” since I am a size 26. Exactly a size too big for your patterns! 😪
If I wanted to make this dress only button up in the bodice would I need to insert a zip?

It’s not sadly, it has a slight curve l.
