    I love how you explain your tutorials,you speed them up but not so fast it's obvious.Your choice of fabrics is always gorgeous and your new design is beautiful.I like the first one but that might be because I love the fabric.I also like the way you cut out the notches,leaving a point of fabric.This is the way I was taught and it means your not cutting into the seam allowance.

    Wow, Janelle! You’ve done it again! I’m so excited about this pattern and as always, my little girl was excited to watch your new video, too. I love your thorough explanation and how your passion shows in every video you make. I’ve been wanting to make my sister a dress and the daisy dress happens to be her favorite style. Cannot wait to make it for her!
    By the way, there’s something I’d like to share with you. This past week we were at Joann’s (fabric store) and my daughter randomly told me you previously worked at a fabric store, but now you work full-time doing what you love. She says that when she is able to work, she wants to work at a fabric store to collect fabric, learn to design clothes, make patterns, and make videos to inspire others just like you inspire her. She’s only 10 1/2. We watch many sewers on this platform, but you, Janelle, are definitely our favorite ❤️
    Have you ever considered starting a workshop online class for young aspiring sewists? Learn to design, pattern making, start online business/videos, etc. You would make a great teacher! I would definitely sign my daughter up. 😊
    Sorry for the extra long message.

    Made this in a couple of days... honestly the most beautiful dress I have made so far! I made it out of a burnt orange and used Rosery Apparel's tie-up sleeve pattern to make the sleeves... so beautiful!!
    I have a smaller bust, so V-necks just don't really work on me, but because I made it I was able to bring the v up by 2-3 inches and now it's the perfect dress!!

    Hi Janelle! I found a beautiful linen button-up dress (the whole length of the front) that I want to alter to be midi-length and have an elastic waist so it’s a little more bump-friendly. Do you have any recommendations for being able to keep the buttons but also have the elastic waist? Will that look funny? I was thinking I could always just keep the buttons on the bodice and make the skirt just a solid skirt. Thoughts? Thanks for any tips! ♥️

    I have just purchased this pattern. I have a question, though... I would like to sew the sleeveless version, but with a heavy winter fabric (like wool-flanell). Should I rather do pleats instead of the skirt gathering? I am worried that the gathering would add too much of a bulk to the dress. Thank you!

      @BeetleJandra 3 місяці тому +1

      @@Feoliveiran Yes, I did box pleating (used a wool blend). It gives a very conservative impression, and it looks quite heavy on me (I am quite small, though).
      So I don't think it is for everyone. If your style is very mature and conservative, you will like it, but for a petite person it might be too bulky/heavy (or it might be not be necessarily flattering to your hips/curves).

    • @RoseryApparel
      @RoseryApparel  3 роки тому +2

      It’s such beautiful fabric Cathy, you are going to love it! Yes that’s right, it’s tedious but you just carefully cut around the embroidered edge. The skirt of the Daisy is rounded at the bottom so you may need to make the dress with a gathered rectangle skirt instead (that’s what I would do anyway), if you own the Rosa or Hazel patterns you can use those skirt templates as a reference. I hope this makes sense! 😊 x

    • @cvgsunset5844
      @cvgsunset5844 9 місяців тому

      @@sierrawho3914 Hi! The dress pattern actually goes up to a size 24- when you purchase the pattern, you get either the smaller or larger size range. If you still need to make it a little bigger: for example, the 22 fits me best in the shoulders but it’s still a little snug around the middle, I’ve left out the waist darts in the back and front (I left the side bust darts in the front), and used the size 24 skirt pattern pieces so I could still gather them, and it seems to be okay. 😊 I’m not an expert in sizing up patterns, so if you need to size up past size 24, maybe someone else can chime in about that.

    Hi Janelle!
    I was hoping you might do a “how to upsize a dress pattern” since I am a size 26. Exactly a size too big for your patterns! 😪

    If I wanted to make this dress only button up in the bodice would I need to insert a zip?

    Is the skirt bottom completely straight across, so a border print type fabric could be used for a border on the skirt bottom?

      It’s not sadly, it has a slight curve l.

    While I am too old to wear your style of dresses, I do enjoy watching you.

    Hi Janelle! I have purchased the pattern and I have cut out the pattern. I’m a bit confused about the seam allowances. Is it 1cm or 1/2 inch?

    Hi. Please help me. How do you measure how to place the space from end to sew on buttons? Hec. I don't know if I make sense 😮‍💨. I have made my holes and now I feel one side looks so wide with the holes and the under part with the buttons looks so small in width. Really stuck and need help pretty please.

      17:28 Also! For the lining of Dress C, could I just use the same fabric as my outer fabric?

    Would you consider pattern hacking this dress to add a collar? Would be stunning!

    I really wish there was a pattern pack that was just sleeve options. I'm not a huge puffed sleeve lady, but love your patterns!

      I have two free sleeve template packs that you can find here:
      www.roseryapparel.com/videos/die-big-sleeves
      www.roseryapparel.com/videos/statement-sleeves
      Also, all of the sleeve templates for all of my patterns can be mix and matched, so if you have the willow pattern, you can use those sleeves on the Daisy pattern etc 😊
