You should definitely watch their short film about the recording of the album Evergreen. Really showcases their work ethic, but especially the arranging collaboration they do.
Agreed! Also, they wrote a song to honor the support their mothers gave them as they grew & they named this album after that song - Evergreen. It's all 5 of them and an acoustic guitar & it's beautiful! Check it out! 💖

I have watched her channel. I adore her, but I would love if she reacted to more Pentatonix. Her reactions are so moving.
They're very good at creating movement in the music, it's never static and it adds so much more to the song.
The Fairy Voice Mother is amazing. Her breakdown of Pentatonix's cover of Hallelujah was incredible!
For Kevin's solo stuff, "Renegade", "Sign of the Time", "Down" are all insane. Rengade is my personal favorite!!!
The genius of this arrangement is that they chose to do this song in 4 rather than 6/8... the last chord is an A9 with Avi sing singing a 3rd ledger-line bass clef A; that pedal point showers us with overtones. That makes PTX sound like an organ with the intervalic spread!
They look and sound like absolute angels in this song/video. It’s absolutely amazing. One of the most unique versions of this song I have ever heard. It’s a great song and this version is my favorite. As for Kevin’s stuff, I really enjoy his cover of “Down”. It’s just a really great display of his various talents and how he composes music. His voice is really magnificent. I actually love the bass line on this song in particular. It always sticks out to me. I love it. Radiates through my body.
Since you seem to like choral arrangements, they perform Carol Of The Bells in a Madrigal style and it's great!
Scott also wrote a lullaby for his little nephew, Light In The Hallway, & asked Avi to sing the lead w/his beautiful velvet voice. They perform it around 1 mic & just the 5 voices. It's amazing!
As is Avi's and Kevin's Run To You! Just the voices and so hauntingly beautiful!
As for Matt, there's another strictly harmony song on their 2021 Christmas album called My Heart With You - beautiful!
There are so many others and one of my favorites is Come Along! Almost a cheery Madrigal! Matt is the bass.
On their 2020 Christmas album there are 2 songs that are rarely reacted to because there's no video. When You Wish Upon A Star, and Once Upon A December. In the December song they reproduce the sounds of an old carousel 🎠 organ. It's just so lovely!

As was mentioned by someone else, Ben Bram had been PTX's producer/arranger since The Sing Off, where Ben was a staff coach/arranger. He was a co-winner of their "Daft Punk Medley" and "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy" Grammies for his work in arranging those songs. Ben is also co-founder, along with Avi and Rob Dietz (composer/arranger) of the A Cappella Academy, a 10-day intensive annual Summer music camp for 12 to 18-year olds from around the world. They learn vocals, performance, theory/arranging, and specialties like beatboxing and bass singing (which Avi has often taught). Back at the same time PTX released this song you just reacted to, which Ben arranged along with Kevin, the full ACA choir performed the arrangement at their end-of-term showcase. Hello Singer Dad Josh. Thank you so much for reacting to this. This is one my favourite songs when Elvis did it and now a favourite from PTX, as they have covered it just so beautifully. Their harmonies and all the vocalizations. Mitch's voice is so pure in this and when he separates is just beautiful. PTX excels every time. Thanks for sharing info on Fairy Voice Mother, I heard about her today for the first time, so I will check out her reactions. So glad to hear you will be reacting to more PTX. Have you seen them live? I saw them on their Evergreen tour. EPIC! I don't know if you heard....Kirstie is pregnant. She's been living with the baby daddy for a few years now. He (Ben Hausdorff) is PTX's videographer. They are having a baby girl in June. I know...Kevin sings so high. Mitch says Kevin can sing higher than he can. This is also one of my fave covers. Ben Bram is their co-arranger. There is a great interview with him by Jacob Restituto, who has his own channel. Check it out. Twice, including the last 20 sec., I liked the echoing. Yes....you just identified it. Talk about good story telling...have you seen (recently) their 11th performance for the "Sing Off". Amazing. Check out their BTS (Behind the Scenes) in the making of their most recent album "Evergreen". So cool. If you need a link for this, let me know. My faves are "Run to You", and "My Heart with You". The former is an original which was inspired by the latter song. They recorded the latter just last year even though they have known it for 10 years. Most people suggest his cover of "Down" to start and it is an excellent place to start. My current Kevin music obsessions are "Sign Of The Times" performance video, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" performance video, and his original (cello only) "Renegade". Avi was the brainchild to begin a youth A Capella choir.
He shared his idea with Ben and one other gentleman.
They are the founders of A Capella Academy.
A choir made up of ages 12 -18. Young people tryout from all over the world.
Since some cannot afford to pay, Avi goes livestream once a year, taking song requests, which he sings spur of the moment
for donations to pay for those who cannot.

Oi esta canción por primera vez por Diana Ankudinova, me impresionó y encantó, y después busque la interpretación original, que fue por Elvis Presley, la verdad es que conocía la melodía, pero jamás hubiera dicho que la canción interpretada por Diana era la misma, tan diferentes me parecen. Oi también la versión de Andrea Bocelli y de Bob Dylan, ésta última después de la de Diana es mi preferida. Una vocal coah que no recuerdo ahora su nombre, analizando la versión de Diana mencionaba que aunque la letra de la canción parece referirse al amor de la pareja, en realidad Elvis se la canto y dedicó a su abuela, y pensaba que quizás la interpretación de Diana hubiera tenido ésto en cuenta al escoger cantarla, debido a su trágica infancia. No sé si es una especulación con fundamento o no. Éste grupo que presentas, lo oire por primera vez, así que ya veré qué me parece. Me encantan tus análisis!
