Baby Fuzz did not give her the song. He has publicly stated this. That he knew nothing about her demo. The most believable rumor out there is that two of the other songwriters approached Angies team and had her cut the demo and they produced it. Any rumors beyond that are pure speculation

@@jdeang3531 who knows really? Except fuzz. Ronny. Aksel. IMO Fuzz must have had a demo that Angie listened to first just to get the basic feel for the phrasing for the lyrics. Then Angie worked her magic on it. And Ronny and Aksel did an outstanding job in post production. I think her version is a masterpiece that is Radio ready. Would love for her to revisit it.
A great thoughtful reaction to one of her best performances... I'm concerned that as you move on with you schedual you'll miss Every Time We Say Goodbye. It's a truly unique performance. On a rooftop in Oslo, singing with a guitar accompaniment she's saying goodbye to Oslo before she leaves on an extended trip later that day. It's a beautiful experience to listen to and watch. Even for Angelina, it's an exceptionally soft and emotional performance. She always had an ability to select just the right song for the moment.

Josh, if you want to really hear "basement low" from Angelina, you must check out her renditions of the hymn "How Great Thou Art" (in the same key as Elvis, from what I've read!) and the classic old Sinatra standard "You Make Me Feel So Young"! Her low octave range, while maintaining awesome breath control, will stagger your mind!
It is believed by many that Angelina's mom didn't think it was appropriate for her, at 10 years old, to release a song that refer's to a drowning suicide. I believe it is among the best recordings she has ever done and would have zoomed up the charts, had it been released. It is truly mind boggling when you realize her age. I do hear a lot of the influence that Billie Holiday has had on Angelina.
She's not covering Baby Fuzz. He asked her to make a demo for his lyrics to this song and then he made a version covering her version covering his lyrics.
I think you would enjoy hearing her sing, “You are always on my mind”. She dedicated the song to her Grandpa who recently died. Her presentation is so sincere, heartfelt and emotional.

Dad, to me this was your finest reaction to our barefoot princess. At the closing of the video you spoke about love. So many of us literally love Angelina and, in fact, many of us have never felt the kind of love she has touched our hearts with. The sound of her voice with it's soulfulness and always a hint of jazz make her so unique there is no one to compare her to even at 10 years old. Funny story: Her family enrolled her in a special music class when she was very, very young. The class introduced the students to the technical aspects of arranging music, etc., and also to learn how to sing. The teachers wanted to speak to her family to tell them they can continue to teach Angelina about the technical aspects of music but it would be a waste of their time to teach her how to sing. They actually told her family Angelina could qualify as an instructor teaching students how to sing at such an early age. Dad, I recently read a comment from one of her 'angels' , his name is Paul Adamson, and I'd like to share it with you. We had just listened to Angelina sing 'What a Difference a Day Makes' at 8 years old (you'd swear it was Dinah Washington singing!) and, as usual, all of us had a lot to say. Paul quoted Plato, the great philosopher: "Music is a moral law. It gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm of sadness, and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good, just and beautiful, of which it is the invisible, but nevertheless dazzling, passionate, and eternal forms." And then, Paul offered this comment: "I think Plato must have foreseen the coming of Angelina Jordan when he scribed these beautiful words."

How she is able to arrange cover songs so they become her own is unreal for someone her age. So is her voice, her singing ability and the the way she conveys emotions that seem to be beyond her years. Prodigy is not too big a word in her case. She is truly exceptional.

So I hope Republics producers take a close note of this. Usually Angelinas voice is best with simple acoustic accompaniment. This production show cases her voice. It is an excellent example of how it is possible to not drown the subtleties of her voice by over production.
Her production company, the people shee actually works with everyday (except Rob) is Stargate, a Nowegian company based in the US, whose particating artist include Sam Smith, Rihanna and Beyonce. So she's in good and loving hands.

What she does with her vocals on different songs is the reason one of her fan nicknames is the "Angel with 1000 Voices." She uses the voice that is most appropriate for the song she is singing.
Technically it’s a demo from the time when he was pitching this great song to singers. His own version is good too and i think he borrowed some from Angelina in how the chorus takes off a tall cliff and just soars. Nice to see you again!

Yes Lovin You. You’ll get to see yet another side of her. More of that bite she put in the words down and drown in this one. Please not there’s a lengthy instrumental introduction in Lovin You before she comes on stage and hits you in the gut with her first tone.
Let me quibble a bit with your strictly chronological approach. You can listen to Angelina at any age and be stunned. Yes, her voice today is stronger and more resonant, but you can see her here at 10 killing this song for anyone else. If you stick with your approach, you’ll never catch up to present day Angelina because she has so many incredible songs. Within the past year, her releases of Suspicious Minds, Easy on Me, and I Have Nothing are all staggeringly good. You can go back anytime to her huge, amazing cache of songs, but you really should hear what Angelina can do today. I listen to Angelina everyday, and choose her older songs hundreds of times. Treat yourself to the best singer you’ll ever hear-and watch what she can do right now.
I totally agree with you johnvasi. Experiencing Angelina out of chronological sequence in no way takes away from the enjoyment of discovering her oeuvre. And I have been experiencing Angelina’s journey since 2017. For much of her discovery I had no choice but to discover her chronologically. Have you reacted to her performances from the Proysenfestivalen at age 11? Highlights include Loving You, Diamonds Are Forever and Cry Me a River. She was on fire that day! And then there is the incredible studio version of I'm a Fool to Want You, where she records the song for her album, It's Magic. She's 11 there, too. Highly recommended!
At around 12 Years old she did a cover of How Great Thou Art (Elvis) where she spent the entire song in her low range... and it's both beautiful and shocking! It was a real struggle to understand how she was doing what she was doing! A must watch. Great Reaction.
This demo was never meant to be released. Her parents made this decision owing to the topic of suicide in the song. We know that she was 10 when she sang this. The images on this fan made video indicate it wasn't leaked until she was 12. The emotional aspects of the lyrics and her performance are worth mentioning too, since everything in the song and the singer result in the emotional reaction of the listener to the song. And no one delivers the intended emotions of the lyrics like Angelina.
Great to see you again with our favorite young lady. Age 11 see did a big outdoor concert with several of the same back up band from age 10 tv show singing Feeling Good. This entire concert and one other are fantastic. Loving You is just unbelievable! She changed a couple of words to reflect her age. Originally it was I Just Want To make Love To You. Another outstanding performance is Diamonds Are Forever, the James Bond movie song. I wish you could take a break and jump up to last years February video AJ did for Valentine’s Day, My Funny Valentine by a just turned 16 year old is the most beautiful recording ever done for that song! Good luck with the microphone issues. I still have my 1968 Shure I used in my old high school band.
Not often noted is that the co-writers of this song did the studio production for this demo. Their work with Angelina and the sonic choices made are a big part of this outstanding song...

An original, is any song which was not recorded by any artist before, it may be composed by the person singing it, or by someone else. Baby FuzZ and 3 others wrote this song at a Music Camp. He actually performed the “Cover” that Angelina had already recorded in 2016, at 10. The Demo or not, it was published, uploaded, on Nov. 11, 2018. Reportedly, his offical video, published Dec 9, 2018, (two years later) was met with very little fanfare. He has since, given her Copyright privileges, and his blessing, to make a proper recording of the song. (After 350 various videos, this remains in my top 10!)
I think you may be right that this one has the lowest notes you've heard from her so far. For reference, the first note of her a-cappella "I'm a Fool to Want You", which she sang just after turning 8, seems to have been only one note higher than the low notes you were marvelling at here (E3 vs. D3) - and this was (reportedly) sung nearly 3 years later, when she was just about to turn 11. She hit F3s and E3s (AFAICT) in some other things you've already heard, but just for the record, she got down to a D3 (more or less) when she sang "Unchained Melody" on a talk show called _Lindmo_ about a year before this recording (when she was about to turn 10). There is general agreement that the lowest note we've ever heard from her (so far) is in "How Great Thou Art", sung when she was 12, but disagreement over what the note actually was. I say "on paper" it was a C3, but it sounds to me like she went a little lower than that (but not as low as a B2) because she was trying to come up to the note from below it. (!)

Hello SingerDad, There are a lot of rumours. Actually this is her song because she sang it first but only as a demo and BabyFuzz did a cover of her. I think it's quite simple, the song would have gone through the roof and for her 10 years on this song and the way she is protected by her family it would have been too soon with the hype that followed and as mentioned would have been without a record deal it would have been difficult to release this song and only others would have benefited from it. but that's just a guess on my part

It's shocking to realize that the video was shot when Angelina was 10 years old ... so this is the child that is singing on 'I'm Still Holding Out For You' almost 2 years before Baby Fuzz! It was just a demo at the time of recording, and Brandon didn't record his own version until a couple of years later. Baby Fuzz did his official video twice. The second was after he had heard Angelina's. He is a tremendous writer. I really like this song. Angelina's family were hesitant to have her singing because of the end .. but what you're going to hear is what was put together as a demo.
Sir, Angelina´s video was "leaked" a week befor Mr. Lowry brought out his video. That in mind, she arranged this song and I suspect, Mr.Lowry was inspired by her version. As some reactors said, who sends a song to a 10 year old child for a demo? They answered themselves: A very intelligent person, knowing her to be a musical genius. Thanks for a thorough researched reaction it was much more than the typical reaction. One comment on this song, I have read that it was brought to her by the group Stargate to develop a demo recording to send to Baby Fuz as he was asking for someone to sing it. Do know what actually happened but he released his own version and evidentally later someone ,in his organization?put together the video and "leaked it" I strongly recommend that you react to "A Song for A" for many reasons. The music was composed by Nico Curtisio as the last movement in his instrumental classical piece depicting the seven levels of frozen hell. We wanted the last movement to be about redemption and love and remembered the 18th century Scottish poet Robert Burns poem Rigs of Barley" and he wanted Angelina to sing it so he sent it to her and the result is awesome. I think she was 11. Very few people react to this, but I think it checks a lot of boxes for you. I really look forward to your thoughts on this. One question as you listen, "What pic movie should this have the opening song for" I love the violin at the end.
One small thing that gets me right off the bat on this one is the way she makes the same vowel sound on "my" and the "mo" in "tomorrow". I just love that.

If You Go Away is an amazing song, made up of simple, short words and phrases that, if played well, will touch your heart. Angelina does more than that. You will find Logic, Sadness, Yearning, Resignation, Pain, Forgiveness, and others I can’t identify, all within her interpretation. The camp where this song was written was in the summer of 2016 and Angelina recorded this demo in the winter of 2016. Angelina did not attend that camp.
@@todradmaker4297 actually she did attend the camp but the demo was not at the camp and she was not there at the same time as BF. She and her family already knew Freda and some others there, also they have worked with them before.

She is coming out with her new album soon and this is when she will enter mainstream. This Angel is about to spread her wings and fly. This rehearsal of this song is for her album "It's Magic" and is pure raw vocals with just a little bleed through of the music in the background, this is simply an 11 year old artist at work. Andy, I just recommended CRY ME A RIVER and LOVIN’ YOU from that same concert. CRY ME A RIVER is a masterpiece. Much prefer that version than the one she did with the military band. They tried to turn it into a James Bond theme. Not as intimate as the one you recommend. Plus it has that great trombone solo. The fewer instruments the better.
I am not a musician but I love singing and listen/watch good quality music in different genres: classical, religious, cross-over, musical and (since I discovered Angelina about 4 month ago) jazz/blues/soul. As almost everybody has experienced with Angelina: you have to see it, otherwise you can't believe it. Your in depth reactions are awesome. To me good singers like Angelina Jordan (jazz/blues/soul), Amira Willighagen (classical, religious, cross-over), Lucy Thomas (musical, cross-over, pop), Jadyn Rylee (pop) and other young singers who are putting their soul and effort into making their musical dreams work do deserve that. I think we also can learn from your reactions, at least I do absolutely, so thank you also for that. About Angelina's music videos: mostly they are created by her grandmother, a jazz singer herself. She made Angelina listen to it from very, very, early age and apparently that has worked out well on Angelina (to say the least). There is a lovely 20 minutes long documentaire about 'early Angelina' on UA-cam: 'Angelina Jordan, Born to sing, 2006-2014'. It is a wonderful and realistic view inside her early years and what kind a person she is.

Baby Fuzz did not give her the song. He has publicly stated this. That he knew nothing about her demo. The most believable rumor out there is that two of the other songwriters approached Angies team and had her cut the demo and they produced it. Any rumors beyond that are pure speculation

Then Angie worked her magic on it. And Ronny and Aksel did an outstanding job in post production. I think her version is a masterpiece that is Radio ready. Would love for her to revisit it.

A great thoughtful reaction to one of her best performances... I'm concerned that as you move on with you schedual you'll miss Every Time We Say Goodbye. It's a truly unique performance. On a rooftop in Oslo, singing with a guitar accompaniment she's saying goodbye to Oslo before she leaves on an extended trip later that day. It's a beautiful experience to listen to and watch. Even for Angelina, it's an exceptionally soft and emotional performance. She always had an ability to select just the right song for the moment.
One of the best things about this is that it's a demo she did, not an actual recording to be released.

Josh, if you want to really hear "basement low" from Angelina, you must check out her renditions of the hymn "How Great Thou Art" (in the same key as Elvis, from what I've read!) and the classic old Sinatra standard "You Make Me Feel So Young"! Her low octave range, while maintaining awesome breath control, will stagger your mind!

Dad, to me this was your finest reaction to our barefoot princess. At the closing of the video you spoke about love. So many of us literally love Angelina and, in fact, many of us have never felt the kind of love she has touched our hearts with. The sound of her voice with it's soulfulness and always a hint of jazz make her so unique there is no one to compare her to even at 10 years old.
Funny story: Her family enrolled her in a special music class when she was very, very young. The class introduced the students to the technical aspects of arranging music, etc., and also to learn how to sing. The teachers wanted to speak to her family to tell them they can continue to teach Angelina about the technical aspects of music but it would be a waste of their time to teach her how to sing. They actually told her family Angelina could qualify as an instructor teaching students how to sing at such an early age.
Dad, I recently read a comment from one of her 'angels' , his name is Paul Adamson, and I'd like to share it with you. We had just listened to Angelina sing 'What a Difference a Day Makes' at 8 years old (you'd swear it was Dinah Washington singing!) and, as usual, all of us had a lot to say. Paul quoted Plato, the great philosopher: "Music is a moral law. It gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm of sadness, and life to everything. It is the essence of order, and leads to all that is good, just and beautiful, of which it is the invisible, but nevertheless dazzling, passionate, and eternal forms." And then, Paul offered this comment: "I think Plato must have foreseen the coming of Angelina Jordan when he scribed these beautiful words."

So I hope Republics producers take a close note of this. Usually Angelinas voice is best with simple acoustic accompaniment. This production show cases her voice. It is an excellent example of how it is possible to not drown the subtleties of her voice by over production.
Her production company, the people shee actually works with everyday (except Rob) is Stargate, a Nowegian company based in the US, whose particating artist include Sam Smith, Rihanna and Beyonce. So she's in good and loving hands.

Technically it’s a demo from the time when he was pitching this great song to singers. His own version is good too and i think he borrowed some from Angelina in how the chorus takes off a tall cliff and just soars. Nice to see you again!

Yes Lovin You. You’ll get to see yet another side of her. More of that bite she put in the words down and drown in this one. Please not there’s a lengthy instrumental introduction in Lovin You before she comes on stage and hits you in the gut with her first tone.
Let me quibble a bit with your strictly chronological approach. You can listen to Angelina at any age and be stunned. Yes, her voice today is stronger and more resonant, but you can see her here at 10 killing this song for anyone else. If you stick with your approach, you’ll never catch up to present day Angelina because she has so many incredible songs. Within the past year, her releases of Suspicious Minds, Easy on Me, and I Have Nothing are all staggeringly good. You can go back anytime to her huge, amazing cache of songs, but you really should hear what Angelina can do today. I listen to Angelina everyday, and choose her older songs hundreds of times. Treat yourself to the best singer you’ll ever hear-and watch what she can do right now.
I totally agree with you johnvasi. Experiencing Angelina out of chronological sequence in no way takes away from the enjoyment of discovering her oeuvre. And I have been experiencing Angelina’s journey since 2017. For much of her discovery I had no choice but to discover her chronologically.

At around 12 Years old she did a cover of How Great Thou Art (Elvis) where she spent the entire song in her low range... and it's both beautiful and shocking! It was a real struggle to understand how she was doing what she was doing! A must watch. Great Reaction.
This demo was never meant to be released. Her parents made this decision owing to the topic of suicide in the song. We know that she was 10 when she sang this. The images on this fan made video indicate it wasn't leaked until she was 12.

The emotional aspects of the lyrics and her performance are worth mentioning too, since everything in the song and the singer result in the emotional reaction of the listener to the song. And no one delivers the intended emotions of the lyrics like Angelina.

Great to see you again with our favorite young lady. Age 11 see did a big outdoor concert with several of the same back up band from age 10 tv show singing Feeling Good. This entire concert and one other are fantastic. Loving You is just unbelievable! She changed a couple of words to reflect her age. Originally it was I Just Want To make Love To You. Another outstanding performance is Diamonds Are Forever, the James Bond movie song.
I wish you could take a break and jump up to last years February video AJ did for Valentine’s Day, My Funny Valentine by a just turned 16 year old is the most beautiful recording ever done for that song! The Demo or not, it was published, uploaded, on Nov. 11, 2018. Reportedly, his offical video, published Dec 9, 2018, (two years later) was met with very little fanfare. He has since, given her Copyright privileges, and his blessing, to make a proper recording of the song. (After 350 various videos, this remains in my top 10!)

I'm in my 60's and in NO WAY embarrassed to say I was a fan of this kid since she was missing her front teeth.
I think you may be right that this one has the lowest notes you've heard from her so far. For reference, the first note of her a-cappella "I'm a Fool to Want You", which she sang just after turning 8, seems to have been only one note higher than the low notes you were marvelling at here (E3 vs. D3) - and this was (reportedly) sung nearly 3 years later, when she was just about to turn 11. She hit F3s and E3s (AFAICT) in some other things you've already heard, but just for the record, she got down to a D3 (more or less) when she sang "Unchained Melody" on a talk show called _Lindmo_ about a year before this recording (when she was about to turn 10). There is general agreement that the lowest note we've ever heard from her (so far) is in "How Great Thou Art", sung when she was 12, but disagreement over what the note actually was. I say "on paper" it was a C3, but it sounds to me like she went a little lower than that (but not as low as a B2) because she was trying to come up to the note from below it. (!)

Hello SingerDad, There are a lot of rumours. Actually this is her song because she sang it first but only as a demo and BabyFuzz did a cover of her. I think it's quite simple, the song would have gone through the roof and for her 10 years on this song and the way she is protected by her family it would have been too soon with the hype that followed and as mentioned would have been without a record deal it would have been difficult to release this song and only others would have benefited from it. but that's just a guess on my part
That ending is just artistry with the run sounding like her sinking down through the river waters. Genius level.

Angelina's family were hesitant to have her singing because of the end .. but what you're going to hear is what was put together as a demo.
Sir, Angelina´s video was "leaked" a week befor Mr. Lowry brought out his video. That in mind, she arranged this song and I suspect, Mr.Lowry was inspired by her version. As some reactors said, who sends a song to a 10 year old child for a demo? They answered themselves: A very intelligent person, knowing her to be a musical genius.
I might add, Angelina is at least 30 years older than her body, a few people, having experience with highly gifted kids are very sure, she is one as well.

Thanks for a thorough researched reaction it was much more than the typical reaction. One comment on this song, I have read that it was brought to her by the group Stargate to develop a demo recording to send to Baby Fuz as he was asking for someone to sing it. Do know what actually happened but he released his own version and evidentally later someone ,in his organization?put together the video and "leaked it"
I strongly recommend that you react to "A Song for A" for many reasons. The music was composed by Nico Curtisio as the last movement in his instrumental classical piece depicting the seven levels of frozen hell. We wanted the last movement to be about redemption and love and remembered the 18th century Scottish poet Robert Burns poem Rigs of Barley" and he wanted Angelina to sing it so he sent it to her and the result is awesome. I think she was 11. Very few people react to this, but I think it checks a lot of boxes for you. I really look forward to your thoughts on this. One question as you listen, "What pic movie should this have the opening song for" I love the violin at the end.
One small thing that gets me right off the bat on this one is the way she makes the same vowel sound on "my" and the "mo" in "tomorrow". I just love that.

If You Go Away is an amazing song, made up of simple, short words and phrases that, if played well, will touch your heart. Angelina does more than that. The camp where this song was written was in the summer of 2016 and Angelina recorded this demo in the winter of 2016. Angelina did not attend that camp.
@@todradmaker4297 actually she did attend the camp but the demo was not at the camp and she was not there at the same time as BF. She and her family already knew Freda and some others there, also they have worked with them before.
Good reaction dude you see things others miss. Sometimes it is these special little things that sent people a part. She is coming out with her new album soon and this is when she will enter mainstream. This Angel is about to spread her wings and fly. BTW Check your connector to see if the shielding is properly grounded because they typically get grounded to the casing it may have a poor solder joint. Check mic end also.

I thoroughly enjoy all of your observations and as you say.... there's not much more that I can add. I would ask you, however, to give a listen to 'A Song For A.' This was the only vocal on an entire album of instrumentals. The composer, Nic Cartosio, specifically chose and sought out Angelina for this lush composition. Pretty sure all her Angels covet this song as one of her best at 10 or any other age I suppose though there are so so many "best" songs from Angelina. I would like to suggest this video of Angelina rehearsing "I'm A Fool To Want You" in studio at age 11. She had performed this song at age 8 on NGT, A Cappella. This rehearsal of this song is for her album "It's Magic" and is pure raw vocals with just a little bleed through of the music in the background, this is simply an 11 year old artist at work. I am watching the end of your reaction and you are so right .I will say it my own way, if I may . Most of singers sing the song and well , but AJ sculpt and paint the song. Always setting the song first . Using her toolbox not to show off ( like so many) but on behalf of the song. To me that's what make the difference.

Andy, I just recommended CRY ME A RIVER and LOVIN’ YOU from that same concert. CRY ME A RIVER is a masterpiece. Much prefer that version than the one she did with the military band. They tried to turn it into a James Bond theme. Not as intimate as the one you recommend. Plus it has that great trombone solo. The fewer instruments the better.

I am not a musician but I love singing and listen/watch good quality music in different genres: classical, religious, cross-over, musical and (since I discovered Angelina about 4 month ago) jazz/blues/soul. As almost everybody has experienced with Angelina: you have to see it, otherwise you can't believe it. Your in depth reactions are awesome. To me good singers like Angelina Jordan (jazz/blues/soul), Amira Willighagen (classical, religious, cross-over), Lucy Thomas (musical, cross-over, pop), Jadyn Rylee (pop) and other young singers who are putting their soul and effort into making their musical dreams work do deserve that. I think we also can learn from your reactions, at least I do absolutely, so thank you also for that. About Angelina's music videos: mostly they are created by her grandmother, a jazz singer herself. She made Angelina listen to it from very, very, early age and apparently that has worked out well on Angelina (to say the least). There is a lovely 20 minutes long documentaire about 'early Angelina' on UA-cam: 'Angelina Jordan, Born to sing, 2006-2014'. It is a wonderful and realistic view inside her early years and what kind a person she is.
