Love seeing you two reacting together. 😊 Two of my favourite reactors. Thanks guys! I have to say, this wasn't one of my favourite tracks from the album, but your enthusiasm helped turn me on to it a bit more Phil.
I didn’t know you guys knew each other! The thing you have in common when you react that I LOVE is that you’re not afraid to show how emotional some of the songs or harmonies make you. I respect a man who is not afraid to cry when moved. Thank you both for being yourselves for us. We may not say it enough, but it means so much to us. Cuz that’s how we reacted too. That’s why we’re such fans. Thank you to both of you. When I’m really feeling down, I seek out you and PTX/superfruit. ❤️❤️
I love that you both appreciate the simplicity of the video. I've seen a fair few people saying they expected more (especially after the BR video being so different) but I agree with you both that a song this beautiful doesn't need a big video. Seeing them just show off their voices was all that was needed for this song. It didn't harm that they all looked so stunning too (Kirstie especially looks breathtaking) It's my favourite song from the album and although the original is one of my favourite songs of all time I somehow love their version even more! I've been so happy that they kept the song so elegant and I'm just as happy that the video was in keeping to the song. They all sound amazing but I'm so in love with mitch taking the lead on this. It couldn't fit his voice anymore perfectly. It's also great seeing you two react together again. I always love your collabs whether it's a reaction or challenge video. Hope you're both having a great day!
I think it has a cross between "Run To You" and "Valentine" The pure vocal harmony of "Run To You" and the layered bell tones of "Valentine". As always I love seeing you react together.
no beatboxing in this one, just tight modern harmonies which create the perfect ambiance and feeling. Totally agree with you, they couldn't visually do too much so as to not take away from the essential - the beautiful music. hugs and kisses to all.
Guys, just a note... Avi's low note at the end was a 3rd ledger line A! That pedal tone just made the overtones ring! The last chord sounded like an organ! I always like to see you guys... really tasteful, and respectful reactions!
this definitely gave me Run To You vibes, especially with the particles falling around them. and the harmonies were similar to Valentine, too. I love that they gave it an Imogen Heap feel with those chords, & Mitch's Prince outfit? ♡
You guys together are such a joy! You hit the nail on the head with the lighting, timing of individual shots, and exquisite voices in this video. PTX continues to bless us with their music and you guys continue to charm and enlighten us with your reactions! Thanks!
Yay both right! And I definitely can hear more because of the visuals. It's the cue that makes you pay more attention, at least that's what I think. Great reaction from you both.
I always look forward to your collaborations with Rob!! You play off of each other's energy so well. Thanks for another great reaction to such a beautiful song!!! Have a lovely day!!
Sweet reaction guys! I loved the simplicity of the video for the complexity of their voices! Perfect! They really did the song justice. In my mind, they sang this as a 'thank you' to the fans. They love us....they really, really love us! And we love you!
I love it when you two are together for a video! Thanks for thinking of us during your visit. (Rob, I loved your teaser, with the two chairs!) The video is perfect! I actually had a quibble the first time I watched it. At the end, when Scott lifts his hands in that typical gesture of his, I was slightly put off, because it distracted from the perfection. Then I changed my mind; I think we needed that tiny bit of asymmetry. Also, it was so nice to see Kirstin's smile at 3:38 and 3:50! She seemed very serious, almost sad, at other moments, but then (pardon the cliché) the sun came out. Finally, you and others have commented on the similarity of the video structure to the way they sang "Hallelujah" on the Christmas special. I find the musical arrangement reminiscent of the underappreciated "Valentine," especially at 4:05. Wonderful song, perfect video, great reaction. Love you guys!
I love it when you two collaborate on PTX and Superfruit reactions. Both of you have a similar reaction style/manner and I truly enjoy it. Great reaction guys! Great way to start my day! :) Also, the style of this video reminds me of "Run To You"..one of their original classics.
I think that's an audio illusion. I don't think it was remixed; I think it's being able to see who's singing what. I certainly became much more aware of Kevin's voice when I first watched the video.
What happens is the video provides a basis for which to hear each individual voice. If you're a long time pentaholic, then you have a good idea of what each member of PTX sounds like. When the video shows individual members, your brain actively searches for that members voice and separates it from the background. So when you see Mitch, you hear him better. When you see Scott, you hear him better. Etc. ....at least, that's my theory. It's what happens in their other songs for me.
Great job, guys! Regarding hearing "more" when we watch the video, I think that possibly the video steers our brain and we subconciously focus on what our brain believes is the person's voice that we see. However, that being said, I have believed since the first time that I saw PTX on video that they give each person's voice track a subtle volume boost when on screen. Glad you are feeling better, Rob. Guys, please react to Home Free and "How Great Thou Art." It will take you to a better place...
I'm with Rob. Can't choose. I'm partial to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy myself cause I love the old school sound. But this song is up there too. They're all perfect for different reasons! Every time I listen though especially with this song and the video I hear something new. I am just envisioning the visual journey new soon to be Pentaholics are going on with the differing videos from this EP. But when is Phil gonna show off his beautiful voice again!?!
It's odd that you guys said that about it sounding different as you watched the video. Just last week I had a neurologist tell me that we hear things differently if we're also watching them occur; visual input affects (and usually enhances) aural interpretation. (Or hell, maybe they did just remix it!)
While this isn't my personal favorite of their new EP, I do really enjoy this song. For me, I think what speaks the most is how simple it is compared to some of their other songs. If we look at Bohemian Rhapsody or Hallelujah is almost meant to be a "real" song (Avi on bass, Kevin on percussion, the others switching between singer and keyboard) where this song just seems to be more of a true acapella song. That's just my take on it, love to hear your thoughts.
🎵Plz REACT to: (1) Darren Espanto's awesome original "HOME - at Myx", missing his fam. in Canada & (2) Home Free's gorgeous "HOW GREAT THOU ART"-in the Austrian Alps & "CAN'T STOP THE FEELING" (Justin Timberlake)! Thx! :) 🎵
Simply Beautiful, I love all the sings, but this is my fav. from the EP.
I have only 1 word for this an that is GOOSEBUMPS
I'm totally not crying right now
Love seeing you two reacting together. 😊 Two of my favourite reactors. Thanks guys! I have to say, this wasn't one of my favourite tracks from the album, but your enthusiasm helped turn me on to it a bit more Phil.
Thank you, Nicole!
kinda thought when I saw two chairs I would see you both together today. Beautiful
Thank you so much for reacting to this. It is such a beautiful song. You're the best continue doing what you do May God Bless and be you always.

I loved the fact that Kevin got to show off his voice. :o)

I agree with your comparison :) Thanks for watching with us!
Did either of you notice Mitch flashing a quick smile (at 0:56 on the original video)? Talk about adorable.
RMoribayashi totally did, thanks for watching
my two favorite reactors of all time!!! with my favorite singing group. I'm obsessed with both
Jennifer Smith aww, thanks so much!

Michael DEAK thank you very much
Cool!
Kevin/Scott harmonies rocked this song. First time I've seen it so prominent in a video. And Kirstie's water harp notes, pure gems. Loved it.
Also adore both of you and your love for "classically" based music.
this definitely gave me Run To You vibes, especially with the particles falling around them. and the harmonies were similar to Valentine, too. I love that they gave it an Imogen Heap feel with those chords, & Mitch's Prince outfit? ♡
Totally Prince! You're right! lol

Ah yes! Both of you are so sweet, and I am so happy that you guys are watching this together! Keep it up you two!
Thanks!

Aw, thanks Jane! Scott's hand gesture pulled my focus too, but I guess I'm just used to him doing that. I agree, a little movement was just fine.

Thank you! We love collaborating too! I see the resemblance to the "Run to You" video also!
yaaayyyy so glad to see you both.
could it be that Kevin in this song did the singing so that it sounds more fuller
Definitely!
Lol, thanks erick!

I can't help falling in love with you BOTH.
SabrinaPTXtacy aww, thank you very much
*blushing*
In this age of over produced music, it's great to hear pristine music executed so beautifully.
Rob, You are such a pure soul and I love you for that ❤
you two are each so cute, on your own and this collab together is sweet.. thank you for your sincerity and openness .
Awe Phil and Rob together again! Feeling like a kid in a candy store. Something about this one reminds me of Valentine. Great reaction guys. :)
Thanks!
Thanks guys. Been waiting for your reactions 😀
Laura Cottom thanks, hope you enjoyed
I forgive you both for not posting yesterday when I needed it since you teamed up together for this.

I think they adapted their style to best fit the song and the mood they wanted to create, so beautiful! Thanks for watching!
