interesting that they destroyed drums heads for you. 🤔 as a kit player, my biggest concern is cymbals. I currently use Ahead sticks and love them for how forgiving they are on my cymbals. I'm definitely curious in the Techra's but really cautious about what they can do to cymbals.
In retrospect I think theres possibly an element of coincidence between some of the heads being older, and me being a hard hitter anyways haha. In terms of how they are with cymbals I've not seen any artists I know using them experiencing any problems. Woah I've just googled ahead sticks and they look really interesting, how do you like them? :)
@@JordanFerguson good to know! I'm still checking them out. Virgil Donati switching from Vater is a big deal and that's what caught my attention. I go back and forth btwn Vater and Ahead depending on the gig and what I'm playing. I love the Ahead sticks. They can be a little high maintenance with replacing the sheaths and gluing on the tips, but they are extremely consistent. Drop a stick? The next one will feel exactly the same as the other still in my hand. Factor in the cost of wood sticks now, replacing the sheaths one or two times and they paid for themselves.
