Better hope they started adding the check valve in the pump or it’s real fun to start. Had to buy a stock one and send it to DW for a check valve.
They did start putting them in and most places finally ran out of the old stock that didn't have them.

Mine is having trouble starting on hot starts. Could that be the check valve problem? And if so any info on how and where to put one on

Could be. But I'd check to make sure no hoses came loose too. DW has been good about warranty.

We do not and will never recommend a BAP. So we will not be doing an install guide.

Also do these cars or the 11-14 have any kind of pressure sensor for the fuel rail? I can't find one anywhere.
I believe its an inferred pressure. So no actual sensor no.
Does this fuel pump require a higher amp fuse or a different relay for it's additional amp draw?

Is there a need for a return system in these cars with this pump? Local shop tells me it will burn out quickly without a return system...is this pump overkill for a 500whp car?
This pump is perfect for a 500 hp car. Over 600 on E85 we suggest full return style systems.
I’m in SWFL do you guys do installs? 2020 Ford Mustang. I’m prepping for boost in the near future. I’m assuming this will work “stock” until my ESS comes in. I’m on 93/e85 rn.

When I installed mine, the car wouldn’t turn over. I looked over the install and everything looked good. U think it could be a defective fuel pump from DW?
Could be. Id remove it and bench test it. Then call DW if its dead.

Im having trouble getting the adapter hose disconnected. Any advice?

Nothing required from installing this pump. Not even a tune. But to run E85 yes you need a tune

Does this fuel pump help get more whp or trq? With a tune?
Not directly. It gives the car more potential and protects against failure. When you start adding things like an auxiliary fuel system/port injection and big turbo upgrades, its best to also upgrade the low pressure pump since the demand for fuel will be higher (especially when switching to E85). All that stress on the stock pump could kill it in my experience.
Not directly is correct. It just allows enough fuel to be supplied to make more hp.
@@automafiaracing hey by any chance you might know what my issue is on my 16’ Mustang Ecoboost I’ve been getting random misfires when usually flooring the gas on cylinder 1 & 4 and the check engine light comes on and off and my car shakes and after cruising a bit goes away any thoughts?
Send a log to your tuner and check the codes. Probably needs new spark.plugs

I'm installing a Vortech Supercharger and with a jms bap something is wrong at 5000 rpms, it's running lean. Would I need a bap with this fuel pump running a Supercharger?
That depends on a lot of stuff

Imagine thinking you need a fuel pump that can flow 650+hp on an NA v6. Or just about any stock turbo car out there... Even a coyote with boost can run up to 720whp on the stock fuel pump with a BaP. Lol, damn people have more money than brains.
an upgrade is needed for E85 on most cars. Also on these cars now with 150k+ miles the fuel pumps have gotten weak. We NEVER recommend a BaP as they have been known to kill pumps and then bam toasted engine. Plus the DW400 is cheaper then a BaP!
I never said to get a BaP. Just saying a BaP works very well, and they don't blow pumps. Have many friends who been running BaPs on their mustangs for 8+ years now with the factory pump making 600-680whp on e85 and well over 100k miles. My mustang on the other hand actually requires not only 1, but 2 big pumps as the car is making just over 1xxx whp. That pump you pulled out of the v6 tank is the same pump in the GT. There is no difference. A dw400 is on par with price with a bap, but the oem pump is a fraction the price of a dw400, works perfectly well with e85 as Ford made most of their cars ethanol safe. Again, imagine thinking you need a huge pump to make factory levels of horsepower.... lol
