A really interesting one at least on the pre refresh models is that there is a pony logo stamped into the underside of the hood in reverse so that when there is very light condensation on the hood, it forms in the shape of the pony logo.

One of my favorite hidden features (or at least it was hidden to me lol) of my 2019, is if you have your headlights set to "auto" and your windshield wipers set to "auto", when you encounter rain after a certain period of time that your wipers are working, your headlights will turn on automatically. This is great, especially in states that, by law, require you to turn your headlights on when it rains. Work smarter, not harder. Lol. 👍🏾
There's a extra hidden feature on the convertibles, tucked behind the left back seat cushion and the panel is a trunk release lock cylinder for your special key to unlock to access the trunk in the event of a dead battery or the electronic release not working.
These tips were good. I have seen other videos that showed another trick. The little cover just behind the door handle can be slid back and use the cars manual key to unlock the car manually.

Yeah given s550 is almost 9years old most of these are wel known at this point. But I still find that people end up learning a thing or 2 from this video lol
Works on earlier s550 models too all of these. I also agree it would be nice to put the windows up too.
Yup early ones have these too! Idk why ford left the windows up feature though you can do it in certain ford models
didn't know the sunglasses storage was for sunglasses. i put change and spare key to my truck in there. and I didn't know about the cup holder or the trunk release on the back
Yeah these little Easter eggs are amazing and make owning the mustang worth it!
Nice video. Thanks. I didn't know a couple of those! Very helpful
Yeah it’s neat Ford has added these little Easter eggs
Thanks bro, i just learned a few things about my 2015 mustang gt
Glad the video was helpful! You can upgrade the sync on your 2015 gt I’ve got videos on that too
@@Red5oh ima go check that out as well
The first one blew my mind lol. I’m so happy. Also didn’t even know about the other four. Pretty cool.
Yeah some of this stuff is pretty neat! Enjoy your stang even more now lol!
Just got my brand new Mustang thank you for this video! I literally didn’t know any of this 😂
Yeah it’s amazing all these Easter eggs that are found in our mustang. Congrats on your new car!
not gonna lie, I saw the hole in the cup holder while washing my car and assumed it was some dumb method of saving money. had no idea it did that lol
lol that would be some hilarious cost saving measurement!
This was great! The only one I knew about was the sunglass holder. The trunk release is great! Had my Mustang for 3 weeks.
Congrats on your Mustang! I’ve got more mustang content on the way. Any plans on mods or is that too early lol
Thank you! I’ve been wondering how to open my trunk without needing to use the key or of course the inside of the car. Great video!
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video. I am planning on making an updated video with all the hidden features
The turn signals also clip clop like horses
Yup that’s also true! I love the unique sound our indicators make
didn't know about the cup holder thing .... thanks a lot
Yeah it’s a life saver to charge the key fob! I have a video on how to unlock and start your car if your key fob battery dies that goes over the process in depth
All 5 tips were very helpful. thx
I’m glad you found them helpful! I’ll make an in-depth video on covering all the hidden features of S550
I’m sitting in mine just being surprised from every hidden feature 😂
Yes it's amazing how all these Easter eggs are there! I love these hidden features. I am planning on doing a video with all the hidden features in S550 Mustangs.
@@Red5oh the glasses one got me the most tho. I thought that was the fuse box lol turns out it’s on the passenger side
The opening of the windows with the key fob was the most interesting one. The charging of the key fob under the cup holder was a good one too.
So correction on charging the key fob. It allows you start the car but doesn’t charge the fob. I misspoke in the video lol
wait, you can recharge the fob???? My wife just got a 17 s550.... Interesting!!
I misspoke there sorry! It doesn’t charge but allows the car to start
I just read about it... its just a hole to let the computer know the key is there...
@Red5oh hey...we didn't know about the windows rolling down like that so thanks. Lol. Neat little feature. Also the remote start..
Thanks 5 yrs & Hidden features learned! 👍🤞
You're welcome! I am glad the video was helpful and you learned new things for your Mustang
bought a 2020 gt yesterday, thanks for the info lol !
Congrats on your new car! Manual or auto? I’m glad the video was helpful
Is it a manual…
Omg I'm so glad there's a trunk button 😩. Luckily I've only had my s550 for a week but i pissed it was key unlock only!
Yeah trunk button definitely comes in handy! Congrats on your Mustang! Which mustang did you get?
How do you open the trunk if your car battery dies?
You can use the manual key to open the door then then open the trunk from inside
Awesome video 👍 very useful 👍 hello from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 I love my Mustang 👍👍👍
Thank you! Glad the video was helpful What mustang do you have?
@@Red5oh 2016 2.3 litre eco
@@dauletramazanov4745 great car with tons tuning potential!
Thanks for sharing. I love your car. I think the red with black and red tail lights is a good combo. I believe overhere they all have transparent taillights. It works on some colors, but for red I prefer yours. 👍
Yeah I looked into Euro taillights too but I think with Red, the stock taillights go much better. If I had white, black or any other lighter shade then transparent lights would look good
The hole in the cup holder doesn’t charge the key fob.
You're correct. I misspoke there, I meant to say it allows you to start the car, but eventually battery would need to be replaced for the keyfob
@@Red5oh yea. It’s cool. No harm done.
Didn’t know about 3 of them. Thanks!!!
Oh nice! Glad I provided something new
Regarding the blinker, it could be a coincidence but it sounds like a slow gallop of a horse
Yup you’re right! They actually did that since the signal has to do the full sequential round so they slowed the blinker sound. It may be a coincidence but now it does sound like a gallop of the horse
Good video. Surprised you didn't mention being able to change the color of the gauges and cupholder in the settings
Yeah they do light up. I think most people who have premium probably know that but certain cool!
Thanks for the tips, I don't know about 4 of them 👌👍💲
That's awesome. Planning on making with all the hidden features on S550
Awesome video! I never knew there was a sunglasses holder or there was a hidden glove compartment section! Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed the video and learned something. Love the Easter eggs in s550 mustangs
Have you figured out the ford perimeter plus thing, like how to enable it yourself
Sorry not sure if I understand. What ford permit we are you referring to?
@@Red5oh I meant the ford perimeter plus, like the security alarm
@@sriavula are you in the US market?
@@Red5oh Yea I am!
@@sriavula sorry not sure as I don’t think I have heard of ford perimeter system
The fob and windows were new had no clue mine did that
Yeah windows are really helpful during the summer!
I didn’t know about the cup holder key 🔑 charger and the hidden compartment in the glove box appreciate that 💯👌🏾
Cup holder hidden key slot definitely surprised me the most!
I can't believe it actually charges the fob. I'll have to try that out.
@@russelllen8413 I do not think it charges it, usually it is for when the battery in the key fob is flat, you place key in that slot and the car will still start.
@@russelllen8413t doesn't charge the fob. It just senses it's there so you can start the car. The battery is not rechargeable.
Do all mustangs come with the pony hologram?
No you need to have a premium to have that unfortunately
thanks for the info, i had no clue. just bought my 2020 mustang yesterday and i love it so much! yours a badasss too!
Congrats on the new car! I’m glad the video was helpful
You need to use video stabilization for your handheld shots
Yeah in this video I used my dslr so it’s shaky. I use my phone or go pro nowadays so the videos are a lot more stable now. May get a gimble for my camera in the future
@@Red5oh don't even need to spend money on a gimbal. If you have the raw footage from this, throw it into your editing program and add stabilization. It'll be so much smoother.
Thanks for the nice video! Do you have any recommendation on mustang GT's dash cam? I just got my pony and want to install the dash cam for it.
Congrats on your Mustang! I honestly have never used a dash cam so personally can't recommend one, but most big brand ones should be great.
Thank you so very much wonderful
You’re welcome! Definitely interesting bits of owning a mustang
My vw is a 2001 and my 335 is a 07 and they both open the windows.. old tech my friend lol
Yeah definitely not new. My 06 mustang gt didn’t do it so it was new for me lol
thank you !!! that was 5 things I did not know!
Glad that was helpful! Now that s550 is coming to an end I’ll make an in-depth video on the hidden features
The hidden box in the glove box is for the glock glock
Lol hidden away but still within reach
@@Red5oh perfect lol
That was cool! Thanks!!
Yeah it’s got a lot of neat features!
Is the rear trunk spoiler bolted on or mounted with double sided tape?
It’s both bolted up and also had 3m tape. I have an in depth video on how to remove the spoiler so you can see how it’s held up. If you’re going for aftermarket spoiler it will most likely use screws and “3m” tape. I suggest getting a proper 3m tape for secure fit
thats a great video an veey helpful...thank you
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you found it helpful
Great vid
Thanks! Check out more videos on my channel on hidden feature on s550 and new mustang too
The blinker sound is a horse walking. The more you know!
Yup that’s true as well! Indicator is also delayed as it takes a bit of time for all three led bars to light up
Have a 2020 ecoboost mustang there one hidden key lock behind the left side Bach set. Do anyone know what it unlock or locks
Is it convertible by any chance?
I have a question. My 2014 Mustang used to beep twice if I lock the car and accidentally left a window open, a door ajar, or the trunk open. I can't get my 2017 Mustang to do that. Any ideas?
My 2019 does that I’m not sure if there’s specific setting. I thought it just came from factory like that. Have you tried looking into settings?
@@Red5oh I tried looking to settings and I even took it to the dealership. They can't figure it out either. Just like they can't figure out why the cigarette lighter charger stays on for 2 hours after you turn off the car
Great video bro 🐎🐎🐎
Thank you I appreciate you watching the video!
I have the basic model of the pony not the gt. I wanna know how I can auto my engine and instead putting the windows down I wanna turn the ac before I get in the car
You can remote start your car if it’s automatic. You have 2 options on what it does at start up. Either it will remember your last setting (ac/heat) or it will adjust it based on weather outside
@@Red5oh ohh thank you (:
@@ohhsilver27 of course! Hopefully that works for you
