Hello, I'm new here just cane across your video. I am having problems dealing with this issue of latency so i will try what you showed in the video to hopefully fix my issues. does the methods mentioned in the video work when recording multiple instruments and vocals at once? when my Band and I try to the drums have a ton of latency and the cpu is spiking in the red. We are trying to record as a band together to capture our practice sessions and we run the bass, 2 guitars and vocals through our interface and use plugins for amp sims and compressors and eq. then the electronic drum kit is directly plugged into the pc by usb. However, when I record stuff individually i don't have any issues recording. if you have any advice on this, I'm all ears. I am trying to create a recording template that will work so getting past these hurdles would be extremely helpful. Any how thanks for this video I am going to change a bunch of things and try again at my band's next practice soon.
@@avielmusicsg I am using a Scarlett 18i16. it turned out I had to use a midi cable from the drum module outport to the in port on the interface and set the buffer low I have it set to 48 and it started working. that plus I had to optimize my system more had too much stuff on my c drive. I moved that stuff to a new drive and now it's working smooth.
Hello, I have a question regarding the settings that attempt to resolve latency in Studio One. The LOW LATENCY INSTRUMENT MONITORING option disables (turns off) the WAVES, CLA NX plugin. Any ideas why this happens and/or how to fix it? (Sorry for my bad English, I used Google Translate)
Hi, I’m not sure what version on Studio One you’re using. Generally, Plug-ins that introduce more latency than 3ms are disabled. So it could be your Waves plug-ins has higher latency.

Hi David, can you share what audio interface are you using? Have you tried to change the buffer in Presonus?

@@avielmusicsg Hi, I'm using the Artist version for now. I understand your answer, thank you very much.
