    Rubber Plant Care Guide:
Light: Rubber Plants prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sunlight. Avoid placing them in low-light areas as this can cause leggy growth and reduced leaf size.
Watering: Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings, and then water thoroughly until the excess water drains out of the pot. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so be sure to let the soil dry out a bit between waterings. In the winter, reduce the watering frequency as the plant goes into dormancy.
Humidity: Rubber Plants thrive in high humidity, so consider using a humidifier or placing a tray of water near the plant to increase humidity levels. Misting the leaves can also help.
Temperature: Rubber Plants prefer temperatures between 60-75°F (15-24°C). Avoid placing them in drafty areas or near heating or cooling vents.
Fertilizer: Fertilize with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop fertilization during the winter months.
Pruning: Prune your Rubber Plant to control its size and shape and promote fuller growth. Pinch off new growth at the tips to encourage branching, and prune away any yellowing or damaged leaves.
Propagation: Rubber Plants can be propagated through stem cuttings. Take a 4-6 inch (10-15 cm) cutting with at least one node and remove the lower leaves. Dip the cut end in rooting hormone and plant in a well-draining potting mix. Keep the soil moist and provide bright, indirect light until new growth appears.
Pests and diseases: Watch for spider mites, mealybugs, and scale insects, which are common pests that can infest Rubber Plants. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Overwatering or high humidity can lead to fungal diseases, so ensure adequate air circulation and avoid overwatering.

Hi, thanks for the video. Ours sits on a window with some sun. Its started to lean over, any idea whats causing it? Ive tried to turn it but it never seems to straighten out.
Also, mines in a similar pot to you. When would you need to repot, or is it happy crowded ?

Your plant is leaning toward the light, most plants will do this when there is just one source of light from a window, you can aoid this by rotating the plant slightly every few days but if it is very bent over it might take a while for it to staighten up. They tend to grow long and leggy so you can also chop it back to create more side brances to create a more bushy looking plant, repotting is a good idea as it grows bigger as the nusary pots then d to be quite small.

My son just bought me a rubber tree robusta for Mother’s Day so thank you fir this video. It has some orange leaves , is that a sign it was under watered or stressed from shipping ? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you 🙏

There are some varieties of Rubber tree that actually have orange tinges to the leaves so it's hard to say, I would just find a nice bright location for it and see how it goes, the only thing they don't like is staying in wet soil for too long, otherwise I'm sure it will be fine. Let me know how you get on. Andy

They are called fungus gnats, use a product called Mosquito Bits, this will help get rid of them.
