Yeah. It kind of blows the narrative that F1 cars have to be so big due to driver safety. It’s also pretty funny that one of the main points when switching to the 1.6 V6 years ago was that they were physically smaller than the V8 or V10.
@cobra5032 fr.... I hate it when the argument comes up that technology has to be transferable to road cars too. Excellent graphics indeed. As much as I love F1 I like the WEC series as well though it doesn't get as much attention. I've followed it since way back in the early 90s when I was a kid seeing those Le Mans cars from Jaguar, Porsche and Sauber. I like the racing in it right from the WEC.
there are histories and information woven into these deconstructed 3d models, so much detail. but for some it's like trying to read a book when you're illiterate
This breaks my brain. With how paramount aero is in motor racing, how does an F1 car with every square inch of its bodywork meticulously crafted for top level efficiency against air resistance lose out or at least just match the performance of a car that looks like you can walk into any show room and buy? Granted power plays a big role here but the Porsche obliterated the F1 record around Spa.
The f1 is made of lightweight materials like carbon fiber, aluminum etc. This require constant maintenance and servicing which is very expensive. Hyper car engine are made with durable materials which can be expensive to maintain but wount levels a huge hole in your bank account like f1. And you won't need servicing after every drive like f1. WEC doesn't allow their hybrid system to deploy and add HP like F1 does. The amount of power is static throughout the entire WEC race as opposed to F1 where the driver can charge and deploy the electric motor for extra power for qualifying, overtakes, etc.

Coz hyper car has no rules nor restrictions, that certainly gives hyper cars more advantage
Ones rear end or axel is closer to driver and the other ones front end is longer.. so it's bit hard to tell which is faster.🤔😊💯
