I watched an episode or two on UA-cam’s rival platform ‘Daily Motion’ (you might want to look that up and consider uploading on it too - monetisation is instant - haven’t done it myself). I did find it more absorbing. It was more like a screen play. I didn’t like the caveman episode which was about 3 in, though. They perfect modern English spoken by the ancients was too distracting for me to be able to suspend my disbelief! X
Very nice vlog guy's. That American section looked like it could've been the Canadian Section as well & I'm jealous that you still have HMV there it's been closed now for awhile here
Good job for holding onto your birthday money for so long, Izzy! Oh, it's your carousel zebra!! I've never seen a carousel with stairs. I've also never seen baby corn that big and sold in packages like that! The American section in the store was nothing but junk food, which means it was a really accurate representation of what people eat here. Haha. Excellent vlog, Imo. And Izzy's new shoes are lovely.
We were in synch with our beastly, ferocious zebras! Those baby corns were delicious. I bought them for Izzy really, but she turned her nose up at them and I ended up scoffing the lot!
Good luck for her exams 😊 It was raining here all morning... U saw me in d mountains.. Lol but now d sun stretches through again. We lost d heatwave... I mean... Summer. Lol Have a awesome day 👌🏼😊✌🏼♥️✌🏼
Hey guys. Sure is a scorcher this week....we are are currently melting! Hope your mock exam went well Izzy....you seem a pretty cool customer about it all. Good to see you buying some old school Dr Who and your new shoes look cool. Great to hear that you will both be off to France in the summer....where will you be going?x
Hallo! Shoe shopping's about my least favourite thing too. I like a bit of heat but anything over about 32c /89.6f is a bit too much. Everything's more fun when you make a vlog out of it, though! ;¬)
Great footage and commentary! I always have a giggle when people from the UK complain about the heat. You probably shouldn't visit Australia between Oct to March, lol. Great channel. New sister here.
Hee hee! I had a cracking comment from someone in Delhi the other day say what a nice not-to-hot day I was having. Having a UA-cam channel helps get things in perspective.
We love that you got the info on the heatwave from the children's BBC channel, probably more accurate than the adults one, haha. When you first suggested a mock donut we both thought of the long donut with mock cream down the centre and covered in icing sugar, but then we had the same reaction as Izzy when we clicked you meant an imaginary donut 😲😂 Izzy's new shoes look fantastic by the way, as did those cherries, yum!
What temperatures are we talking about, in the day you vlogged? We also have a large variety of Pastéis de Nata over here: apple and cinnamon, walnut, pumpkin and even savory ones, with tuna or alheira. They're just not as widely available as the originals. I liked that that shop wrote "pastel de nata" in Portuguese instead of custard tart. : )
I think it was top 20's in the shade but roasting in the sun. We're not used to it. We spend most of the year wet and cold and with a lot of cloud cover so really, it's a tremendous novelty. It's a delight to be able to dry laundry outside for days on end and get some proper bright daylight. I didn't know the different flavoured pasteis were in thing in Portugal! I thought it was just catering for the British market. I don't know what the Belem monks would have thought of it. :¬D
I don't think the monks would be rolling in their graves because of it. : ) Everyone can make Pastéis de Nata, and from just about anything, but only one bakery can make Pastéis de Belém. ; )
That cheese thing looked fantastic. I used to be a beast on dispatching glazed donuts into my insides. Hope this sample trial exam thing proved instructive. It must be somewhat disorienting to be flying out in the ether and then get some sort of "objective" handle you can grab onto to see how things are going. My mother taught me to read when I was three but the math more or less had to come through the public (US) school stuff -- basically just overblown arithmetic until I cajoled one of the high school physics teachers to teach me first year algebra so I could skip it and go straight to second year algebra when I was in year nine. (Yeah, that was in 1965.) I do hope this sale thing goes well for you on this house.
A pasty! You're not the first American to comment on the pasties.... one person was asking what one was. I'm considering filming a load in a pasty shop especially! Ha ha! Yes - a bit of external feedback can be very reassuring for both of us. We use an online video/exercise/worksheet curriculum for maths which gives instant feedback with errors. I think we're just about where we should be with that one. She suddenly seems to be getting more confident with that after years of resistance to it. Phew!
I had the same experience at university. I had put a large flow sheet up for Qualitative Analysis on my room wall and stared at it and stared at it and -- after seven weeks, just in time for the exam -- it all clicked into place. It's just Solubility Constants, Joe. Think about everything that way and it's easy.
I did French for two years in high school. Was a terrible student but remembered enough when I first went to France. People were positively rude in response (it was Paris). They treated the French Canadian we were with even worse. Second time I went, I went in with a different attitude and refused to speak French and even refused to speak English at times (spoke Maori instead). Had a great time, got on much better with locals 😂
That's odd. I wonder why? When I first spoke very basic Portuguese in PT to natives, anyone who could switched straight to English. I think it must have been frustrative for them to go at my pace.
Fun shopping trip. I was so bothered when you showed the rack of American Products because they are some of the worst things you could put in your body. You selected right with vegetables and fruit. In some of America's stores there is no need to walk down most Isles because the food content is so poor. The stores I shop at are not mainstream but more organic with a large vegetable selection. One nice thing that I have found living near Mexico is the proper ingredients to make most Mexican dishes are all great vitamin nutritious food. So eating Mexican food is a treat.
I haven’t eaten a lot of Mexican food. I bet I’d really love it! Most of what I eat is dictated by Izzy’s millions of allergies and sensitivities so Spicy’s off the menu unless I cook separately. That American isle was not the best portrayal of your culture, to say the least!
Thanks for sharing my friend
Beautiful video
Margeot from Sicily
Thanks. X
The first Doctor Who was easily the best. It is nice that Izzy obviously likes them, despite being in black and white.

Oh, sorry to hear about your HMVs. That was Izzy’s first experience of it and, as you can see, she rather enjoyed it!
Looked a scorcher, it's starting to cool down a bit here now, don't mind a few cooler days though. 👍
Cooling down here a little, too. It’s a comfortable mid 20’s atm. X

Ha ha! Hopefully we still have some summer left! :-) Thanks for stopping by, Lonewolf. X

Ahh we will keep the precise location as a surprise, as one does on these family vlogging channels. ;-) You’ll have to wait and see. X
Intriguing stuff!!😲 Good luck with the sale👍
Hope there are no more heat waves in future. At least you enjoyed shopping!
I'm quite enjoying this one, it makes a nice change from cold and wet. x
a nice cool mall is always a welcome respite when it's really hot out :)
Agreed!
I always pick peanut butter flavored. Shoe shopping is what I almost like less than anything.
Heat is not for me.

Imo and Izzy oh so true...I tell our kids find the good in everything.. it is there even when you think it's not.
Those pastries look so appetizing !!!!!
They were lovely! X
So fun!! Great vlog! 😊
Thanks! x

Ha ha! Izzy was not keen on the mock doughnut concept. I’m not keen on those synthetic cream ones. X
Tash isn’t a fan of it either, but I can’t get enough it, lol.

I love how the American section is nothing but junk food hahaha
Yes, not the best representation! The only American I know well eats very healthily!
Haha it's a stereotype. I think our primary issue in the states is how much we eat. We really do have massive portions!
awwww such tiny feet haha! hope you are enjoying the weather!
She’s pretty small for her age! It definitely has its perks from time to time. Thanks so much for watching. X
We are having a heat wave in New York at the moment. Can't wait till the fall.......... lol
I’ve been enjoying it! I’m dreading it going all UKish again! X

Okay, I'm going to start a video, it may take a long time to complete, but we are going to a show on TACOS and Mexican food.
Foist thumbs up 👍
Congratulations!
Hope the exam went well :)
I think she was pleased with it and it highlighted an area for improvement. She has the real thing soon. Thanks so much for watching. X
Wish here good luck :)
Mmmm I loved that doughnut (donut)!
I know you did!
Mmm Twinkies. They give me a headache but still..
Oh dear! Additives?
5:46 I thought "Look out, another burp coming" lol! xx
There was a quiet one, but quite visible in the picnic part of the Llangrannog vlog.... BUUUUUUURRRPPP! x
Imo and Izzy Lol! xxx
we liked the tiger best...
Hee hee! Excellent choice! X
Are you trying to say the French are full of hot air or something? 😂🇫🇷🍟
Ho ho!
537 new friend here & nice video
Thanks x
Wow tiny feet Izzy. Big feet are overrated. 👣
They so are.
