I'm a bit gutted I tried to do the Walk Highlands Buachaille Etive Mor route backwards. So I walked through the glen then tried the steep accent, on my own, up Allt Coire Altruim I think? I had to turn back. About 7-800m there is a horrific rocky slippery accent, which is fine coming down when you can slide on your arse, but it's not good solo free climbing upward. Really annoyed with myself. I tried to avoid the busy route. I'll just stick to the known route and directions until I am more confident.

    • @largeformatlandscape

Supposedly there’s a line you can take to the left of the stream which avoids the slippery rocks which are still horrible in descent
