Scotland is just so spectacular! Nothing beats getting close to nature and truly enjoying the peace and quiet in the Highlands. Also... Pizza for breakfast.... HELL YES!
@@Professionalmoochers I bet it does, we went a couple of years ago but didn’t go as far down as the car park as we just wanted to find the James Bond spot. Probably one to avoid during the summer months
Great start to a video Profs. love it. Well done. Beautiful scenery through the Vlog too. We are so excited to get back into Scotland and explore more. 👍
Stunning landscape, captured so well. Hope you are ok Sarah. ❤️ Bloody Covid, we are in the throws of it too, in Melbourne. Thank you for this video. I have missed you.
Hi, we’ve had a notification to say you’ve commented on our most recent video but UA-cam comments are having issues right now. If you can repost your comment on our recent video we’ll try again. Thanks 👍🏼
@@Professionalmoochers The midges are horrendous. I think the worst we had them was at that big waterfall below Loch Na Gainmich. You can park by the lake but the midges were unbearable. Couldnt open the van door 😅
They’re relentless! Our dog was eaten alive on the exposed bits around his eyes. Never again! We’ve always fancied moving to the Lake District but that may change when we finally get to visit Norway 😉
Can’t believe I’ve only just found your channel now, it’s absolutely superb! New subscriber, easy choice. Loved all the time lapses, shots & drone work. Can’t beat a Maccies breakfast, set you up perfectly for the day and taste good anorl. 😆 Hoping your camera was alright? Seen that ship wreck on a few other peoples videos, nice spectacle as you say. Will binge through your videos, superb. All the best - Cheers Joe. 👍🏻🏔
Stunning shots there guys, really nice. If we’d have gone to see that ship wreck last week which we thought about doing, we have seen you guys! We were in the area at the same time we think. Glad you enjoyed Glen Etive in the winter, it gets quite busy on that road in the summer - with humans AND midgies 😧
You’d have also gotten wet 😂 We’ll never visit the highlands in summer, purely because of the midges! We did it in spring a few years ago, never again. Poor dog got eaten alive. Thanks for checking in 🙏🏼
Thanks very much 🤩🤩 We’re very camera shy in public so when we’re in the wild, it’s easier to use a better camera and microphone. I’m mainly using a Sony A6600 with a Sigma 16mm F1.4 prime lens. Bought it for low light photography but it seems to work well for video. Cheers for watching 🙏🏼
Hi, I also love to go wild camping. Here in The Netherlands it is easy. And not a lot of people are doing it. In England (and the UK) it is a lot harder to find a spot. Is there a website with good and nice places to park for one night with a camper van? Really like your canal. Best regards, Nynke
You’re right, it’s very tough in England, a lot easier in Scotland. I’d probably suggest Park4Night to find overnight parking. We just have to be discreet and be gone early in the morning. Thanks Nynke 🙏🏼
We stayed there when we first got our van and managed to camp in the valley but sounds like the anti fun police now have signs all the way down - great video guys
Scotland certainly is vanlife perfection! Some stunning scenery there and the loch reflections. Love the night sky shot that was pretty impressive. Look forward to seeing where you take us next. ATB to you all (especially Oscar! 😍). Sue.
Beautiful shots of the stunning landscape and the night photography was amazing. Well done for braving the wet weather to see the ship wreck. Great to see Oscar out and about. Happy New Year 🍾😀
Thanks very much 🤩 It’s an amazing landscape, we just can’t get enough of Scotland. Hopefully we’ll have a few relaxed camping trips in the near future where the chocolate hunk can join us 😍 Happy new year to you both too.
It was really dark and it sounded like someone was creeping up on us, flicked the torch on and there was this beautiful beast feasting on the grass! Thanks for your comment 🙏🏼
@@Professionalmoochers haha beltin, not got out much yet, bit worried about this clean air zone thats due to be forced on us in Greater Manchester, going to cost us £10 a day just to drive the van anywhere so were not sure what to do yet, may have to sell it as £70 a week just to go shopping and normal day to day stuff is a bit much.
Thanks Paul! I was tempted to join you after seeing the trip on Facebook but we were on a European road trip. Looks like we may have been slightly more fortunate with the weather but I guess that always gives us a reason to keep returning to such awesome landscapes. Cheers for checking in 🙏🏼
Well done Scousers, your the only mob from England that can pronounce the Scots words right. It’s not too bad, is it ? Ps ….. ssssh. Everybody will come here and spoil it……..
Using a vehicle and parking in laybys and carparks is not "wild camping" - maybe you should familiarise yourself with the wild camping rules in Scotland. The unspoiled views of the Scottish Highlands are being ruined by the constant stream of campervans parked up in every flat space.
We know it’s not strictly wild camping and, we do wild camp on summits in our tent too but, who knows what you call it? You’re also correct in that, some landscapes are potentially spoilt by numerous vans parking up which is why we try not to park close to anyone else. It’d take a lot more than a few vans to ruin the Scottish landscape as one of the most beautiful on this planet. I also know a number of hikers who hate seeing tents set up, high in the beautiful mountains of Scotland and the rest of the UK, they say they put all that effort in to enjoy the landscape at its wildest yet, some choose to change that landscape by erecting a tent (especially when it’s bright red) but, these places are there for all to enjoy, including us. If everyone from all walks of life choose to respect the landscape then, it’ll stay beautiful long after we’ve gone, don’t you think?
@@Professionalmoochers I do agree and respect your response - I think all the users of the Scottish countryside will need to start showing it some respect before we loose our wonderful right to wild camp. I go on record as disliking campervans, however I like the cut of your jib and have subscribed to your channel - the campervan community needs more people like you two!
We better be on our best behaviour from now on then 😉 It goes for everywhere to be honest. If too many good people populate somewhere, it creates an eyesore. If only a few idiots congregate, the consequences could be even worse. This is why we try to escape when we can but living on an overcrowded island, we rub shoulders with all kinds. Thanks for joining us anyway and I appreciate your comments 👍🏼
