Corned beef and onion sarnies are my hill favourite and generally followed with wee Melton Mowbray pork pies cut in half with brown sauce in the middle then wrapped in foil.
Another great video, thank you- you never fail to please ! Gerry’s 180 commentary was impressive- such encyclopaedic knowledge really adds to the enjoyment. Thanks again.😃❄️🏴❤️
I can honestly recommend trying to get up there.. I've been 4 times so far, it's a long journey from one end of the country up to the other but ohhhh so well worth it,I loved every second.. even spending 10 days camping when it rained every day lol.. the views are totally awesome.. Glencoe is magnificent.. the history and the majesty of those mountains will stay in my heart forever .

Absolutely brilliant again gentlemen. I don’t know if Gerry missed them out on purpose but I’m sure that way in the distance I could make out the great peaks of Stob Coire a Pork Pie and Sgur na Scotch Egg, with Ben Mac Irn Bru Jelly Baby a little further north! Thanks for sharing your day again, and what a stunner it was. 😀🥾🏔️🌞🏴
So magical it is what your doing, I really appreciate being able to walk alongside you, as I cannot anymore for myself, I miss it so so much, thank you from the deepest part of my heart . Old owl 🦉 alaya uk. My heart forever in the highlands.
During the winter of 87-88 (my first winter in the hills) me and some pals glissaded (bum slid) off the wee bealach almost to the track of the WHW. Maybe the only time I've been back in the pub for lunch! Never to be repeated now I'm cusping 60, and live in Tasmania!!
Another adventure with the brilliant Three Musketeers....a beautiful video of glorious landscape....as Gerry said it was stunning...as for the great Scotch Egg v Pork Pie debate....I like Scotch Eggs and my wife lives pork pies ...no problem at all and we've been married 40 years...however Mark can't sit on the fence lol..Best wishes from a Scotch Egger
Had a day like that when we went over to Loch A'an in the Cairngorms. Total pea-souper heading up to the Coire Cas car park. Within a few hundred metres we were above the inversion and had crystal clear skies all day. Did Route Major on Carn Etchachan then wandered back over the plateau. The following day was more typical - walking on a bearing through a whiteout over to Hell's Lum
Smashing video! I’ve climbed several of the peaks in the panorama - always wondered how to pronounce Stob a Choire Odhair, I thought it might be a bit like ‘oar’ - but so far not Beinn Dorain. Driven and walked past it but never up it. Perhaps the view coming out of Tyndrum is a bit too intimidating. I’ve watched several Appalachian Trail videos and thought I knew what a ‘flip-flop-er’ was, but now I realise it’s someone who covers all bases by carrying both scotch eggs and a pork pie! Incidentally Tesco’s owe you, sponsorship, unlimited scotch eggs etc.,…….😂
Belter Murray, what a day! Gerry’s knowledge of the peaks is encyclopedic!! Pork pies and Scotch eggs are both a worthy mountain snack, but you gotta get a steak pie in there for full satisfaction 😀
Gosh! You can see for miles from the luxuriant mountain Beinn Dobhrain on a clear day. Great weather (if freezing) for your hike. Thanks for taking us with you as always. 😁
Fantastic! I am from the Gaeltacht in south west Ireland -Dingle and Jerry brought me back a few moons when he registered the hills. A wee memory of myself and my grandad sitting in Paroiste Mór and he was doing exactly what Jerry was doing, passing on the knowledge of the mountains. It’s amazing these days that so few of us actually know any of their majestic names. Thanks to you all. Lovely video!
1 of the 1st mountains that took my breath away and a day I’ll never forget 😮 i was on my way to Glencoe but was a day or 2 away making the most of my weekend i took the train to Corrour to visit the trainspotting location (bridge) i was in awe of the mountains on that journey up and when i seen Ben Dorain i said to myself and my friend who i was meeting at Glencoe to do The Buachaille for the 1st time that i had to go back to summit this mountain and did eventually just before the winter set in a mountain that i always call out to myself when passing by with a smile Ben Dorain i shout 😊 it’s a cracker and yous got a great day for it i still get ever so excited making that journey up from Fife Lochearnhead - Crianlarich - Tyndrum - Bridge of Orchy - Glencoe it is a very special road again respect for letting Gerry do the 180 I’m pretty sure that you know all these mountains as well as him but it’s a great part of your vlogs to look forward to step forward Gerry it’s all yours fantastic knowledge 👏 well done guys a great short winters day up on the mountains 🏔️ and although small B O O is a very special little place too 🤩 thanks for sharing David
Enjoyed this one. Jerry pointing our distant mountains and enjoying the sunny conditions. You’re right, you just have to make the most of those perfect days.
Absolutely stunning day for a seize the day adventure. Driven past there for year and always wanted to walk it, think it’s time to do. It was great to have the opportunity to have the 180 degree footage and to have a detailed description of the mountains too. Big thanks Murry 👍👍
Those views were glorious and the weather looked as good as it gets for January,. The way Gerry was stombing up those inclines it's clear those Scotch eggs have given him a boost😁💪👍.
Brilliant Murray😁👍..Absolutely incredible views 😍👌🏻.. Beinn Dorain is such an amazing mountain..When driving past Dorain it always hypnotises me..I just can’t take my eyes off it..Top video. Cheers Robert
Quite excellent as usual Sir. I've still got do that hill and reminded myself as I drove past on my way home today after a night at Loch Dochard..🥶... Gerry is clearly pandering to you.. he'll never change.. I am obviously a pork pie man however, I do enjoy a Scotch egg.. that said, my egg froze last week in Glencoe. Either... a little brown sauce is required.. Thank you for sharing... 👌

I was in Glencoe just last week, i got some tremendous photo’s that I’d love to share. thanks again Murray for the inspiration to visit our own back gardens.
The battle of the scotch egg vs pork pie continues, and, what a back drop for it!🤩🤣🙌. This really was a special kind of day, you don't get too many of these. Excellent views, Murray. Jerry is a walking encyclopedia of the Scottish landscape. I enjoyed learning all about the Lomond area back in June when we were out on the loch. I still owe him a pint for that....🤣🍺
Super hike that Murray., Thanks to you guys for sharing your adverture, and geographic knowledge. Living on the other side of Strava and Cruachan l see them every day. Yesterday they had heavy snow on them and looked wonderful in the bright sun. Take care lads Alioban x
When the sun hits the mountains,it is so beautiful! Gerry really knows the mountains and their names I can imagine how good it feels to put on an extra layer of warmth as your near the top of the mountain! Another nice video with friends ! Take care 🇨🇦❤️
This mountain got me in to hillwalking. Any time I would drive up towards Glencoe and turn round the corner on the road to reveal Beinn Borain i was mesmerised by just how utterly cool it looked dominating the landscape. Finally got to climb it a couple years ago and was one of the best days on the hills!
Belting video Murray, the cinematography from 7 minutes in with the mountain range and moon in the distance followed by the moody, misty snow shots, simply stunning. And it reared its head again but this time Scots eggs clearly won out. As always thanks for another cracker and until next time stay safe
Amazing Murray, fantastic conditions! Few & far between at this time of year 😂 Perfect timing as I am planning this either tomorrow or Friday, looks great, don’t think I will get as calm a day as you though!
Absolutely love your productions Murray. Incredible views from up there and I’ll need to get up there to see it for myself. As I mentioned a while back, I am a tour guide for a wee Scottish company that sounds similar to Tabbie’s and I always send people your way to get higher views of the roads I take them along. The humour and dry wit yourself and Gerry always display makes me laugh too, I love it. If a guy in a wee white mini coach beeps the horn it will probably be me 👍🏼😎

I hiked up this mountain when I was fifteen while on holiday in Scotland. I asked my dad if I could do it by myself.
