I have never seen such an artist, respecting his aging and aging of the voice. OF course, he was a human only. His battle with the Italian repertoire is interesting. He lost in selected parts because the part was too heavy for his voice. On contrary, he practically won also in this field. I love selected recordings (I Puritani). He was able to deliver emotions. He was exceptional. I can hardly spot anybody with such musical feeling and beauty in the voice. - Neverending admiration.

Sheer delight,,and Nicolai Gedda's fluency in Russian is obvious. What artistry !
