This is a great video! Just tinted the back window on my 2009 TSX using this video. It came out perfect! I used precut Llumar CTX file. Your tip on letting the dryer sheet dry all the way before placing the tint on and then making sure all the fingers are vertical made all the difference.
A professional makes difficult things look easy.
Its not difficult fr took me 1 full consistent month before this video
theres always that ONE guy
@@wetae6406 i never did tinting and they turned so good
A amateur makes easy things look difficult
i feel like the hardest part is taking the tint and putting it on the inside...idk how u do this by yourself but props to u man!
Jeez dude nice job, and i thought applying the screenprotector to my phone was hard ahah
ricerust Others seemed to get the guy's comment except for one single latent homosexual like yourself.
hahaha... same here!
that was the first thing that came to my mind
Damn this is old haha. Still valid though lolol
Orlando Moran
lmao
I did this with a hair dryer. No creases just took forever as I had to hold the dryer right up against the tint which caused it to overheat a couple of times (I really need to invest in a heat gun). I’m happy to say my first attempt came out perfectly with no creases at all. Thanks
You learn something every day. Today I learned to cut the plastic on the outside first.. I always had problems with the corners before.. Now i know why :)
You are my Hero!!
Those headrests were super high and you got that tint in there and worked around them. wow.
I remove the headrests. Even one's that aren't removable will come out, you just need to know where the c-clip is and shove a hanger down in there.
Yo man thanks alot. I started using your method with the hard card and now my shrinking is 100 times faster. I shrank a 95 saturn back window today with this method and i was pretty freking impressed. Shout out to you man you are a great tinter!!!
just did mine a couple mins ago for the first time ever, used a blowtorch instead of a heat gun (i dont own one) and it came out okay! thank you for an easy to follow video.
Thanks a bunch for the videos. Im prettt mechanically inclined and i do a bunch of work on my vehicles my self but tint has allways been one of those things that i would never attempt my self but after watching your videos and having you explain how its done. I definitely have the confidence to tint my windows my self
...you make this look so easy!
I wish you were closer to do this task I have burdened myself with!
its amazing how some people do it in section and it takes twice the time but Matt you know what your doing and are very technical at doing it. nice
Thanks for the video. I followed same procedure on my saab and worked perfect. First time tinting.
These vids are awesome man. Ive been tinting for 6 months now and every night i get o youtube to see what i can do better. To the people that are asking what temp to run the heat gun, i run mine on the hottest it can go. But you have to be carefull. Burning tint can easily be done. Mess around with the setting on yoiur gun and see what you feel comfortable with! The hotter, the faster the tint will shrink and can have a higher chance at creasing.
Sorry for answering your question even though it wasn't addressed to me. I think he does it the same way just cuts out excessive film from outside using the light from inside 1:08 and then from 2:13 to 3:15 and when you are done shrinking just go along the edges of the stop light. It's just a guess. I can be wrong but i would do it this way.
Awesome. It's the little tricks which make the proffessional. Always wondered why my windows looked like ass. Was just getting ready to do my 2 suburban rear quarter windows and they'r e huge. This will make all the difference. Thx.
No bubbles!!! Looked soo easy. I know its not gonna be when I do it!. But thanks!! Great Job!!!!
I have been studying this vid and your technique and I finally got a good shrink on the top half of my car, got it to lay down perfectly flat all around.
I'm doing it in two pieces and now the bottom is giving me problems. I think it's creasing because I'm hitting the tint that isn't hot yet. Maybe going a lil to fast.
This video helped a TON though. I'm still working at it.
Hey great vid, I watched this over and over a year ago and tinted my whole car with a roll of llumar and it came out great! I had to do the rear window three times before I was completely happy with it haha a year later and it all looks good and is holding up great. Thanks tint dude
11 years old and still a great video. thanks.
Thank you ! And cause you gave me great advice I’ll give you some Try removing the head rests next time
At first it seemed like "what the fuck this kid is doing?" But after seeing the result, HOLY CRAP! Stunning job!
JufeFilms ikr I was like wth. But it looks great I’m taking my car in to be done tommorow 199.00
you make tinting look way too easy. awesome job!
Thank you for your help. Wanted to pull my hair out till tour video helped me. Learned alot.
This is the exact car that I’m tinting tomorrow for my sister 😂 thank you for the vid
thanks for the video and the explanation of how to shrink the back window. I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow.
The windslied same thing but after heating the film wait for the glass to cool down because it can shader if you spray water and insted of a dryer sheet try the bar soup it works so much better
So simple and such good work... Glad I saw this! Now I'm ready to give it a try.
This was a very good video. You were specific about what needed to be done. And sped up the parts we did not really have to see. Great job. 👍
Wish I would have watched this before going through a roll a tint. Thank you will try again soon
You make it look easy. Thanks for the tips. I've gone through several rolls but am getting better.
Finally a short and to the point video. awesome.
506 people couldnt see the Like button through all that epic tinting.
really very useful back window is the hardest part to do thanks
With this video I just saved about 200 much needed bucks. Great vid on how to do this!
I would have never contemplated this myself but to pay to have someone do it was too costly and after watching you, I think I can! I will let you know how it goes.
I am a tinter. I need almost a year to get good result. good luck..
+kurunai sansiro I'm not a tinter. Did it with professional quality in 2 hours. You're a slow learner
Good Job, I wire wool all my back windows to avoid the peanut type bubbles on the heater lines.
how do you wire wool tints??
Yo man very good video. I have been tinting for 5 years and i have always used a glove with baby powder h pattern. Im going to give the dryer sheet and hard card a try after watching you do that. Thanks for the vid man and keep it up!!
been a while, glad i watched another video to remind me how to do it properly so I won't mess or jack up the window tint.
Cool I was confused about where to cut cause of the dot matrix and any other videos I watched told you exactly where and how much to cut, so thank you for sharing awesome job 🤙🤙
The light trick is great. I was wondering how i was going to see where to cut. I was going to do it the super hard way with measuring. I have a 2015 200s and the bottom was going to be difficult as it has curves. But this was will make it easy. Thank you.
Ima tint my own Windows it's better than paying for it. You did. A Great Job dude!🙂
corey Winston stupid nigga
And it’s fun.
Man.. you make it look easy. pritty boss if you ask me, shur givin me confidence to tackle my back window.
Am going to tint my back window! Woo hoo. I did the rest of windows fudged up, but...it blocks the sun! I feel confident to fudge up the back window. Top of My front windshield tint I did with many pieces of tint connected like a jig saw puzzle for a masterpiece Frankenstein job. Picaso would like it.( Remove so called fingers with a tiny butane torch). NIKE would say, just do it. I May upload a video with my results. It will give u confidence lol
one the best clips, simple short and straight forward.
Make sure the shampoo is not added too much, you need to make sure that there is more water. In other words, try to make the solution you mixed lighter instead of thick. See if that helps? Mine worked out fine on my Audi A6. I bought mine pre-cut from eBay so this process really took me only 1hr as first time trying.
This guy is a natural at this
you place the tint on the outside and use a heat gun so you can get the full contours of the back window. thats just what i think :)
I hate you. i'm older than dirt and have tried to do this 100 times and mess up every time and you make it look so easy. J/K dude your good
I'm gonna try it soon an my Audi a5 but I am nervous about damaging the car.
nice vid tho, thanks
JKang530, one reason is so that you don't burn any upholstery, another is cuz its actually easier to cut the film from the outside so you don't hit any defroster lines which can cause you to be frustrated not being able to defrost, condensation or even ice. At least that's the way I learned it some 18 yrs ago..
you really good bro, you make tinting look like boiling water. i hope i can take your tips and be as good as you. good work
Pretty cool. Not sure how I even got to this video but I have never known how tinting was done. I have had plenty of cars tinted but never knew the process.
I am struggling so hard with the shrinking. Idk if I'm going to hot or not hot enough but my fingers kept appearing behind where I've already stretched
Refer to my channel AA4Yuo I've made a video on this
Thanks for making it look way easier than it actually is...
This video is very good, thanks. I tried with a hair dryer the first time and didn't work : (, but with a heat gun...Great Success : D....Thanks once again
hmmm, seems i have to get one
side window was easy but back window is much more dificult
thank you
Genau das habe ich auch gedacht. Vor allem sagt er ja selbst dass man aufpassen muss
um nicht die Kopfstützen zu berühren.
Amazing Video!! Cant thank you enough for your videos. You are helping millions of people!!! I wish you the best in all of your endeavors
Good jod, made transferring the sheet inside the car look so easy (didn’t even remove the headrests). What was the tint. A lot of cheap stuff out there that creases and can’t be removed
I put this on my sons truck came out great but I can't stand this stuff, I did my opera windows on my Grand Marquis and that's where I stopped LOL I'll bring it to you for the rest. LOL you did a great job!
Great video! Got this done today at the Honda dealership. However after l left lifted my trunk & saw some water/moisture in there. Of course, called the dealership & claimed it wasn't 'unusual' & legit didn't seem too concerned but just wanna sure if that is a semi common thing to happen?
you SOB, this is a brilliant way of doing tint, thank you so much for posting this video. kick ass.
2021
The first amateur guy who tinted my back window burned the back of my seat by taking the heat gun in the car and setting it down. Didn't pay him or seen him after that. Got it professionally done yesterday for $180 and I couldn't be happier. :)
Excellent tint job and I hope I can do this 😊
I bought some from eBay that came precut for my vehicle. I think it was at 25%, the legal limit in TX. I just got to put everything on. I need to get those tools you used in your vid or something similar.
I can only echo prev ious comments ~ you make this look easy!
I am much happier paying an expert to do this.
You made this look easy, I know imma mess it up
Ha! -I know this is a bit "old" by most folks, but Dude, you do some great work.
And your vids are Quite helpful. THANK YOU! Cheers!
You make it look so easy. I’m on second roll and still can’t get it right. Oh well, keep on practicing 😛
Great vid! I messed up a few back windows in the past. I got the sides down. But the back its a bitch!. My problem was not shrinking on the outside of back window good enough. If you don't have it flat and shrunk on outside, you'll never get it to fit an lay down on inside!. Also I needed to get a bulldozer to get behind the back light, an side swiper to fit bottom on either side of the back window. I was just using a squeegee that was rubber and small. Tks for making this!
Dam you made it look so easy, i messed up a bunch of times trying to tint my back window
my bad , sry i`ve just stooped in the middle and did not seen the last part. I`ve got carried away. Now i saw that you did a good job ! and i gave you a like for that !
Hey, thanks:) I have Tint many windows and rear windows are crap:/ Now I'll try what you did there on my car:) this is probably a bit more easily;)
Frkin amazing...u r da man, I wish you would be living near by, you would get my business for sure!
Subbed!! I don’t subscribe to many people, you’re thorough and informative.
Thanks for the great videos. You make it look so easy.
great video man you ate a good tinter ive been tonting for 6 yeats and i use a glove and finally tried it with a gold card wow much so much fasyer thamls
good video very detailed and thanks for the dry sheet tip. will try to do my windows this summer. thanks.
Wow u made it look so easy . Thanks . Those back windows give me hell
good quality video. very informative, to the point, and your speaking was easy to understand.
this guy is good. i recommend him.
It will be very helpful if you could upload a video showing how to tint a curved back window. i am an amateur and i want to learn from you... the professionals of tint stufff
Do i really have to tint both sides of rear window?
Do i really have to use heatgun?
I must buy one. Just dont have it atm.
you make it look easy
This video was much more helpful I did a way better job because they didn't explain how to do the h pattern with the tint making it easier to shrink the wrinkles out thanks a lot
you NEVER use a blade on safety glass, you will scratch it. Use a marker and then cut it with scissors. Plus you can remove those rear head rest very easy so you don't hurt your back.
very helpfull video ive tinted lots of windows and i didnt know you could do that
I tried to do it but the tint damaged 2 times. I don't have a blower. could it be a hair blower?
LOL! I love his face as he's cutting: 1:30
Great video, Matt. When you are applying the film to a back window that has the built in defrost strips, what is the best way to ensure the film lays nice along those strips? Thank you.
This isn't a professional's advice, but the way I'm about to do mine is gonna be to cut the hole using the defrost tab's weld marks (visible on the outside) as a guide. The hard part is going to be lining it up from something like a 45° angle.
If I could phase the film through to the inside of the window, that direction is the imaginary line I'm following. (Otherwise, if line myself up perpendicular to the glass, the measurements will be off)
excellent video. Going to do mine today. lets c how it goes.
Thanks . In my experience the back window we can't tint from inside because when you tern the hit nit on the hit nit break down or the window crash down
good job man. you make it look easy. i tried my friends 02 mustang and could not do it. so frustrating lol
nice work dude .
id say its very important that you get a good quality tint.if there was no bubbles while putting it on . they should not appear in the future..just my opinion
Thank you so much you helped me out so much.😇
is it possible to show us the same thing on a back window that is not so flat? Also is it possible to show us the "dry action" from the insight?
What material is the spray of?
Thanks in advance
'Came across this video at random. Thank you very much for sharing.
Nice work dude you make that look easy which i know isnt lol.
its actually pretty easy. very lucrative for someone who can do it. Just memorize the next move until completion and before you know it, you'll be able to do it blind folded
