This is a great video! Just tinted the back window on my 2009 TSX using this video. It came out perfect! I used precut Llumar CTX file. Your tip on letting the dryer sheet dry all the way before placing the tint on and then making sure all the fingers are vertical made all the difference.

I did this with a hair dryer. No creases just took forever as I had to hold the dryer right up against the tint which caused it to overheat a couple of times (I really need to invest in a heat gun). I’m happy to say my first attempt came out perfectly with no creases at all. Thanks

    You are my Hero!!
Those headrests were super high and you got that tint in there and worked around them. wow.
I remove the headrests. Even one's that aren't removable will come out, you just need to know where the c-clip is and shove a hanger down in there.

These vids are awesome man. Ive been tinting for 6 months now and every night i get o youtube to see what i can do better. To the people that are asking what temp to run the heat gun, i run mine on the hottest it can go. But you have to be carefull. Burning tint can easily be done. Mess around with the setting on yoiur gun and see what you feel comfortable with! The hotter, the faster the tint will shrink and can have a higher chance at creasing.

Sorry for answering your question even though it wasn't addressed to me. I think he does it the same way just cuts out excessive film from outside using the light from inside 1:08 and then from 2:13 to 3:15 and when you are done shrinking just go along the edges of the stop light. It's just a guess. I can be wrong but i would do it this way.

I have been studying this vid and your technique and I finally got a good shrink on the top half of my car, got it to lay down perfectly flat all around.
I'm doing it in two pieces and now the bottom is giving me problems. I think it's creasing because I'm hitting the tint that isn't hot yet. Maybe going a lil to fast.
This video helped a TON though. I'm still working at it.

Make sure the shampoo is not added too much, you need to make sure that there is more water. In other words, try to make the solution you mixed lighter instead of thick. See if that helps? Mine worked out fine on my Audi A6. I bought mine pre-cut from eBay so this process really took me only 1hr as first time trying.

JKang530, one reason is so that you don't burn any upholstery, another is cuz its actually easier to cut the film from the outside so you don't hit any defroster lines which can cause you to be frustrated not being able to defrost, condensation or even ice. At least that's the way I learned it some 18 yrs ago..

Great vid! I messed up a few back windows in the past. I got the sides down. But the back its a bitch!. My problem was not shrinking on the outside of back window good enough. If you don't have it flat and shrunk on outside, you'll never get it to fit an lay down on inside!. Also I needed to get a bulldozer to get behind the back light, an side swiper to fit bottom on either side of the back window. I was just using a squeegee that was rubber and small. Tks for making this!

This isn't a professional's advice, but the way I'm about to do mine is gonna be to cut the hole using the defrost tab's weld marks (visible on the outside) as a guide. The hard part is going to be lining it up from something like a 45° angle.
If I could phase the film through to the inside of the window, that direction is the imaginary line I'm following. (Otherwise, if line myself up perpendicular to the glass, the measurements will be off)
