How come when you rolled it up the plastic covering was facing you but then when you rolled it on inside it was still facing you?? I thought you rolled it on the inside
Looks like a professional job to me. A few problems I was going to encounter that other tinting videos did not resolve were resolved after watching this video. Thank you.
Awesome video! Made tinting my car a lot easier. Simplifies whole process and does a great job showing the correct way of doing it. I used water and baby shampoo in a spray bottle
Great job! There's some new things I hadn't seen in other videos. I've tried tinting my curvy rear window 10 times now but this video might give me the confidence to try one more time
Hii Dutch Dutch, i look your video from France and like your technique ! No squeegee even with the hand during dry shrinking! It's seems to be good result and great quality on this clio ! I try to do the same on my A4 sedan year 10, have you got some tips to get perfect finishing on the periphery of the window ?Thanks and a new time : great job !!

OHHHHHH!!! I get it...the clear switches sides when you unroll! Thats why you wet it so much, so it's loose an doesn't stick! Got it...Magic! Great job Sir!
As angrydonut said, is the film on the other way? Or it's a 3 layered type film? At the inside, you peel out the film from the outside, where it supposed to be a "glue" in between. Can you please clarify this? And it's a very nice job! Did my windows at home 2 days ago.. and they are a mess lol. I might redo them.
@@RigginTheRod010 Dont know about him but it does work, even normal black paint works. in some countrys it may be illegal and in some legal in finland it is legal
Is it me or at the 8min mark, he's applying his film and he pulls off the clear leaving the sticky side out? Not to the window? Am I seeing this right?
j'ai révé ou le coter avec le film transparent (le coter ou il y a la colle donc) n'est pas placer sur la vitre mais vers l'intérieur du véhicule ? parce que la ce n'est pas coller c'est juste l'éléctricité statique qui tient le film ...
nice work! what type of heat gun do you like using? we are looking for something with stronger airflow. we are using the typical Ultra Heat hot air tool. Thank you
Aren't the layer between the transparent film and the layer on the tint itself supposed to go againt the glass when mounting it to the intended surface? He peeled it off after mounting it on the rear inside glass (intended surface). WTF, am I missing something? 8:15
Damnnnn.. is look so easy when you do it matev :) hahh . I make myone horible , but i learn something from you. I have to try again, the problem for me was that on c3 2006 , the rear wondow is very curve....
Does anybody know if he put baby powder on the back window before he began the process? I see him rubbing the back window before he began, just wondering if he rubbed something on the back window in the beginning of the video?
How come when he heat shrinks the tint on the car he has the clear plastic facing up. But when he installs the tint the clear plastic is facing down. Shouldn't it be facing up since it formed the tint up?
nope ,liner is between the glass and film ..notice how he glues the film to the glass from one end then unrols the film .Now keep in mind that liner is still between the gass and film except for the small portion of that is glued ,then he just pulls the liner from in between the glass and film (thing making the confusion is that u dont see where the liner is )
It's reverse rolling, commonly used for flat glass application but serves purpose for automotive aswell. To gain an easy understanding, just look for 'reverse roll tint method' on UA-cam and pick one to watch. Easier than explaining with words ;)
Hi there, please what is that white powder you just applied in first seconds with hand? And what is the water? Its enought to use soap water? Thank you
Dutch Dutch Patrick Vermeulen Well, I don't believe it my good sir. Though looks like it when you sqeeze the water out as the adhesive would not let the bluemax slide very well. But still think you're the devil of tint, cuz that's magic if its true. lol
What is deemed acceptable as a passable tint job? I just recently had mine done and it's short in some areas and had minor specs of dirt on my driver side, which I can live with (very very small). Just curious coming from professionals what's passable?
For all those who are curious about his technique, it's called reverse roll. You can google it. Don't worry, glue is on the glass even if liner came outside. Magic happens!
Hey man, first I wanna say awesome video! You have a lot of skills, you are a pro. I just want to know what kind of tint you are using and also what is the heat setting on your gun??
well the way we do almost the same within same time but little different method, tiny bit of powder and use hand to get rid of creases and its much more safer way. the way you shrink the paper i tried couple of times but there is a risk involved of burning the paper out but its good for you tho.
Hey Dutch I was always under the impression that tint is supposed to go on the inside of the window? Is that a different style of film or something or am I just completely wrong? Please help me understand
I dont understand he pulled the clear plastic off at the end but the sticky side is under that plastic, no? So the sticky side was not on the window???
Super old comment, but yea. Because that's the side with the glue to stick on the window. Everyone else I've seen does it that way. I'm not sure why this guy did it the way he did.
I'm a diy and I have tinted glass back in the day. Nowadays I have the money to just let a shop do it but these clowns raised their prices BAD......Like I guess COVID. Did a number. I flat out asked the last shop what the hell was going on and she said the tint product went way up. I don't believe it as I can go online and buy tint in bulk. Anyway.....I got my rear window all cut out but I didn't do all the prep on the outside like you did using a heat gun. I tried doing it on the inside. I threw it away so now.....I'm going to try it again.
Just wondering.. what brand of film is this? I noticed this film is very good quality being that you were able to heat shrink the whole window at one shot with a lot of heat and didn't burn or crease and pretty much molded itself.
jw200 Objects like these can only curve in one direction, like a piece of paper. If you try to curve a piece of paper horizontally and vertically at one spot, you won't be able to. Using a heat gun allows it to shrink, making a curve in the film in many directions, allowing it to curve exactly like the window.
Incredible speed and accuracy. This guy makes it look so easy! lol

dont the clear film side have the sticky side that goes on the glass? it appears that its the opposite?
