hie. would really love to know if theres any CCU unit that wouldnt b too heavy on d pocket. that supports 6 sonyd55 and 4 sony z7 cams together. need it for a live broadcast. thanx a lot.
Junaid Butt - Are you not satisfied with the original lens ? First of all most of the ENG lenses are manual focus only (which is good if you have proper viewfinder, and you shoot from shoulder). Also 2/3 lenses will crop a bit on ex3 which means you lose some light, sharpness and wide angle. Canon YJ13x6BKRS is pretty good wide angle option, they are better options but I guess you dont wanna spend 30k for lens. If you however want/need full lens control you need to look for full servo lenses like Canon KJ17ex7.7B ITS-ME with Canon SS-41-IASD (controllers) for those who ask about the cost of the equipment: The professional camera station costs between 70k to 400k (USD). The price is mostly depending on the used lens. Television hardware is very expensive, its like buying a rolls royce if you ask how much it cost then its probably not for you. For rest of us with limited budgets I would recommend not to look for the flawless professional hardware. For price of one pro cam station you can easily have four Panasonic AG160 with Manfrotto 509HD tripods and fiber converters from Blackmagic Design. I think AG160 are now the best "low cost" cams for live production with multiple HD outputs, full lens controls. So if you dont need more than 600mm(full frame eqv.) focal length or super fast zoom (for replays when shooting sport) you will be fine. For anything better you will need to pay many times more. I am a camera operator in national television with huge budget where we have literally the best stuff in the world and I also work in small company with much cheaper equipment. So I know both... there is a some difference in performance, a big difference in ergonomics, but huge difference in price.
That's not relevant for live productions at all.. For artistic use, sure, but not for covering sports events like football, dance, or maybe a musical or theatre..
Yep. You're right.
Does the Canon YJ20x8.5B KRS SX12 lens work with the Sony EX3 using Fujinon ACM-18?
You're better off using a 35 mm adapter and some Nikon lenses, or much better together with the relay lens.
