HELLO ALEX! I just got my Sony PMW-EX1R and shot some footage! My question is: I used an SXS Adapter to transfer my video mp4 files to my computer! The problem is the Palmcorder puts each take in a separate folder making, batch capturing impossible! Besides using the USB out in Media Mode, can I use the Fire Wire IDEE Output to do the same? Will Adobe Premiere recognize it and control it like it does with a Mini DV Cam? Is there an advantage of using a USB vs a Fire Wire IDEE?
Thank you for questions. It is been a while I have used my EX3 and it`s now sits on my studio shelf. I will answer by my memory. I`ve used SXS to SD card adapter and that was less pain to copy clips from SD card simply by inserting card into computer card reader. Yes Adobe Premiere will recognize it. There is no advantage using USB vs Fire Wire but it may depend on your system. BTW I still have many accessories that make filming with EX camcorders easier but I do not use them anymore. If you are interested I can sell them for good price. Good luck with your projects.

Hi, thanks for posting this one. I'm using old FD nikon lenses that i can control the aperture on. The old primes are really amazingly sharp but the 100-200 zoom I'm using is, not surprisingly, softer, especially at the top end.
I have a closet full of L lenses and haven't used them because of no adapter that will let you set the aperture on them. I know you can put it on a Canon body and preset it but that's awkward at best.
I have two questions now that you've used this adapter with the EF mount, how has it worked out in practice? Does the lack of Iris control present a problem and/or how do you handle the need to adjust exposure?
One other question, what on camera monitor are you using on the EX3?

Вау вау вау! Не знал что Вы и жена говорите по-русски :) А вы сможете еще выложить съемки с Сони и объективом Кэнон? Очень интересно как она себя поведет с объективами серии L. Тем не менее, с такой стоимостью возможно приобрести камеру Canon C100....Но с ней при репортажной съемке наверное одни мучения..

Looks soft to me. Not impressive at all. Maybe you'll get a little more performance with a prime.
