Money is money mate; more we have the more we spend, the less we have the less we spend. Personally I love what you've done to it, I have the 2018 model FXBB, love it, spent money on it but it's my only vehicle and I use it for everything. Some of your mods are not what I'd considered so I got a lot from your vid pal. Cheers and best wishes from the UK.

You have an awesome bike !! I came across your channel and watched your External Breather System install. Good Stuff ! Your an addict like me.. Just picked up a 2021 Streetbob myself.. Prices are much kinder in the states. 14k for bike and then switched to S&S Slashcut Slip-ons, Saddleman Stepup seat, Cobra engine guard, and Memphis Shades Road Warrior Fairing/Windshield is almost here.. $1370 is total for the extras on it. Im staying simple with it.. Now my 2003 Dyna FXD is another story. I picked it up, bone stock, with very low miles at a great price. However, with trading for shop labor, and rest done by me, I have still put nearly 11k in it.. Something you love can cost a wheelbarrow full of cash ! But the Harley never lies to you and you know there isnt anyone else riding her !!

Money...you can't take it with you. Awesome bike! Think about it this way...that's roughly 4 really nice vacation, but instead you have a badass Harley that you can ride for decades!

Your bike is awesome bro. I have the same bike. Only thing I would say is you should’ve put a stage 3 in it. I just got mine back from the shop yesterday and man the stage 3 makes all the difference. Cost around 4 grand with labor and all

The problem I see with people who argue that you could have bought the next level up whatever with the mods you did to the one you have is that anyone who is going to do mods is going to be mods on whatever bike they have so going with the next level up doesn't actually save you any money.

Most of us who own these bikes do all the same or similar mods. I’m more surprised that the bike was nearly 10g’s more than what it costs hear in the U.S.!

Ya man I hear you I have spent $7,000 ish so far and have about another $11,000 worth of stuff (most of that will be motor work) yet to do,it's a fun sickness to have because there is nothing worse than pulling up to a traffic light and looking at the exact same thing sitting next to you. lol

WE LITERALLY LOVE all the FXBB mods you did. And we ended up with the whiplash slipstream and memphis gauntlet with headlight block as well on our ‘18 FXBB @softailchar (instagram) Which are a MUST for this bike. Dig your bars and custom touches! Truly amazing and unique gingybeard machine!

More than one way to skin a cat. Just lately I bought a 05 Softail for $4200. Over the years it had been well maintained and received many upgrades and options. I added a Hammer Performance 98in big bore kit with cam for around $1700 parts and labor. Your bike is newer and mine is new to me.

I put 14" mxt bars from dominator industries on my fxbb last year they have a guage mount that puts the guage low where it normally is

I love your bike man, it looks great! I’m wondering how you like your Whiplash Slipstream seat now. Has it broken in and does it feel more comfortable or has it retained most of the feel from when you bought it? I’m asking because I just put my order in today for one because I like the look and not everyone has one like the Saddlemen Step Up seat that everyone is running. I haven’t done many mods to my bike yet but I’ll probably be right there with you. I did get forward controls and I’m waiting on my handlebars to arrive along with some new blinkers that are similar to yours but they are the smoked Drag Specialties front blinkers. I also just bought cruise control today so I can have that installed when my bars come so they can do everything in one shot without me having to pay for extra labor and cruise control is a MUST for me! I’ll eventually get some heated grips but once you’ve had cruise control and heated grips you’ll never go back, it’s the little creature comforts that make riding more enjoyable, especially for longer rides/trips which I plan on taking in the spring.

Thanks mate. I've since sold the whiplash seat as I have changed to a 5 gal tank as the seat it wouldn't have worked with the larger tank. Of all the 3 seats I've had on the bike the whiplash has been my favourite and most comfortable. The seat retained the same feel through owning over 12 months 👍
My previous softail had cruise control and I loved it, I may add it to this bike in the future 👍

You have converted me to sell my iron and upgrade
In 2018 I bought a new 114 Breakout with a stage 1. I paid 35k for it. Spent another 5k getting a SE stage 4 upgrade After a few months my missus started saying "If you're gonna keep spending $200 a week on that bike you might as well buy a new bike". I thought..what a great idea..
So in June this year I bought a MY21 Lowrider S with a Stage 4 131, CR540 Cam, Tman Hi Comp pistons, Fueling cam plate, Bassani RR3 & other bits of fruit.
Still spending around 200 a week on the new bike but theyre both almost exactly how I want em now. Your bike looks mint mate.

Great videos. Thank you. There must be an exchange rate difference between AUS and US$. It looks like you are paring about 50% more. For instance HD Ventilator AC is around $300 US. I believe that you paid around $450.
yeah man, it's the exchange rate that kills us here in Aus. It's frustrating as I've had to source loads of parts from the U.S
Trust the Mrs isn''t going to watch this video, I can hear her already, "you spent how much?" Imagine that, I upgraded my LR to a Stage III, 107ci to 114ci from the getgo and then spent $800 on a dyno tune. But she goes beautifully. It didn't stop there either. It's what we do.

I bought a 2005 CVO Electra Glide and promptly put 4K on internal motor work that no one will see but I really love the seat of the pants feel when I twist the throttle nothing like it.

Yes sir that's in Aus dollars, shipping cost is a whole other kettle of fish, I didn't think to add that as people all over the globe would have different shipping cost. I just wanted to show folks the prices of the parts.
But the real question is are you happy with it?? I dig your bike a lot and if I had the extra coin to jump for a softail over the 883 I have I would of. Ride your own ride and do what you like brahh!

Forward control is too expensive. If I buy a brand new street bob, any chance in Aus I can swap mid control with another Fatbob owner? Many fatbob owners should love a mid control?
Yeah I'd recommend doing that for sure if you can find someone to swap with. Also if you swapped you would be able to swap primary cases as the fatbob owner would need the hole in the primary case where the mid controls run through.
In the end it matters what you want. Our time in this world is so brief what ever can give you joy is goooood & cheers to you it came out great bro... You would have a heart attack if you knew how much I spent.......

Yeah I agree mate the guage does stick out a bit and it comes a little close to the back of my leg too.

Great thing about the bob and most harleys is you can mod them out so many different ways to suit which style you're into. Ive seen a few street 500s modded out which look pretty kewl man 👍

No mate, I had the dealership tune it with the maximus tuner. The dealership didn't charge extra to do the tune.

Hey friend can you link me the memphis shades foward extension block for the headlight, i've emailed them about which one i need for my fxbb, but they havent replied, they have to versions it seems, i got the same fairing as you do but my headlight is far in that fairing and i like the look of yours.
I don't think I have ever a bike I havent felt the need to personalise. Harleys are made for it. on another note where did you get the Hoodie I like the name
I'm hearing you mate, I've never left any of my bikes stock. Honestly I can't remember for the life of me where I got the hoodie.
I learned a long time ago when ya start fking with the motor and adding aftermarket bs it doesn't need it will break down a lot on the road. If it hasn't yet, it will trust me give it time. EVO motors are fking great motors if ya leave them alone, will last forever if ya take care of it. I added all kinds of shit on my Sportster. I had nothing but problems since. My Dyna I haven't touched and it hasn't taken a shit on me one time, runs like a dream. To the point, I am over the Sportster, don't trust it n e more, hell I had to push that mfer 4 miles to my house, more than once. If it isn't broke, just ride the mfer... Look wise ya, go for it, make it look nice, but I won't add any upgrades to my motors n e more. I learned the hard way and 100s of dollars later.
Don’t feel bad, I had a Norton that I spent a fortune on, bought for 6k, 5k mods restoration, sold for 6500, good riddance.

Have you considered a tank lift?
I have thought about a tank lift but I'm not 100% sure if it'll suit the whole club style look I've gone with. I really want to put a bigger tank on the bike in the future too

I put about 15000 into my 2000 FLSTF, that's replacing everything. I like my bike, but Harley has this awful way of building a bike that basically requires upgrades.

I basically did the exact same thing, I have a 2020 Street Bob and all I have left to do is install the stage one but after that I'll have $30,000 Canadian into it which I believe would equal about $34K for you.
Sure isn't cheap modding out the street bob or any Harley for that matter. Ahhh Well It's half the fun in owning a bike 👍

Mate you can put a 180 rear tyre on these rims you just need to find a tyre with the Correct side wall profile. I've been told this tyre in the link will work

We all buy motorcycles with the intent to customize. Make it our own. The means to be creative. You can't put a price tag on satisfaction. So if you love it. The money spent is worth it. I think your Street Bob looks and sounds amazing. I'm sure it rides amazing as well. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

You’ve done a very nice set of mods man, you really should’ve checked the ZIPPERS 468 cam though instead of that SE cam as it would’ve pushed you over 100hp and torque.

The only reason I went with the screaming eagle cam was for warranty purposes as my dealership stated they would cover it. I still had 2 yrs of warranty left at the time I had the cam installed. No doubt there are better performing cams but none the less I'm pretty wrapped in the performance of the SE torque cam.
Mate i just found out my bill for the Fatbob they other day while going through some things for a home loan. Lets just say Im worse off hahah. But hey, its my bike and its not like Im spending other peoples money. Our bikes dont turn heads from factory mate. SBob looks killer bro.

Yeah man, I love the bike. Biggest problem is I'm always changing my mind on parts I've already bought and thrown on the bike. I'm thinking about putting different bars on somewhere down the line.
