I actually live in Oklahoma City at a place that hires the blind and visually impaired I’m sad am unable to do my passion but am happy that I get to see other people drive truck even though it’s not possible for me I’m glad you enjoy your job
Chuck, as long as you make videos I’ll be watching. You are such an inspiration. Your attitude towards life and your job is something I wish I had. I love coming home from work and watching your videos. A big stress relief. So thank you for everything you do! I will say I think you were happier with the extra board. Just do what makes you happy!
I was #1 in the city. 063 terminal. It just meant I got the short end of the stick first. Lol. Oh well, I’m retired now! Lol.
Another nice one. Also i have to say, last vid was NOT LTL! Your trailer was packed in that one.
P&d was the best job I ever had, loved it. Hours were not the best though due to working the dock after p&d.
Therez something relaxing about this. Not sure y
My brother used to be a dock worker and 8 months ago he moved up to being a yard jockey. I hopes to eventually move up to be a p&d driver so he can be home at night
Too bad every receiver isn't this quick and efficient!
Chuck, thanks for another great ride along, it sure brings great memories back to this old man.
Thanks Chuck for the great content that you do helps me now that I'm adapting to college and hearing you telling us to make life sweet keeps me running after a very good day of studies. Thanks for your work and keep it up.
Good work chuck ..
When you like what you do .. that's already half the battle .. so enjoy my friend ...
You will be back on the road again, doing the P&D side is a good break from the terminal hopping.
Hello. Very nice vlog and funny interesting. Good luck. 👍 I watching from Ulaanbaatar
You always treat others with respect and consideration, and you have a good sense of humor. It keeps the gears of life rolling smoothly. You also show loyalty to your company. High marks to you, Chuck.
Thanks Grey, I appreciate that 👊🏻
Hello from the UK keep on trucking.
You know if you stay with p&d you can say you spent half your life backing up. 😂
He's driven more miles in reverse, than many others have driven forward!
😂
@@Truckngirl 10-4
I'm kind of surprised that Estes doesn't take care of your seniority considering that they begged you to come back to P&D.
You are easy to follow and a good learning channel. Keep it up. Thanks
I appreciate that me hall 👊🏻
What I wouldn’t give for mirror that don’t shake… my Peterbilt mirrors shake so badly in reverse, makes it that much harder to back up! Gonna miss you on P&D!
What's up Chuck? Sure wish I could get behind the wheel once again. I'm disabled from cancer in my leg. Praise God I'm cancer free!
Glad to hear that Richard!!
Both those positions are a hard way to make a living, and to be honest, that is why they pay so well. P & D, eventually I think you will have an orthopedic surgeon on speed dial, with few exceptions. But, being home at night is important. Best Wishes!
good job chuck . 👍
I don"t get it You go back to P&D to help them and they make You wait 6 months to go back to line haul. What happened to one hand washes the other
I could probably get back to XB sooner if they get back to proper staffing just depends on when that is but 6 months is all I committed to.
Hey Chuck how often do you swear ? Haha love the channel !
Almost never, always try and find another word 😁
Chuck 6 Months will fly by until then I will have to ride shotgun in the city. Have a blessed day and be safe out there.
We will get back out on that road in no time 😁
Another great video chuck. Also on Monday I start at a mechanic shop as a apprentice. Hopefully after a year or more I’ll apply at Estes as a diesel tech. I’m very excited about this and my new journey in life.
Appreciate your time and effort in this videos very very insightful. I’m process of trying figure out how get my auto restriction removed and get into ltl game! Do you kno if it’s possible/if anybody came in with restriction and went thru the E(school) to get it removed or is that wishful thinking? Anyways appreciate you and your time/effort. Thanks!
I got my restriction taken off by simply renting a box truck that was a 6 speed manual and did the backing maneuvers and the road test took maybe 30 minutes and the restriction was taken off.
@@TheTulsaTrucker that’s great idea! Thanks
Chuck wish I had a day cab with back glass. It would make blindside backing to family dollar stores so much easier. I enjoy watching
Question I work for Estes too, but I noticed when you sign a BOL you don't fill out STC, SWS or SLC you guys don't have to do that in Oklahoma?
We don’t for every single pickup when I can’t be on the dock then SLC is used but that’s rear.
Thanks Chuck!
My wife works at a scale house here in NE Indiana. Thanks to your vids, our relationship has never been closer, now that I get to see what some of her stuff from work is really about!
I enjoy watching these your doing a great job bud
great video sir
👊🏻
You sign those “bills” like a DR signs a prescription. lol
1. Without peddle drivers, there is no linehaul. 2. Backing into buildings in the daytime is the WORST. 3. Linehaul is lovely until the shitty weather hits. I know you've been out there with only the other LTL guys...everybody else is parked! 4. I think you've done a marvelous job with your trucking career. You're right about Pepsi (and food service) being a young guy's game. But you spent minimal time at (P)lease (R)emember (I) (M)orgaged (E)verything, (I) (n)eed (c)ash which I tip my hat to you for. Everything there is sparkly, but their predatory leasing scheme makes them scum. I will be following no matter where you land, you're a hoot and such a positive person!
I appreciate that 👊🏻
Not long enough
Mad backing skills!
👊🏻
Hi Chuck enjoy your videos. I know that feeling about line haul and P&D . I just wanted To sleep in my own bed . Got tired of hotel rooms and sleeping in my sleeper truck . I missed my family. There is nothing like driving at night on a full moon very little traffic just enjoying life rolling down the highway but out of Chicago I spent days in truck stops because of snow storms or worse driving on black ice . Doing P&D in a single axle truck in snow just sucks especially with no weight in the trailer . Trucking is a stressful job city or road . What I did enjoy was the camaraderie with my fellow P&D drivers having lunch together or taking a brake and having coffee together. ✌️
Explained perfectly Denis 👍🏻
Hey Chuck
👊🏻
Works the dock for 2 hours then pedals for 8 hours comes home and watches chuck lol
😂👊🏻
Daing Chuck, you're sticker happy with them bar codes LOL!!!
I use them all 😂😂
Thanks for telling us all about your feelings of P&D compared to line haul.
I started out doing truckload regional freight which had me out all week. I hated it!
Then I ran locally running a dump trailer. Much better but those 14-15 hour days really got to me.
Then, I got with a dedicated run hauling US Mail and absolutely loved it! Some might call it boring but it was a perfect fit for me. My run was 24 hours out and back sleeping one night in the truck - then home for 24 hours.
It takes time for all of us to find our niche and it sounds like the extra board is yours. You have to put the time in with a few different styles of trucking to find that niche for yourself. So glad you are almost there!
Now retired for 9 years I think I still do miss it. However watching your videos and riding along with you gives me that little taste of it I need a couple times a week. Thanks for your hard work in keeping the videos coming!
You are absolutely correct, I appreciate you following along!!
Chuck great videos. New subscriber. Loving the positivity and enthusiasm. I work at Pepsi in Manchester NH going on 20 years.
Thanks Jack, mad props to you on the 20 years that’s quite the accomplishment 👊🏻
Watching your videos makes the time fly, thanks for the great entertainment! 👍🏻👌🏻
I appreciate that👊🏻
Hey chuck
👊🏻
@@TheTulsaTrucker 🙃
Where you a Geo driver for Pepsi?
Yes
@@TheTulsaTrucker that’s a young man’s job….I’m on the transport side.
That's funny you deliver to the place right across the street from office. Maybe one morning I'll see you going there and say Hi
Definitely stop me if you ever see me. 👍🏻
I’m retired now but I did p&d for 45 yrs watching your videos is just like working,no quite
Thank you for all of your service driver, come ride along anytime
I've always done linehaul... P&D is a different kind of pace and it's not for me. Most people only like one or the other, not both. Props to you! Keep it movin'
That’s a very true statement
Chuck I like all your content. What does p and d mean?
Pick up and delivery
Why didn’t you upload pics of trucks
I don’t do them in every vlog
@@TheTulsaTrucker oh ok have by any chance heard of a company called newpenn
Love your videos and attitude sir. Keep up the great work.
I appreciate that 👊🏻
ive been watching on my school account, thought i may come on my personal account and subscribe. I found your channel through my dad as he worked for estes for a year.
Glad you’re a regular to the channel I appreciate the follow 👊🏻
@@TheTulsaTrucker your welcome you deserve more subscribers for the amazing content
Love your energy. Great videos.
Much appreciated
Is your P&D truck the same as your extra board or line haul rig ? Thanks for the ride. Stay safe.
No sir it’s different
Hey chuck quick question, I passed my triples/doubles & hazmat test at the DMV but I’m waiting on my background check for my hazmat to come back. Do you think I should go ahead and apply to estes or wait until my background check comes back & then apply? Nice vlog as always.
I would go ahead and apply, Estes is hiring drivers who are in the process of getting their Hazmat..
Sir ( chuck)
As I've come to watch and enjoy your blog (ytube) chanel after watching this post the one thing I've come to note is your dedication to the big E and the team player commitment to your fellow drivers and the big E what I be come to know and enjoy is the hiden msg and put to use every day and life lesson to makeing and doing your part to make the world 🌎 and life a better place because as you live by life is truly a preshis gift and can end and change in the blink of an eye for us all however like life it has many twist turns and challenging moments and adventures in it for example each and every time when you approach a point of delivery customer 1 first and foremost you treat them with the upmost respect because one you are the face and rep of the big E and like in life we come across all types of individuals along our journey and simply by taking 5 min of our day to say hi and or ingage them in conversation you can be showing you care and they mater 2nd when ever you are making a delivery you asces the challenge and situation with getting the products were they need to go and never neserly look for the simple and easy way to get it to a specific door or dock you take what has been put before you and ingage the challenge before you weather it's a straight blind side or alley reverse or backing into the dark unknown and you take us like life's journey with you each and every time because life is truly a blessing and gift to us all and in the blink of an eye it can and will end and change and we need to live and embrace it and the many challenge that come with it because none of us can see or know what's coming around the next corner blind side reverse or the dark unknown in front or behind us and the easy way is not necessarily the best way of and challenge put before us
So on that note sir
I come to and offer you a true and we'll blessed day and sulte from me and my best friend in the whole wide world 🌎 my dog max ( maximizer) sends you a a special extra 👃 his version of a high five and thank you and look forward to each and every time you welcome us back to your blog and the challenges and lesson's that make him a better dog and me a person each and every day
