A bunch of slackers at the fence company who wouldn't unload you with at least 6 forklifts right there. If I would have been on break I'd unload you.
Sometimes it’s just faster for me to do it.

Surprised those places let you load yourself,that is great, keeps you moving along,where I worked,drivers were not allowed in building,they had a truckers waiting area
Allot of my customers let me load if a forklift isn’t needed.
Amazon is basically turning all their unused warehouse space for warehousing for other companies, not just ones that sell through them.

I use to work for ABF I WAS LONG HAUL DRIVER BUT I DID P/D 4 THE MCLEAN TRUCKING AND I DID P D 4 ROADWAY EXPRESS BUT I DID LINE HAUL FOR THE RAN TEAM OUT OF MEMPHIS I DON'T DRIVE ANYMORE I HAVE CANCER PANCREAS 4 STAGE U TAKE CARE B SAFE OUT THERE BRO :)

Hei Chuck. Have started watching ur videos recently and I enjoy them. They are fun to watch bcause u know ur stuff and have a great personality. You handle alot of pallets and go inside alot of terminals, thats fun to watch bcause Im Estonian myself and worked as a warehouse worker froklift driver for 9 years and now I have driven a truck for a bit over a year in Finland. Its fun to see how things work in the US.

It’s not a Estes shop it’s a company that leases out that business and to be honest the less they touch our trucks the better.
Unloading the freight yourself when you got ppl standing right there ..... The life of a P&D driver 🤣🤣🤣 even if its lights its the principal. Kinda like when u go places that arent that tight but the customer has shxt in the way that makes it a really tight back 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ hate it
If it’s heavy stuff I start asking for a forklift but I figure I can get that freight yanked off and get their signature before they even start moving 😂😂
I have heard from another tuber that if your videos/hours watched is high compared to the number of subscribers UA-cam's algorithm bumps up your channel in the front page recommendations.
I’m sure watch time helps for sure.
What’s your average delivery stops count? And pickup stops? On your normal route.

I used to pick up at a uniroyal tire distributor that stored there tires in old government quanset huts. Hand load full trailer. The good old days.
Hey chuck that first stop you went to all of them sitting around and no one would get on the forklift and take that pallet off and then the tire place as well stuff like that would piss me off after a while and I have a question for ya when you took the bill you did t put a pro label on the bill why not ????. Great videos buddy enjoy watching them keep them coming
I didn’t put a pro label because it already had a digital one on it. Some shippers crate their own from the Estes Website.
I’m not afraid to ask the shippers or receivers for help if I have allot or am picking up allot. If it’s simple stuff I do it myself because it’s faster than to wait on someone else.
I watch tour videos every time i get a notification. Nice to see what your up to while im sitting ina hotel taking my 10 hr break.

IDK about your other videos, but I can tell you you're over 33% thumb's up is kinda rare. BTW that passenger side rear most trailer tire kinda looked like the tread was trying to separate.

I do have a question. Why do you throw your strap in the trailer?
So that when I back up to some docks it doesn’t get caught and can’t open the door once on the dock.

Coming from line haul to P&D to help out my terminal while it’s short handed I have to say has made me a more well rounded driver, I’ve seen and paid attention to some of your backs, it’s definitely helped, I still need to work at getting better on my set ups, especially in real tight areas we go but the experience is all worth it, I thank you for all you do for the channel.
Maybe, if at some point you get the opportunity to provide some of your input about sliding the trailer tandems, I would like to know more about it, Thanx Chuck !!!

So at the 9:44 mark, I notice you unload the pallet yourself.......while several people "lounge around" at the destination.. Is this normal? As the receiving clerk at a box store, I'm usually there and ready you unload with a forklift if needed.

It’s not normal but I do it myself if there is only one and it’s not heavy. Just allows me to get in and out faster.
How to you keep people from opening trailers when parked overnight in non company locations? You never seem to unlock doors.

Does Estes offer CDL training? I've got 7 years in a yard mule and I've considered getting my CDL. I just haven't made time to do it with me working about 50 hrs a week year round. Also hello from the Memphis Metro area

Yes they do. They cover the cost of the finger prints and background check.

Chuck, you need to check the little wheels on the jack for nails or something like that stuck in them. That’s why it thumps the way it does. If it was the big wheels on the end of the fork it wouldn’t stop when you jack it up.

Late 80's or very early 90's a Holland Line Haul driver hoped to do & drop & hook. Left his terminal without looking at the load or the paperwork. Got to Portland, Oregon okay...problem is his drop was supposed to be in Portland, Maine. His only reply was I wondered why the load seemed to be pulling so light. Naturally he was fired & heard with the extra money he made his dispatch told him he could get home any way he wanted. The jet that had the re-pulled load on it made it to the right Portland before he made it to the wrong Portland. Line Haul drivers.....

Idk why it took so long for UA-cam to recommend you to me, but this makes the second video so far. It’s cool to see how local ltl does things. It seems a lot more streamlined than long haul truckload.

LTL is the best kept secret in trucking, it is way better than OTR in my opinion
I do p&d with Estes in SLC and I was doing 22 stops toady in a swing door trailer lol it was a very long day
Thats 22 open and 22 closed doors. I used to run a route and a driver for a different company would leave them open. I guess whatever it takes.
Swing doors are a pain, only had to do that once, roll up is king 😁
