Zizzo Liberte commuter here. Every day. Into and through NYC. OK, PATH from NJ into NYC, then riding on the streets. The easy folding and dollying make it really easy to get through crowded stations and up stairs folded. The light weight of the Liberte was what sold me, because I knew I had to negotiate stairs and turnstiles. The 20 inch wheels are great for the occasional pothole.
Your words about riding onto your workplace grounds with the trucks, and sharing the roads with drivers who aren't as observant as they might be, make a lot of sense. I live in a town where a lot of drivers don't seem to be 'bike aware' - this is why I always wear a high-vis vest when riding my Ammaco 20" wheel bike, anywhere. I also wear a light coloured helmet, which friends say make me much easier to see... when I have to drive a car I notice cyclists wearing white, yellow or light orange helmets are the most easily seen.
Zizzos are neither crappy nor are they cheaply made! The paint on my Via is gorgeous as are the welds and the bike works perfectly. I’ll probably still be riding it while your Brompton is in the shop… again! And it appears that you caused the problems with the drive train and haven’t dialed it in, so don’t blame Zizzo. They offer a great bike for a reasonable price. Brompton’s are nice but are way over priced!! Love your channel tho’, keep up the good work!
I never said zizzo was a crappy bike. I said people say why do you ride that cheap crappy bike? Yes, you are right. The modifications I made are cause the issue and I have tried everything to dial it in as you say without success. I will be changing the gearing to something that might work better but I must remind everyone that this bike did not work out of the box. I was having all kinds of shifting issues from the get go. The urbano and liberte models don’t suffer from these problems… Thanks for watching and for the feed back…..I just thought I’d clarify.😁

The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. Hey Brian, why not give some thought to using an ebike for some of the daily commute rides? You don't have to use the electric motor all the time- maybe just when you know the wind is going to be strong against you, or its going to rain. So you can still keep up your fitness by riding without the power on part of a journey. I use an electric brompton, and its light enough that I can ride it like a normal bike with the motor off, but when I'm not feeling 100%, or the weather is windy/rainy, I switch on the motor and it makes the ride a lot less unpleasant. To be fair, I know It's a lot of money to spend on a bike that you would only use once or twice a week, and it might be just me getting older and wanting an easier time of it, but just a thought.

I hope you give Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and St. Valentine Day cards to your coworkers and neighbors. It appears you work in a logistics building. Some experts claim I am too tall for a Brompton type bike. Do you have a folding mountain bike you can show everyone?

I know right.
There Is absolutely nothing awkward riding a folding bike but people are often strange and awkward
Too many issues. Just ride the damn Brompton and also use the truck entrance. Cars probably use it too. It's only awkward in your mind. Never take away the pleasure of riding a Brompton! ❤😜
I ride my Brompton Everyday! Since it’s a small bike I’m definitely not compensating for other inadequacies😊
thanks for the video and thanks for your persistence on keep riding to work. it awfully sad here in north american cities (even Canada is the same shit) we have zero usable bike infrastructure and cities do nothing about making it any easier. car supremacy in these two country is on full swing. hopefully one day we become like europe and stop this car madness in our cities
Hey brian how do we get in touch?
How many folding bikes do u have
About 10 or so..
@@ibikeunfolded I like these bikes but I am a bigger guy but I've seen bigger guys riding them what's your opinion
@@edselbobpacer I carry so much weight on my 2023 zizzo forte that I can definitely say it can handle the weight. That bike is rated to 300 lbs but I’ve had more on it.
@@ibikeunfolded iam going to send for one on Amazon
Great stuff again Brian! The social commentary about faulty cultural programing is gold. Site appropriate landscaping is vital for conservation. Especially in the west.
When do you ride your Bike Friday?
Everyday I’m off work. Still getting it ready for some touring I’ve got planned.
@@ibikeunfolded Thanks!
How much does that ebike weigh?
What e-bike are you referring to?
That quick fold with the handlebars unfolded looks really nice and I think I can do that with my dahon mariner. I wonder what you call the folding method.
BTW, what paneer bag are you using?
Thank you for this cool video.
do you prefer zizzo over dahon? if so, why? thanks.
Yes….. Many reasons…. The Zizzo has a better/stronger steering stem(video on this coming soon), the Zizzo Is cheaper, the Zizzo website sells replacement parts to repair your bike in the event of damage…..I could go on and on😀
@@ibikeunfolded thanks so much! zizzo, citizen, dahon, tern, etc...others??? hard to know what's crap and what's decent, esp. for hill climbing and potholes. thanks.
Man, life is short. Don't worry about spares. I do not think that those bikes you adore so much would have the same meaning to whoever you leave them to. Hell, you may even lose all your belongings including those bikes in an earthquake one day. Enjoy the life while you can 👍
i love the part where he says what bike it is
The things you own, ended up owning you.
Ok Tyler😁
I hope you give Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and St. Valentine Day cards to your coworkers and neighbors. It appears you work in a logistics building. I was a sanitation worker for eight years at a warehouse living in constant fear of being stabbed, and a former neighbor where I reside was a tractor trailer driver, he made my life a living hell; acted like a character in an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard t.v. show ( and the cops) and he sold his house to a woman (she acts like Catherine Bach in the Dukes of Hazzard) whose father is a state employee from my hometown area. Some experts claim I am too tall for a Brompton type bike. Do you have a folding mountain bike you can show everyone?
Hobo cyclist puts thousands of KMs on the cheapest folders out there.
I don’t know how you’re able to ride these things for miles to work without getting people’s sh**** opinions who demand ‘normal’ stuff including full size bike(unless they’re electric).
This should be a 3 min video.
Far too much padding
I'd ride with the trucks. Nobody cares.
Go back to original gears.
Interesting. No offense but would be good to see more bike(s) and less you :)
What fenders are those?
I've been riding this bike for about a month ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
They are great aren’t they.
