Really ahead of its time this tail light and unique, just purchased my smoked version tst tail light and looking forward deleting completely the OEM sidemarkers with it to fit my HP4 tail cover lid for a smoother line finish, love it cant wait to install those
6:47 How did you just separate those two fairings in a snap! I can't unclip mine. My lower fairing (The Black base) and the top fairings are pretty much baked in and if I try to bend them any further, the tabs would break. One of the tabs already seems like it's about to break. I even got the entire tail piece removed of the bike! 😭😭😭
Changed my panel (right side) but mine were in the clips seriously tight. Managed to get it done without breaking anything so thanks for the tutorial. Won't be doing it again in a hurry !!
I installed this on a 2010 s1000rr. What I did when it came to obtaining the license plate lamp wiring was cut apart the OEM blinker harness and used the stock assembly + wiring. If I could go back, I would have bought a new license plate lamp assembly with wiring and just tapped that in instead of cutting apart the OEM blinker wiring - just in case I decide to go back to stock, the wiring would appear untouched. The unit is solid and fits great. Highly recommend.
Too bad you didn't get our tiny little license plate light that we offer. It is very stealthy and very bright, and connects easily to any setup. Anyhow, I'm glad you are enjoying the tail light. Our guys slaved over that thing for so long, and we dumped so much money into the development, now it is good to see that our customers are getting enjoyment from all that effort.
TSTindustries I need this for a 2012 and I need the light as well for a fender eliminator ? If you sell a fender eliminator I can get both I need smoked
Nice. I've got a 2018 S1000R, and already have a few Womet-Tech items for it that I bought from you guys. I have couple of questions about this though, please. -My bike already came with the LED factory indicators... Do I need the flasher rate controller even so? -I'd like to retain my factory LED rear indicators and licence plate light... Do you have a 2-1 factory wiring harness connector so I don't have to mess with the factory wiring and do any cuts/splices? -Does this stuff mess with the CAN-BUS at all, throw any codes, or anything? Cheers!
Nice tutorial. I have to change my right side panel this week and was worried about breaking the clips. I will use this method to save removing the complete tail.
Beautiful system, although i wish the plate could be mounted lower by 6 inches at least, the black light is amazing, do you guys also sell that exhaust?
Hello, Is the license plate holder part of the package? I have a 2015 s1000r. Would you also have a solution for the front indicators? Thanks for your reply 🙂 Best regards from France
We offer the fender eliminator separately from the tail light but we do offer one. At this time, we do not have a front turn signal solution for BMWs at this time.
Hi - just bought this - and it looks amazing - quick question is it easy to add the existing indicators by splicing to your connector - or will I need resistors?
If you installed your tail light with the flash rate controller as per our video then you can just add the indicators in parallel with the signaling circuit of the bike and no other parts will be necessary.
Just came across this after getting one installed on my 2018 S1K, I have noted the parking light goes off after a few seconds. Is this normal or something that can be fixed?

We are very close to finalizing the new lens mold and will be producing the lights again real soon. After the first couple production runs we had a problem with our lens mold, and in trying to fix it the machine deteriorated more and more with each try. We had to build a whole new one. Good news is that we are almost at the end of the process. The enclosures are produced, all the electronics are produced and installed in the enclosures, and we are just waiting for the lens mold to be operable. Should be really soon.
We have been wrestling with the issue for longer than that. Our first lens injection mold broke after the first 500 units and we chased fixing it for several months. Then we decided to redesign the mold tool and take a different approach to manufacturing. We have been getting parts out of that tool for 4 months now but not quality that we would want to sell. I believe that we are in the endgame here now. We shot 100 successful clear lenses on Monday. A quick repolish of several mold surfaces and we will be shooting the smokes lenses. Then we have to assemble with the rest of the components and do quality inspections. It should not be long now.
I fitted this on my 2011 bmw s1000rr about a month ago. Was working perfectly but now for some reason it doesn’t actually light up when I click the brakes… it works perfectly when the ignition is on but as soon as I start my bike it no longer flashes
We will have to do some troubleshooting to narrow the problem down to its cause. Please use our website customer support portal. Our staff will help resolve this.
I just installed the light on my R yesterday. I thought there were only 3 programs! Is each press of the 'program' button a different setting, or do you use double and triple taps to change?
Each press of the button will change one signal function. With every 3 presses, it will change the brake pattern. A breakdown is listed below. Standard Brake (ST Brake) Standard Signal with ST Brake Sequential Signal with ST Brake Pulsar Signal with ST Brake (NOW THE BRAKE FUNCTION WILL CHANGE AND BEGIN OVER) Strobe Brake (STR Brake) Standard Signal with STR Brake Sequential Signal with STR Brake Pulsar Signal with STR Brake (NOW THE BRAKE FUNCTION WILL CHANGE AND BEGIN OVER) Pulsar Brake (P Break) Standard Signal with P Brake Sequential Signal with P Brake Pulsar Signal with P Brake
Yes. The current generation of the S1000RR is the 3rd gen. The one that is supposedly coming out mid 2019 is the 4th gen. Up until then BMW is still making 3rd gen as 2019 model.
TSTindustries so it will be your pleasure if you work on the gen 4 taillights bro..Really as the my have ditched the iconic asymmetrical and the iconic tail so atleast a taillight could make her a good lookin bike so we all are rely on tst to make something tempting we would love to get the gen tail from tst but need to be fitted to gen 4 as well which is only possible by the help of tst industries which we love alot
The one we currently offer is one of our best selling lights. We appreciate the feedback and to each their own. But we more than likely won’t redesign that light anytime soon, if ever.
Nice light but OEM design looks better IMO.

Great looking tail!!! But is that a Toce exhaust on a BMW? When do we get that sound check?

We do not stock this particular exhaust but we are one of the biggest Toce Performance dealers so we can hook you up.
Which exhaust is Mounted ??
It's a shame you guys didn't release this years ago.
Do they have an E letter license on them? For the European market?
No, that is not something we have at this time.

What about the LED plate light etc.
Were in the UK we need the original indicators as well so how would this work?.
Our license plate light taps into the wires on the flash controller that comes with the tail light
Badass new set, even more badass tail light. Good job guys!
does it have e-number approval for european street use?

You will have to explain what parking light is
I bought and plugged all in. On of the turn signals is not working. Does that mean the part is faulty

How to connect the number plate wires?
I just installed mine and realised i need to hardwire new wires to the number plate light
Will a diagnostic tool be needed after installation?
If installed properly, not at all.
Quick question. Can you just use the tail light function only without the indicator?
Yes but we will have to walk you through circumventing the use of our flash rate controller.
@@TSTindustries Awesome thank you
@@CurryRiderSP that's what I was thinking. I'd probably leave the integrated indicators off as I ain't wanting to chop into my OEM harness.

Do you have one of our Low Profile License Plate Lights? Or are you trying to connect a different license plate light to the subharness?
Great vid👍
Thanks

@@cr4zyw3ld3r sure thing
If I buy this, is there a way to still use the OEM left and right signal?
There is but it is not plug and play
Is the taillight approved in Germany? Because of the TÜV.
It is not.
Will it fit the s1000r?
Yes, that information is listed in the description and the product page.
I want for order but I live in Thailand
How I do for order
Unfortunately we do not ship to Thailand at this time, sorry about that.
Always the best!
Would love to buy but would need a legal version for germany! Bet u would have a big market for selling here!
Just the fact that the tail light has signals integrated into it will make it illegal.
@@TSTindustries yeah I think a version with just a taillight function would be a great hit in Europe.
