I thought that they had duct taped him to the stool, because he looked like he was about to fall off of it. When the host asked him a particular question that involved him playing a particular riff, as soon as he hit the first note he changed into a different person! His playing was effortless and incredible. But as soon as he stopped playing, he went back to looking like he was going to fall off the stool LOL

    I’ve loved Keith since I was a teen. I wrote a letter to him via the management at the time, saying how much he influenced my playing, that although I was friends with EVH and George Lynch, and full was in an Aerosmith based band, but whenever I’d improvise bluesy rock, everyone said I sounded like Keif. Unfortunately, I never heard back. I’d still would be thrilled to meet him!

    He should have done the whole song and then did the little chicken walk around the desk and the whole damn place would have went up for grabs! I've seen Jimmy Fallon do musical impersonations before I think he's probably number one on the planet. His Jim Morrison tribute is uncanny he should do more of that in fact he could just do a whole show just with him doing tributes to rock icons. Really he missed his calling he should have been a freaking musician and the lead singer in a band I don't know what he was thinking why would he do what he's doing when he could be a freaking Rockstar we need some really good front men they're all turning 90. Great post!

      Open G is difficult and pretty rare. Every chord different and it’s like learning to play a whole new instrument. Once you learn the ropes tho it’s fun. Allows you freedom to play all kinds of shit while still sounding in key. Kieth and a few lesser known old timers are the only one I know who do this

    • @TheMightyYak

    Keith could make a guitar sound good with most strings missing, he's a master of desguise, whatever he does always sounds good, and he's always smiling !
    In his early days he always appeared like he was carrying the world on his shoulder's.
    This guy has proved that death doesn't mean dead, he'll
    continue to still be around when the world ends, what a
    an icon he is, nothing will put this man down.
    Apparently he has the best memory out of the remaining Stones, and while there is blood in the bank's,
    Keith will continue the journey.
    Without Keith and Mick, there wouldn't be The Stones, they are living proof of longivity !!! Well done guys !

    They were on a really early tour, in a bus. Keith told Nashville guitarist Bobby Goldsboro he could never get "Wake up Little Suzie"to sound like the guitar on the Everly Brothers version. Bobby said, "Cause it's not in the standard tuning. It's in "open G." Thus was the Stones sound born.❤❤❤

      Such an underrated comment. Today seems so simple but back then there was no internet. No UA-cam guitar guru explain you open tunes. I remember McCartney telling in an interview that when he was sixteen he and the quarrymen travel half the town to met a guy who knew how to play a B minor chord. today it's hilarious, but back then it wasn't that easy. You had to be more than a genius to figure out those things alone. The idea Keith had to play 5 strings in open g like a banjo... Geez, that man smoked really good stuff back in the days to figure out something like that...

    • @connoryork6631
      @connoryork6631 7 місяців тому

      Lies. Brian Jones played open G as early as '63 with Little Red Rooster. Open G is an American blues slide tuning idk why Keith pretends he invented it. Also, Brian started the band and taught them the blues. Keith learned the tuning from Brian but took the top string off because it's hard to bar the chord with your hands.
      I literally learned open tuning from Brians' early Rolling Stone records. Next thing I know, I see Keith talking about a 5 sting tuning he "made up". Whatever Keith
