    Well...There looks to be digging involved. There also looks to be wood sitting in concrete, as you said you put the concrete just over the bottom of the post. that will rot wood faster than just being in the ground because concrete does not drain. Am I missing something?

    • @fenceeasier
      @fenceeasier  2 місяці тому +2

      Yes, there is a little digging involved, not anywhere close to digging a post hole. Concrete is brought up to the base of the wood posts. The design of the direct metal connection from the concrete to the wood posts eliminates concern for any rot that would happen in exceptionally wet environments, which are few and far between. Any one in an extreme wet environment, more so than Florida, contact me and I can walk you through how to easily eliminate this concern.

      I like this, true it's better to dig 6-8" or so than 4 feet especially in rocky or shale like where I live.

      @@jeffharper7579 Exactly! It saves so much time. I've spent years digging post holes and would never go back to the old method after developing what we have.

      Funny " red-neck " story,I live in the mountains so to speak needed to dig a 4 foot deep by 12 inch hole for a temporary pole in dry clay and shale so I don't have a post aulger so I used a spud bar and a shop vac only took me about 15minutes and I was done and no back ache.

    Looks like a good concept. Also looks like a lot of work and expense. Do you have a cost breakdown?

      We have several and a couple still out there that show install methods that we have simplified and improved.
      The wood post installation method has been improved the most. Cost per post for the metal bases runs around $25 per post, depending on how many you need.

    That aspen was dry rotted, to begin with.

      It may look like it is dry, but it is certainly not rot. We also recommend sealing and staining your fence periodically!

      Some places metal T-Posts just don’t work well. In really tough conditions, we often put a point on ours. Not sure what soil condition you have.

    I can build 10 acres of fence in the time you set a couple of posts.. What a waste of energy

    those base brackets aren't free and if you have to change out a post say do to fire there is no way to get at the screws. and on a very big place you would go broke concreating in all the posts Why not just use drill stock it wont rot
