Installed these today using your video as a guide. I'm very novice at this sort of thing and got it done. Couple notes for those wanting to do this:
I didn't have one of those magnets they reference a few times. Used needle nose pliers and it worked fine.
Getting the old bulb disconnected is the hardest part. It's really fragile and can bend easily from the flat head screw driver. I'd say use like 80% hands and 20% flat head screw driver.
Couldn't have done it without the step by step instructions. Quality product too.
Great to know we could help Scoot! Thanks for the feedback and tips for other installers!
Well done. Easy to understand. Short, and to the point. Good, steady video camera angles. Thanks, amigo!
Awesome...I was looking to get some lights for mine so great video. I think I got my Raptor around the time you began these videos so timing couldn’t have been any better lol
Thanks Juan! Hope you're loving your Raptor as much as we're loving ours!
Nice! If only the 15+ were this easy to replace!
Thank you for making and posting this video. Very helpful.
Great to know we could be of help Parker!
Don't confuse the bright steel shield with the actual connector. I use a small straight pick to pry out at the connector corners. I place the small screws in their bores and then gently lower the bulb housing down, the screws always have stayed in place for easy tightening. These screw holes are easily striped just snug them down and plug in your connector.
BINGO!!! Thanks for the tip, it was difficult to see the actual plug under the strain relief. But, you nailed it, a small screw driver did the trick!
thank you video was a great help
Thanks, that worked great
Thanks for sharing 👍
Much appreciated. Looks simple enough.
Wish me luck!!!
@stage3motorsports, why does your website say these are discontinued?
Any before and after comparisons? I was surprised by how poorly the factory HID headlights actually are. I would have through they would have performed like other HID projector headlights. Full LED replacements would really be nice! Hopefully this is something that is coming soon....
Do you need to install a morimoto harness for these? My truck came with the conversion kit, but it keeps going out
So curious, does these have to take time to warm up? I have the stock hid’s and looking to upgrade but I want to make sure these act like the stock ones?
Fantastic. I had it in my head that because these lights were HID that replacement would be harder for some reason. The steps are not much different than replacing a regular old halogen bulb. Thank you for saving me time and money.
do i need to reaim or readjust headlights after doing this ?
How important is the ground wire
Hi, will a video be uploaded for the rest of the off-road lights installed in the raptor?? The raptor looks amazing!
Yes there will! We are working on putting together a video on all the Baja Designs lights we added to this build as we speak!
How do you aim them?
What size socket do I need for the first bolts?
Any before and after shots or a pic of one side stock and the other side DD?
At 0:11
So are the stock lights 4300K
Is this the same for 2012 Raptor ?
I'm looking to get these as replacement to the very bad stock ones. Is the 6k lighting higher than the stock? What are the lumens for stock hid.
I think stock is 3200k.. I could be wrong... but I know 6k is a big upgrade from stock
Do these have a higher light output than the stock bulbs, or will i have to upgrade the ballasts as well?
I have the same question.
Where I can buy those bulbs?
Where can I get the ball at
Do they make an led d3s to this same housing ?
I don’t think so. These are HID. I might be wrong but I think they are totally different than LED
Can i wire in a led light bar to these type of lights to have the high beams activate the light bar or is that a bad idea?
My t10 screws striped right away! So annoyed 🙄
How dumb that you can't connect/disconnect the connector with the bulb out.
He made it look easy but it really a pain when you do it for the first time. Really a poor design.
I’ve never heard about a t10 till this day
The “T” in T10 indicates Torque tip.
Honestly that's a lot of work to swap bulbs out. Jesus
considering it's a modern vehicle . . . fairly easy.
As far as maintenance, nothing seems to be made user friendly anymore
Y caras. En chile 300 mil pesos
