Hi Joe, ive tried quite a few intercom systems for helmets, but ive used them on different helmets also, different helmets can actualy change the sound of the intercoms, so giving an acurate comparison is not always easy, but like you i definately ,the cardo systems have always done the job for me, i now favour the cardo freecom x4 , slimmest in the series and has the great sound also.ive tried some cheap models and found many of them pretty good ,even thoug they are usually poor build. i now use only Shoei and Arai helmets with the cardo for max effect. thank anyway joe, great review
Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes, I agree as in most things in life, you do get what you pay for. My go to setup is my SHOEI helmet and Cardo. BUT..... As you know it comes at a cost. I'm just glad we have options as some people may not need a fancy coms system or it may be for occasional use or just for vice navigation etc.. So it's good we have options and pretty good ones too that won't break the bank. But yeah, the more expensive products are definitely better quality and performance, but it does come at a price. People just need to figure out if the cost justifies it for themselves. Thanks again and safe travels!
Sound quality is important, but ease of pairing is more important to me. Too many units are designed to connect to each other but difficult to connect to other brands. I own three different units and have to swap them out (using lots of 3M tape) depending on who rides with me!
I have the Fodsports FX6 pro. I really only use it for talking to passenger, I've made a few phone calls on it as well. I found the volume either not loud enough or not clear enugu at highway speeds. I also have cheaper hybrid helmets as well, so take that for what it's worth. My biggest complaint is they are sometimes a HUGE PITA to link sometimes after shutting them off. I normally just leave them on even if we stop for hours somewhere. But for the price, they do work
Great. Video thanks for putting this together. Have you ever tried any of the Uclear brand? Looking at getting the first Bluetooth for my wife and myself.
Thanks. And no I haven't tried any of the Uclear ones. There seems to be a lot of different brands out there but many seem like the same product but under a different name. But I'll have to look into those. Thanks
Have you tried the LEXIN B4FM? I just ordered the G2P, hope i didn't make a mistake, but it does look more sleek than the b4fm. The only minus i see is the range is 1000m instead 2000m on paper. Thanks!
@@meechie9023 its alright, a bit quiet on my bike at 60 mph (100 km/h) and above, but I did apply the spacers for speakers, that moves them closer to my ears so it was a biit better.
I can't give you an accurate answer as I don't have a Freecom headset to test with. But the Edge was definitely one of the top as far as audio output. Most brands also come with spacers to use as backers so that you can get the speakers even close to your ears. Which helps cut down wind noise and makes them louder as they are placed closer to your ears
That's a tough call. I like the MS1Pro audio better but ONLY with their upgraded speakers. BUT.... I like the features and the ease of use of the XGP X10 better. Not that the XGP X10 sounds bad, but the MS1Pro with the upgraded speakers do sound better
@@Mudslidex1 The fodsports m1-s plus should sound just as good as the pro with the upgraded speakers or is the pro better? I like the fact that the plus has fm radio. I have the fx6 in my helmet that I use to trail ride on my quad but haven't used it on the trails yet. Need something for my snowmobile helmet now.
@@PeteyPablo408 Cool that you wear ear plugs. I started wearing earplugs religiously when the tinnitus started. I notice a lot more motorcyclists wearing them which is good, we don’t realise how loud and high frequency wind noise is. Another reason I tell people don’t waste your money on a cheap helmet.
FYI Cardo Edge is primarily Mesh not Bluetooth, and price-wise it's not even in the same ballpark for that reason, it's no comparison, so if you're buying Edge to do what the others do it's a waste of money.
@@Mudslidex1 amazing how many options there are in the market currently. I remember a few years ago when it was only sena and cardo and neither worked well. It is good to have some competition.
Really appreciate you making this video. It helped me pick the right brand
Thanks for the feedback. Hope you found it helpful. Safe travels!

Great test. How come you didn’t test any Sena?
Hi, thank you for this! Have you tried the Fodsport FX8 Pro? If so, where would you put it in this list and how loud is it? Thanks!
1:00 Minute Mark Joe It's the MO FOX Y 10 - Y 20 System on LAZADA !

how about fodsport fx8 air or lexin G2p which would you prefer? are they both can easily paired with other brand?
You should put your loudness and audio quality rating in the description. I still don't know which one had the best quality.
Know this is a few months late. The first one the brand dame is Rorrem. Found this video when looking up a review is the only reason I know.
Thanks! I had no idea

How does the Cardo Edge compare to the Freecom x2duo volume I m hard of hearing looking for the loudest headset

I’ve used SENA for yrs. Has its issues. Sena needs to update.
Do you think the fodsports m1s pro is better then the XGP X10 in sound quality and options?

Which one would you say is 2nd best for sound quality? I'm sure Cardo is the best sounding but thats a lot of money for a unit.

So which one would you recommend for a Loud harley davidson? With the current set up I have, I can barely hear my passenger?
If you can’t hear your passenger you’re probably damaging your hearing.
I’d recommend a decent set of mufflers and ear plugs.
@PanRider939 I already have one bad ear and I wear earplugs

3Dio ear-shaped microphone you should invest if this is your platform.

I can’t buy into the $400 headset scheme. I have an HJC 10b. It does the job but, regardless of what you have, voice props should be basic.
What about the ASMAX S1? Will that be coming to the channel? It looks like it might be a top contender
I haven’t seen that one yet but I may reach out to them to see if they will send me one to review

Which one works best with a Harley? 😂
I’m not sure. Might have a different bike again by the time I test them with it. Lol
Why are you wearing sun glasses ???
Because it was middle of the afternoon and very bright out. Plus they are prescription so I can see what I'm doing ;)
Plus they look nice !@@Mudslidex1
Nothing wrong with sunglasses, he's in shade but directly looking into light
Its common knowledge badasses where sunglasses inside.
