If You've heard what happened with Sonic Omen then you know exactly what I'm talking about, I'd rather let Sega follow their own path rather than listening to the wrong Sonic fans or the toxic sonic fans of the toxic ungrateful sonic fandom, Sega DOESN'T care about It's fans or the fan games in reality and being hired immediately If you make a Sonic game doesn't really happen immediately I like the Sonic fan games on the internet for free exactly the way they are and I rather have them only for free on the internet rather than letting them be approved by Sega, The Sonic brand must be protected from the wrong hands and the wrong Sonic fans that can destroy the sonic brand easily. *I don't want another dark age of Sonic a fourth time.*
I see your point, your definitely correct about how SEGA should be more protective from toxic fans but the same time I’m definitely glad they a lot more chill with fan games
The fact that sonic mania's creators were fans who the got to make the ios and Android ports of sonic 1, 2 and cd then made sonic mania. It's truly a one and a million thing to happen.
@UltraPlushie The reason why Sega can't do much with sonic 3 and knuckles is because they might get sued and lose a lot of money thanks to the fact that Micheal Jackson worked on the soundtrack and Sega kept it in without crediting him.
Sega of Japan: Killed the Dreamcast and made very poor business decisions Sega of America: Supports and works with fans to create awesome content (all within reason of course)
@HONOR Yet Sony offered Sega a collaboration chance to make SEGA-Playstation Console in the past - look it up. It is still valid that Sega were at fault for not allowing Sony to work with them for a video game console which by then had shown it's fangs when PS2 hit the stores. Completely annihilating Dreamcast's sales. I used to hold some kind of a misplaced grudge at Sony being the reason for Dreamcast's downfall, but i gotta admit that it's ( Sega ) their fault to begin with.

Edit:Ayyyy thumbnail changed
i mean creators of brick bronze was making a lot of money off of nintendo even sega would take it down because they are making a lot of money off there property
Sega: "No worries! Unlike Nintendo, we love your fangames! Keep at it!" Fans: "So what about your other franchises besides Sonic? You own Atlus and Persona technically--" Atlus: "Oh no, you will be shot on sight if you even think about touching our Persona."
Mario: Honestly, I feel like Nintendo is going a bit too corporate, and they're not giving fans the credit they deserve... Hopefully one day we can learn to embrace our fans, and learn whatever it takes to show the fanbase we care. Sonic: We know, Mario. And luckily, you're not like the company where you came from.
Fan games should be always allowed, if not made for monetary reasons. Good to hear once again that SEGA is cool with it. Not to mention that those collaborations with some fans were some big profitable projects for the company, too. It's a good relationship that I hope continues and keeps bearing fruit.
I googled Mr Blobby. Heebie-jeebies. Also: I truly love how Sega is one of the few Japan based companies that embraces it's fan base. Sonic has always had this sense of, "We know we had a rough patch, but we're still trying", and that's what I like about it, they keep trying.
Street of rage isn't sega's complete property unlike sonic, similar to bayonetta, sega IP but published by Nintendo so fans can't make bayonetta fan games.
I think they like Fan Games because it's fans providing themselves and each other with content while Sonic Team (hopefully) gets to take their time creating the next official title. Plus, it ensures that their core audience will never let Sonic fall out of their consciousness since they'll often have new fan projects to play on a fairly consistent basis. Also, eyyy. 3:59 I know where that quote came from!
Sega does what Nintendon't: Give love to fans and listening to them I remind Sega that it was thanks to the fans that we have Sonic Mania and the Sonic redesign.
Nintendoes what segcan't and that is make quality games and a reason why they don't need support from fan games and profit better since Nintendo makes quality after quality game and fans trust Nintendo on it and I will still continue to support Nintendo. Sega just relies on fan games because they can't make a good game and a fan game will just keep sonic relevant from the dead and ship out flop after flop after flop
Another aspect to consider why Sega loves fangames is the fan base on its own ambitions not just creating new content and ideas. But also preserving Sonic history with mastery extensive documentations. Sonic is the only franchise I can see with so many Alphas/Beta roms well preserved and the Sonic games that Sega themselves cannot touch whether technical or legal reasons. After all, I can only see Sega being internally grateful for the fan base for keeping Sonic the Hedgehog 3 alive.
I think they could go much further with this. They should fund a lot more small teams like Lizard Cube, Games Atelier and Christian Whiteheads. They all have original ideas as well.
I can't really blame nintendo. They are just pretty strict and i can respect that. While other people are saying SEGA is instantly better because they allow fans to make games dedicated to sonic.
Those who make fan projects are often those passionate, so it would make a great deal of sense to hire the more skilled/talented ones rather than attempt to bury their work

If You've heard what happened with Sonic Omen then you know exactly what I'm talking about, I'd rather let Sega follow their own path rather than listening to the wrong Sonic fans or the toxic sonic fans of the toxic ungrateful sonic fandom, Sega DOESN'T care about It's fans or the fan games in reality and being hired immediately If you make a Sonic game doesn't really happen immediately
I like the Sonic fan games on the internet for free exactly the way they are and I rather have them only for free on the internet rather than letting them be approved by Sega, The Sonic brand must be protected from the wrong hands and the wrong Sonic fans that can destroy the sonic brand easily.
*I don't want another dark age of Sonic a fourth time.*
I see your point, your definitely correct about how SEGA should be more protective from toxic fans but the same time I’m definitely glad they a lot more chill with fan games
@@gachaevil1773 Exactly!
Fans:Can I make a fan game ?
Sega:Of course
Nintendo: N O
xd
nintendo: whippity wort, see you in court
@@missingno2401 also Nintendo: Swiggity swash, give us the cash!
sega be like: its not a fangame anymore because you’re hired.
The fact that sonic mania's creators were fans who the got to make the ios and Android ports of sonic 1, 2 and cd then made sonic mania.
It's truly a one and a million thing to happen.
Everywhere I see you.
@UltraPlushie The reason why Sega can't do much with sonic 3 and knuckles is because they might get sued and lose a lot of money thanks to the fact that Micheal Jackson worked on the soundtrack and Sega kept it in without crediting him.
SEGA: We love seeing our fans talents and creativity,
Nintendo: WE ARE THE DEVELOPERS HERE, NOT YOU..
Heck with it, SEGA even appreciated the Sonic X Reanimated collab that people made
Sega of Japan: Killed the Dreamcast and made very poor business decisions
Sega of America: Supports and works with fans to create awesome content (all within reason of course)
Don't forget...... '06
We will never forget.
I used to hold some kind of a misplaced grudge at Sony being the reason for Dreamcast's downfall, but i gotta admit that it's ( Sega ) their fault to begin with.
sega is the "opposite day" of nintendo
also so many people did the nintendon't joke
i nintendon't do that :>
Yes, they care about fan projects, they have no console anymore and quality of games are not as great as Nintendo games.
@@JamesTheFoxeArt you gotta be the opposite all the way!
@@JamesTheFoxeArt the no consloe thing is something thry choose.Yeah not great games.Mania and team sonic racing say otherwise.
Good music, bad games. Nintendo is opposite.
@@sonichegehodge5778 but...nintendo has good music
1:50 lol Doctor Who reference xD
Anyway jokes aside,Nintendo was always agressive towards the fans' fangames. For example Pokemon:Brick Bronze,it was the best game made on the ROBLOX engine and everyone even myself enjoyed it.But then Nintendo had to take it all away,SEGA on the other hand isnt like Nintendo, like Project Heroes,The Infinity Engine and Sonic Tripple Trouble 16-bit.I am glad the fans of the Sonic Community puts their effort in their hardwork and doesnt get taken down❤.
Edit:Ayyyy thumbnail changed
I had a good team and everything in brickbronze and they took it away.
Someone still remember...
RIP brick bronze
I wish it was still up.
i mean creators of brick bronze was making a lot of money off of nintendo even sega would take it down because they are making a lot of money off there property
Honestly I think Sega embraces fan games so much because they're desperate, and they know that fan games are their best chance
Sonic Mania was better received than Sonic Forces. Clearly there are fans that have a better idea of where to take Sonic than his own parent company.
Heck no.Team sonic racing.
I just love the way you draw these pictures!
Instead of criticizing their work, Sega learned to compromise with their fans!
Great choice, Sega! ; )
"Sega does what nintendon't" never was so true
Go away Sonic fanboy!!!
@@atre5763 why are you in a sonic video then
@@luigifonzies2439 believe me, in almost all Sonic theme post there is at least one Mario fan saying garbage of him
Sega: "No worries! Unlike Nintendo, we love your fangames! Keep at it!"
Fans: "So what about your other franchises besides Sonic? You own Atlus and Persona technically--"
Atlus: "Oh no, you will be shot on sight if you even think about touching our Persona."
"no copyright laws in the universe will stop me"
Let's hope other companies follow in Sega's footsteps and embrace fan projects.
Mario: Honestly, I feel like Nintendo is going a bit too corporate, and they're not giving fans the credit they deserve... Hopefully one day we can learn to embrace our fans, and learn whatever it takes to show the fanbase we care.
Sonic: We know, Mario. And luckily, you're not like the company where you came from.
wow✨
Mario,Sonic and SEGA when they see a fangame:WHOA THAT'S SO GOOD I LOVE IT
nintendo=D.M.C.A. lawsuit
SEGA: Yes!
Nintendo: Delete this creator, we have Mario Maker
Fan games should be always allowed, if not made for monetary reasons. Good to hear once again that SEGA is cool with it. Not to mention that those collaborations with some fans were some big profitable projects for the company, too.
It's a good relationship that I hope continues and keeps bearing fruit.
I wish Nintendo would just do the same instead of just shutting down fan projects.
I believe that SEGA’s positive approval of having fans to help with them making into an official game is a huge opportunity for them
I googled Mr Blobby. Heebie-jeebies.
Also: I truly love how Sega is one of the few Japan based companies that embraces it's fan base. Sonic has always had this sense of, "We know we had a rough patch, but we're still trying", and that's what I like about it, they keep trying.
"Why Sega Loves Fan Games"
*Points to Streets Of Rage Remake*
CrimsonDragoon
Pretty sure SORR asked for money, which a fangame isn't supposed to do.
Street of rage isn't sega's complete property unlike sonic, similar to bayonetta, sega IP but published by Nintendo so fans can't make bayonetta fan games.
You didn't watch the video did you?
Please watch the damn video before commenting...
@@Cinko420 no they didn't!
Nintendo: Your fans made Sonic fan games. You better take them down like I do.
SEGA: *Your brain's even slower than your feet!*
SEGA: *Loves Fangames*
Nintendo: *Hates Fangames*
"Perfectly balanced, as all things should be"
Here's the Explanation.
Sega loves it because it makes their characters look better.
SEGA: Loves Fangames
Nintendo: HATES most Fangames.

@@feefre
His voice.
I remember a time when SEGA kind of went against Fans a few years ago. Now they are fine with all sort of fan games.
They weren't kidding when they said "Sega does what Ninten-don't".
Bruh imagine if we got an official JSR made by fan devs.
Its honestly my dream
to work with SEGA
Sega: you made this game? Well we would like to hire you for a project we are making! Thank you!
Nintendo: life in prison with no parole.
Is actually really cool to see a big game studio respecting and approving his fans work
Sega does what Nintendon't: Give love to fans and listening to them
I remind Sega that it was thanks to the fans that we have Sonic Mania and the Sonic redesign.
And Team Sonic Racing
The comment section is warming my heart. I'm loving seeing people talking about how loving Sega is to their fans
Sega: Do you like fan...
Nintendo: We don’t do that around here.
When you make a fan game
Sega: nice!
Nintendo: THIS IS NOT OKIE DOKIE
Nintendoes what segcan't and that is make quality games and a reason why they don't need support from fan games and profit better since Nintendo makes quality after quality game and fans trust Nintendo on it and I will still continue to support Nintendo.
Sega just relies on fan games because they can't make a good game and a fan game will just keep sonic relevant from the dead and ship out flop after flop after flop
@@maplemiles3381 you live a sad life huh?
@@maplemiles3381 yeah cause those new barebones game sure are quality. GEE 6 reused sports for $40!!!
Sega's transition from not liking fan games to loving fan games is like Piccolo's transition from evil to good.
Sega: *Yes!, You can do cool fangames with our mascot!.*
Nintendo: mone-NO! YOU CANT DO FANGAMES WITH *MY* MASCOT, *GET OUT* .
1:42 - that happened on my birthday :D
Nintendo: Do I a care that Sega loves fan games... No I do not.
I think they could go much further with this. They should fund a lot more small teams like Lizard Cube, Games Atelier and Christian Whiteheads. They all have original ideas as well.
Nintendo: No You can't Make A Fan game of Our Properties, This will be shut down!
Sega: Great work on the fan game, Keep it up!
Your voice is really soothing, loved the video
Sega: We love fan games!
Nintendo: The F*ck is that?
SEGA: You're Hired!
Nintendo: You're under arrest!
I can't really blame nintendo. They are just pretty strict and i can respect that. While other people are saying SEGA is instantly better because they allow fans to make games dedicated to sonic.
“Alright time to finish my ga-“
“That’s cool and all but your hired you start Monday”
“SEGA DOSE WHAT NINTENDON’T”
Get out!!
Detective Joshua nope
Both companies recieve the same game request
Nintendo: *NO!*
Sega: Yes
I don't think sega would still be here without christian whitehead and sonic mania, it was and still is the best sonic game since generations!
1990s views on sega: radical
2010s views on sega: bad. Really bad. Never good bad.
2020: respect 100
Those who make fan projects are often those passionate, so it would make a great deal of sense to hire the more skilled/talented ones rather than attempt to bury their work
Note: SEGA loves their fanbase so much they added a Sanic tshirt to put on the players oc in sonic forces
Current Sega: Nice job on this fangame
Old Sega and Nintendo: *no*
Sooooo, to summarize it
Creative fans: "No copyright law is going to stop me! "
Nintendo: Your fangames reek of money... Destroy it in the Hellfire.
Sega: I want you to make some Fangames as they are pretty cool.
Sega: nice fan game, really fun! See ya soon!
Nintendo: so your pizzarias named Luigi? Take this down or *die*
